Lack Luster

Spent our honeymoon here. Great weather and very relaxing. Some options they say are provided, are really not. They say there are 9 restaurants that are a part of the all inclusive. Realistically, there is one buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is 2 quick way spots outside that close at 6pm. For dinner options, there are only 4 restaurants. Unlike other resorts, you can not just walk into them for dinner. You have to make reservations. What they don’t tell you is that people make reservations in advance for weeks when they are here, so when we arrived, there were no dinner options available for us. The other 2 restaurants they say are a part of the resort are “paid reservations”, both of which cost over $100 per person. RIDICULOUS! The beach and the water are horrible. So much seaweed that you can’t swim. Wanting a night stroll on the beach... can’t do it! Security is on site and says it’s “too dangerous” to walk on the beach. When asked why, security says... “there is so much going on around the word... there may be people in the bushes waiting and we can’t be responsible for our beach”. Can you believe that?!?! They don’t trust their own beach!! To say the least, this place has more downsides than up. Do not recommend.

St. Lucia

The place is very nice, and more importantly, all the staff are extremely nice and helpful. When we arrived, my husband, myself and kids age 16 and 17. Our room had one double bed and a trundle pull out bed located in front of the screen. The first night my kids slept on the trundle and found it very uncomfortable. I was a little annoyed that they would give us this kind of room when there were rooms with two double beds, which we were able to switch into. Another main issue but doesn't sound like there is much more than what they are already doing is the seaweed on the beach. No one was in the ocean the entire time we were at the hotel, we tried to go out on the kayaks but were told to come back because it was too rough. On the day we were leaving it was okay to go out. I just assumed that an island in the Carribean would have that aqua blue water I have been telling my kids about since we booked. I was not aware that you needed to be on the carribean side and not the atlantic side to have the clear blue water. Other than that we had a nice time, the food was very good in the restaurants and its a good thing we made reservations when we arrived as some were already booked.we took one excursion which was a full day and very expensive,

Coconut Bay St. Lucia

We vacation with our family every year and this year we chose St. Lucia. We normally travel with 10-16 people. We travel with infants, young adults and those of us in our 50s. Coconut Bay is an above average resort with excellent food, drinks and hospitality. There are not as many restaurant options as we normally like but the foot itself was delicious and this more than made up for the lack of choices. The drinks were made with real juices and excellent alcohol and had us coming back for more. The employees were gracious, friendly and went above and beyond for the guests. The rooms themselves are small. This includes the bathroom and I found it difficult to shave my legs in the shower. The beach left something to be desired with all of the seaweed that washed up on shore everyday but that is to be expected in the Caribbean. However, Paradise Beach was a short walk away and a much better beach.

Nice resort can’t use the beach

Pros the food at the ala cart restaurants was great the service was wonderful Room and room cleanness was really good Cons beach not usable due to sea grass. Buffers no many choices and nodes to change. Was double charged for the spa services , although spa and services were really good. No nightly shows just 3 in 6 days so many times in room by 8pm. An hour drive to all or any excursions Water park was small Aqua aerobics and it’s instructor was fantastic. Hot tubs broken. Was bused to a beach on Caribbean side but no toilets, security, chairs or food and they forgot to pick us back up. Finally got us 2 hours late. Weather great and again staff and people very nice

Hotel Description

Coconut Bay Resort and Spa St. Lucia: Get Two Resorts in One

Nestled among swaying palms in an 85-acre enclave, Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa St. Lucia is really two hotels in one. One wing, called Harmony, is reserved for couples and romance. Splash is the lighthearted name for the other, which is devoted to families and home to Cocoland, St. Lucia's largest water park. All guests are treated like royalty in this all-inclusive resort featuring one mile of gorgeous beach and 4 pools at the southern end of St Lucia.

Experience cherished moments with your sweetie each day on the Harmony side of the hotel. Lying side-by-side on intimate daybeds, or sharing special moments in the adults-only pool, you and your honey can enjoy a second honeymoon. Over at the Splash part of the hotel, it's the delighted squealing of kids having fun that warms your heart, as they cascade down one the resort's two water slides. Make enduring family memories as you challenge them to paintball or explore the area to learn about the island. If you want to take a walk on the wild side, guests also have free admission to the Coco Coral Petting Zoo where they can interact with the resort's goats, ducks and sheep!

You'll want to take advantage of the cornucopia of spa treatments available at Kai Mer Spa. Couples love the Champagne and Chocolate Package, busy moms can indulge with the Seaweed Wrap restorative and the Teen's Escape massage and facial or the Island Exotica Sugar Buff exfoliating skin treatment is perfect for your teenagers.

Four restaurants are ready to assuage your hunger after a full day of fun. Rattan chairs and Chinese lanterns add an Oriental note to Silk, where you might choose fish in black-bean sauce for your main course, followed by sticky-rice pudding. When you hanker for the flavors of Caribbean cuisine, Calabash has the best jerk entrees to put the kibosh on hunger.

About a mile away visit the 17th-century French Vieux Fort, and a little farther to the south, the Vieux Fort Lighthouse. Take a short drive up the western side of the island to the widely acclaimed Diamond Falls. Then retreat to a comfortable room to get ready to do it all again tomorrow.

This hotel is All-Inclusive.

  • Unlimited meals, drinks and snacks daily
