When Bolongo Bay begins accepting guests this June, it will be a soft re-opening. During this time, The Oasis Restaurant and Bar will be open, poolside, along with the swim up bar as well. Iggies Beach Bar & Grill is currently being renovated and will be open later this year. During this time, there is a small area around the structure on the beach that is cordoned off as work is being done. As a major hurricane affected the island a few months ago, there is still some work being done, but the hotel is making strides to come back better than ever.

Bolongo Bay Beach Resort
Great family run resort on the Caribbean side of St. Thomas, USVI. They are still recovering from the two hurricanes of 2017. The beach is passable, but the rest of the resort is up and running great. The staff is awesome !! Highly recommend the Heavenly Days sunset sail. My wife and I really enjoyed it. You can reach nearby St. John's via the ferry from Red Hook on the east end. We enjoyed great day adventure over in Cruz Bay. Overall, a great trip. We'll be back !!

DISAPPOINTED
I must say my experience at Bolongo Bay left ALOT to be desired. The rooms were tiny and infested with mosquitoes. For about 80% of the trip bc of the amount of people staying at the resort they only had buffet style breakfast which didn’t cater to non beef or pork eaters. The drinks were lackluster and the bar didn’t open until 11am. Cats roamed freely in the dining area which is strange and not hygienic. The excursions advertised on the website ( sunset cruise )were not available at the resort. The gym if you can call it that consisted of an elliptical, treadmill and was beyond tiny. Very disappointing to an avid gym person. Out very first day our umbrella was “borrowed “ by the staff and would never have been mentioned if we didn’t speak up. I definitely vacation abou 4x a year and Bolongo Bay Resort is not an establishment I will visit again nor recommend
The Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is a nice resort but they are still refurbishing the facility due to the hurricanes. They stated that upfront so I expected seeing personnel on site working on the facility. The room was nice, unfortunately I paid extra for a second floor room with a balcony with an ocean view and got a first floor room with a side view of the building across from the resort. You could still see the beach and ocean if your turned to your left but not the room I had hope for or paid extra for. Out of the 5 rooms our group booked through different means no one got the room they reserved which was disappointing.
The pool and bar area was very clean and staff was nice. The small shop what we needed at reasonable prices. The restaurant had a good selection lunch and dinner options that were very good.
Outside of the not getting the room I paid for the resort was nice.
Horrible service. My wife and I only were able to eat there once the whole 6 days we were there. No one ever came to greet us at the bar. Never asked for our orders. Or did and never came back. Someone we came down with waited almost 2 hours for a sandwich. The excuse for the service was they got hit by a hurricane, but I think that it's a very poor excuse for not caring about doing your job.

Advertised prices are a starting at price based on the cheapest airfare out of a particular airport, typically Miami or Fort Lauderdale. Departure city, dates of travel, and availability will affect the price.
JenCC
the accommodation prices are based on at least two people
sonrae
probably bc you are not traveling within said dates...check the fine print
MrsWilson

I love being just steps away from the beach, plus the resort is very family friendly and it's not too big. It was perfect getting to know the staff well and other guests!

You'll need to take a cab to check out other restaurants, but when the food is so great at the resort, why bother?

Bolongo Bay Beach Resort: Discover A Hidden Caribbean Treasure
Family owned and operated since 1974 by the
Doumengs, Bolongo Bay Beach Resort's small, friendly atmosphere offers a vacation that seems like home. We're not the only ones who think the Doumengs are doing it right. Richard Doumeng, Managing Director, was awarded the "Golden Conch" Caribbean Hotelier of the Year Award by the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association.
Located on a 1,000-ft stretch of golden sand, Bolongo Bay Beach Resort redefines the word "beachfront." Relax by the beach or check out the freshwater pool and its swim-up bar. After you've worked up an appetite, two open-air restaurants draw you in: lobster specialties are a hit at The Oasis, and we hear conch fritters at Iggies Beach Bar and Grill are delish. Iggies hosts lots of fun nightly entertainment, so be sure to check it out if you're up for some night time fun.
Whether you're hanging out at the beach or seeing the sights, there are tons of things to do during the day. Start a game of beach volleyball, or challenge the kids to paddleboat races. Try parasailing, or book a snorkel or scuba excursion to see the underwater world. Day trips are popular with St. John, St.
Croix and the British Virgin Islands so close, but St. Thomas also has great appeal: Paradise Point has unforgettable views, the shoreline is beautiful from Magens Bay and kids love feeding stingrays at Coral World.
Since the resort is smaller and more intimate, all rooms are beachfront, so you can enjoy the Caribbean from the privacy of your balcony.
This hotel is NOT All-Inclusive. Food and drink must be purchased separately.
Unless otherwise specified, all services are available for an additional charge.
