Don’t waste your money

Dreams was a beautiful place. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked great in the rooms. But that’s the end of the positive. We received no greeting when we arrived and had to stand in a long line for check in. Only 2 desks. We arrived at 10am. Our room wasn’t ready. They said check in isn’t until 3. So they told us to hang out in the lobby. Said since we’re not checked in the only thing we could do was go to a small cafe stand to eat but we’d have to pay for it. They said sometimes people will check out early to check back with them around 12. We did, no room. Said to come back at 2. We did, no room but one of our groups room was ready so we went to sit in their room. They had a beautiful room with an amazing view so we were excited. At 3 we finally got a room. It was as far away from our group as possible. We requested 2 beds and it only had one . Our view was the net for the driving range. So we asked for a different room closer to our party. He brought me around the desk to show me that we never requested 2 beds so it was our fault. After waiting another 20 minutes they said they had another room but it wasn’t ready yet. Forget it. We took the far away room. There is no music at the pool. No cocktail service at the pool or the beach. The food was terrible. We lived on bread and butter. The only good meal we had was at Bordeuax. The fillet was very good. The entertainment was a few employees dancing in the buffet outside. There was around 20 of us there to see it. There were crab holes all over the beach. Hundreds of them that looked like roaches when they all came out. The times for the activities were wrong every day. We talked to several other guests there and they all said the same thing. Even in the preferred side, no service no music. The last day we did the archery (that was for kids but it was fun girl teaching was very nice) we were bitten up very bad from the fleas on t he grass. We’ve been home a week and are still getting bitten. Those fleas burrow into your skin and lay eggs so we’ve now brought them home. The excursions were very good though. The highlight of our trip. We did the rainforest and the city tour. Bring an umbrella for the sun. It’s sad because now I’ll never stay at another Dreams again. We waited a long tome even for water at the restaurant. When we got up to get it ourselves they took the pitcher from me and said ok, but never came back to do it. Just Sergio service. So disappointing . I saved for a year to celebrate my 50 th birthday and it wasn’t good. Thank Hod the people I was with were amazing and we made it fun. So food lick to anyone who goes there.

You can do better

I thought the resort was nice and clean, friendly staff with clean rooms. The major disappointment for my wife and myself was the quality most of all the variety of food. We vacation throughout the world always all inclusive and the food was 100% boring in terms of taste and quality and more important the daily variety, it seem to be a repeat daily. Fix this problem

Quiet Resort with great access to everything

The resort was perfect for what we wanted to do . We did a partial transit through the canal, took a jungle hike and visited the old Panama. The resort is small but very pretty. Although it is an older resort and not quite up to Dreams standards, the staff made up for any shortfalls. The only thing that it needs is more options for alacarte dining . I suggest a steak house or an Asian restaurant. The beach is good to walk on when the tide is out but I didn’t go swimming , I am not much of a swimmer. The water wasn’t crystal clear blue because it is the Pacific not the Caribbean. If you are looking for a resort with a lot of activities, this is not for you. There were plenty of chairs and towels available around the pools and the bar service was excellent. The room was cleaned daily and we got fresh towels twice a day. The room was turned down in the evening and candy kisses were placed on the pillow. We were welcomed with a bottle of champagne and some fruit ,candy, chips and 3 small bottles of alcohol. The mini bar was stocked daily. Every staff member was courteous and responded with “my pleasure “ when thanked. Although I probably will not be coming back to Panama anytime soon, I would recommend this resort.

You accept, then settle back to resume your Epic Chill.
