great experience, loved it.
this was my second time staying at this Sheraton hotel, I select it because its location in the San Juan metro area where everything was near by! Upon arriving I was floored to discover that the room was not what I requested and I did not like it at all, a second room was shown to me with the same results, did not like it, however, the third time was a charm! I loved it pretty much as the Jr. suite I occupied during my 2/18 stay, great city view facing the San Juan bay as well. Quite frankly, it's this hotel the main attractiveness when I travel to Puerto Rico, I've stayed in countless of hotels but by far, this is my favorite! Look forward to travel back on 2/2019, my next vacation.
The view was absolutely amazing. This is an older hotel but the price was right. The staff was courteous, the rooms were clean and the restaurant had a nice menu selection. I would definitely stay here again.
The people at the Hotel were AMAZING! They were super nice. It was very clean and organized. I loved that everything can be walked to. We took an Uber to the beach but the employees there explained to us how we could also get there by public transportation. Try the Hibarito burger! It’s delicious. My partner and I really enjoyed it. We loved the local breakfast place La Mallorca. The car service that dropped us off and to the airport were really great too. Super punctual all around amazing experience. Everyone had suggestions of where to go and were so friendly! Thank you so much!

Straight to the point and the reason for this review... upon arrival at the hotel for check in we were given a room on the 7th floor that smelled very damp and the carpeting almost felt wet when we walked in. Mark who assisted us with our bags was awesome. He quickly went down to have our rooms changed and we were much more comfortable in a room on the 4th floor. Puerto Rico overall was a blast and we especially enjoyed Old San Juan and all the good food to offer.

There are so many great hotels in Puerto Rico! The Isla Verde area is trendy and lively. This close to all the action!

Old san Juan Casino is right in Oldsan Juan everything in Old San Juan is within walking distance Transportation to the area beaches is available

wow what a trick question, SO Many looked great, but puerto RIco has so many hotels in different parts, it all depends what you want to do socially, If you looking for nightlife, maybe condado, or Isla verde, but the saftey issue is different over there, If you looking for quiet town food, and history but have access to all the rest I would say Old San Juan. If you want beauty I said Ponce, or rincon, but ricon is for surfers, Ponce is beaches, lakes, greenery. queit, golf, but about and hour or so from San juan, Farjado is great and beautiful but again far, Aguadilla is pretty but again Far from the airport. OH by the way there are other airports but flights are not as frequent and only on some days, so choose wisely, whatever you do and whereever you stay have a great stay, I know price and activities usually decides for me the end.

We stayed at the Sherton Old San Juan. It was very close to everything. Senor Frog is about 50 steps from the front of the hotel, Ralph Lauren Polo store is next to that, CVS is next. The bus ($.50), and trolley (FREE) stops across the street from Senor Frog. The water is across the stree from Senor Frog and you can take the ferry ($.50) to the other side and go to the Bacardi Factory (the tour is free and they give you drinks to sample). The trolley takes you around the town and to all the sites (which runs about $2.00-5.00) Other people we meet that stayed at various hotels had to take cabs (money), or rent a car to get to the places we went to for little to no money. Casino is in the hotel, and various inexpensive resturants are around hotel...CVS sells everything, including ALCHOL!!!

I would recommend the Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel & Casino. The hotel is on the bay and across from where the cruise ships dock when they stop in San Juan. There is numerous shops and places to eat within walking distance. If you like to gamble a little there is a casino on the first floor. When the cruise ships dock for a few hours the area can become a little crowded, but that's part on the enjoyment of the location. If you want to go lay on the beach it's not that far away, but there is no beach available at the hotel.

Some resort's allow a one (1) night stay, however, it would depend on the particular resort and specific travel dates.
MariaCC
You may book a only one night at some of the resorts we carry. We suggest putting your travel dates in on the home page and searching your destination in order to find specific resorts that allow a one night stay.
MeganCC
Yes they can

This site is saying thats its a all inclusive resort does this include food?

The Sheraton does not offer an all inclusive package with meals. At this time the resorts in Puerto Rico do not include all inclusive with meals and drinks. Some resorts offer optional meal plans for purchase as an added amenity.
MeganCC
I cant actually say, I for once wanted to see, if there was a difference between all inclusive and me getting what I want when I wanted it. IF there is a all inclusive I would skip it for this hotel due to the proximity of all the resturants nearby, but thats MY opinion, I have always traveled to all inclusives. this was one of my first island trips that was not inclusive, I loved having a choice this time.
Liljazzyb
No, there are NO all-inclusive hotels in Puerto Rico :( We found ou the hard way.
LEGNA
This hotel does not include meals, at least not when I was there two weeks ago. The woman at the customer service desk asked whether the travel agent gave us food vouchers. So perhaps that is an option. But in the normal sense of the word (i.e., Atlantis is an all-inclusive) no this is not.
Nash
No, not to my knowledge.

No, the Sheraton does not offer a complimentary breakfast.

They do not include any meals
HankR
I think it depends on your travel plan. I was on the European one which meant no meals were included. There is a restaurant in the hotel that serves breakfast a la carte and buffet but it's an additional cost to the hotel room. This isn't a typical Sheraton stay IMO. This is a Caribbean destination within a few steps of major cruise ship docks and has a casino and in house restaurants. I don't think any hotel in the area offers included breakfast.
love2Bcurious
I was not offered breakfast when I checked in and the ammenities listed in the room did not include breakfast. They did provide coffee and tea in the room.
Meche62
No it does not buy they have an all you can eat buffet there that's pretty good but I would try a place called Manolin in Old San Juan. Great atmosphere and great food and the best prices.

We stayed at Old San Juan Sheraton for 5 days (July 1-5, 2013) and the hotel did not provide a complimentary continental breakfast.

The closest walking distance beach is 15 mins way. Its more of a private walking beach. Other beaches you would have to drive for 15-20 mins.

I have not found parking information for the Old San Juan Sheraton in Puerto Rico. We have a week-long stay with them in January 2016. We know too well the parking problems in crowded San Juan. Is there parking on site and what is the potential cost for their guest to park?
