    Disappointed

Group of 6, book 3 rooms with pool together , did the requests paid as one reservation at arrival all room apart diferentes building , simply they don’t care , they no give you an alternative and there is never space for dining at there restaurants , all is already book since the day you arrive . . Some alcohol drink they run out … is just everything disappointing , look for better service and option at another hotel

Wouldn't consider this a luxury resort!

My husband and I just got back, here is my honest review. And before anyone comes with negative comments let me say this is my review/opinions. We opted for the swim out room, while its nice it's really not worth the extra $$$ as we spent almost the entire time at the main pool and beach. Drinks were good, not watered down. We did have an issue when we first arrived to the pool bar as they didn't have a particular brand we drink but after speaking with the front desk (and tipping) they stocked the bar for us. Bianca and Karina are amazing waitresses by the pool they were always taking care of us! Pool is nice, one day the had a foam party which was amazing and fun! Chairs can be tricky if you get there too late. Beach, if you like the ocean I would say make sure to bring water shoes as the seaweed is horrible. Staff was working diligently everyday but it's out of their control. I personally didn't even bother to get in as the smell can be a bit harsh. I was a bit disappointed that they don't have any staff attending at the beach to bring you drinks. We have been to Secrets in both Punta Cana and Cap Cana and staff was always onsite at the beach. Restaurants, in my opinion the only 2 that were okay was Meat (Steakhouse) note if you want a good Porterhouse you will pay extra. The Dominican restaurant was also good. I wouldn't recommend the Brazilian or the Mexican. Let's just say when we placed our order at the Mexican restaurant they brought us what they wanted... and it was a language barrier as we speak fluent Spanish. The buffet restaurant for breakfast we had to constantly beg to get coffee and water. The coffee shop was great! Our room was nice, housekeeper kept it clean and fully stocked our mini bar. Fresh towels everyday. One thing I must point out, if you suffer from golfers elbow or tennis elbow like myself you will find it very very difficult to flush the toilets. Lobby bar nice, we spent most nights there after dinner however never once did a waitress come to ask for our drink orders. Bottom line, is we wouldnt go back. I honestly can't blame the staff for having attitudes or not wanting to help or be friendly as we witness so many people not tipping. It's sad as they don't get paid enough and working outside in such hot weather is torture. Hope my review helps!

    Average

This is a huge property where they have now combined 6 properties in one. Which makes the property very confusing. One side of rooms are adults only the other side is family literally. Kept bumping in kids even though I booked an adults only property. How do you chop up one hotter to make six and have some sections adults and some family . This is insane. The last time I was at this resort was in 2015. While there has been an upgrade to the room , which are now very nice and modern . They have an old smell. The food in the Buffett lacked variety and was very minimal. The beach had a lot of seaweeds. . The lunch options was sparse and not good., not much options or choices for breakfast or lunch . Thank God for a la crate Restuarant, which proved to be life saving and were actually good.. limbo was the best. Some of The staff come off as a bit racist toward people of darker color. I understand that this is a predominantly Spanish speaking country but they need more people English speaking or bilingual staff. I expected a bit more and was left disappointed. I was celebrating my birthday and requested 3 weeks prior for myself, daughter and close friends be placed in the same building that was not honored , even though I made the request through the privilege club of which I’m a member. I requested room be decorated they said no they can give me a birthday banner, outside the door but failed to do so. My daughter surprised me and decorated the swimup with a happy birthday banner she bought on the trip and some balloon she bought and blew up.

Attention Customer Service Team Subject: Complaints Recent Stay. With all due respect, Vincent St. Jean

In general, while I appreciated the amenities and overall atmosphere, for a few nights, we encountered considerable noise disruptions that impacted our experience. This came from open-air stages near our suite. While I'm at it the music played at all your restaurants is loud and garbled to the point, that you can't hear whether it's classical, western or rock & roll. A real headache maker. There is a language barrier throughout the Resort. We encountered situations such as Staff members not greeting us upon arrival. Unhelpful responses when I inquired about the phone, television, scooters and butler service which was not as advertised. Overall, my experience was somewhat affected by the lack of friendliness from some of your staff. It feels that management has changed hands, infamously and notoriously this time. There is a language barrier throughout the Resort. There should be STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES regarding the whole aspect of running a resort along with a training program in all facets of operation. For the money spent, it was a vacation to HELL! I assure you, there will be no recommendations to my family, friends and on my media list regarding this resort.

    Don’t waste your money here!

From the moment we arrived the staff were less than welcoming. They made us feel like an inconvenience. We paid for a swim up room. Don’t waste your money as it was FAR from luxurious. Basically a churched up motel 6 with an attached pool. The ac in our room barely worked and the return vent on the ceiling leaked a huge puddle in the floor. To my horror I woke up several times to find giant cockroaches scurrying about my room. The “entertainment” consisted of a violinist playing cover music such as Justin Bieber. Every night in the main lobby it was some version of nursing home entertainment. The food was pretty good until the last night when something I ate gave me diarrhea and vomiting. The beach wasn’t great either. I had to get up around 6 every morning just to get a beach chair under an umbrella. Anyways I would never go back. Don’t waste your money.
