Almost good.

This is our last night at the iberostar parasio beach resort, I would say that the overall experience has been good but with definite flaws. Upon check in of the resort we arrived a few hours before the scheduled check in, no problem. We were told to come back at 3 and in the mean time enjoy the amenities. Sounds good, however we were given no information about the property. We waited a few minutes then enjoyed our lunch with no problem. We then went back to the front desk, checked in and were given our room keys. At that point we asked for a resort map. It was explained to us that nothing of that nature was provided to us and every thing was available via an App. OK. We got our room keys and headed to the room where we changed for the pool. At that point we asked the towel hut for 2 towels. It was then explained to us we needed to head to the concierge by our building to get towel cards. Upon seeing the next available by a building, we were directed to a concierge by the pool. Finally, that person directed us back to the main lobby by check to receive our towel cards. Granted this is not a small resort and clocked in walking about 8 miles a day walking. Despite a lot of walking we happily went to the concierge on the 3rd day to make dinner reservations. We were told there was not anything suitable available, which we were fine with, but the woman was gracious enough to provide us with a much-needed resort map and a wonderful explanation of the complex/amenities. All the staff was amazing and resort was great until the last night when we visited the Italian restaurant. Upon arriving we were seated without issue. I ordered the meat lovers pizza and the fiancé ordered the margherita pizza. This ordered was repeated back to us and confirmed by our gracious waiter. Upon the order arriving and being served by a different staff member there was one pepperoni pizza and one meat lover’s pizza. I immediately alerted them that this was incorrect and explained the peperino should be a margherita. They apologized and quickly attempted to the fix the order. Soon there was a well-done margherita pizza on the table. Upon taking a bite of the margherita the fiancée reported that there was peperoni under the toppings. Upon observing the pizza it was obvious the kitchen attempted to scrape the pepperoni off (leaving remains) and replacing it with vegetarian toppings. Pepperoni imprints were observed still to be in the cheese. This may not have been a huge deal if this did not impede 14 years of a strict vegetarian diet. The waiter was more than apologetic but at that point the damage was already done. Iberostar you have a great resort and majority of your staff is wonderful but one shifty act can ruin that. I have been to a number of wonderful all-inclusive resorts (Grand Palladium- Mexico/Jamaica, Grand Bahia- Jamaica). Iberostar you have some work to do.

overall OK

The overall stay at the hotel was OK. We have been to other Iberostar in DR and evrything was awesome this was just ok. From the wait staff to the food, it was just missing that little extra something. The servers didn't really engage with the tourist and the food at the buffet was the same with only Friday night having seafood. We wouldn't stay at this Iberostar again but if you want a cheap vacation try this hotel but don't expect too much.

Best Vaca/Awesome Resort!

This is a great resort chain and would definitely recommend it! Our trip was in April from Sunday 7th through Thursday 11th. It was a great few days to get away from the busy/touristy city of Orlando,Fl. The weather was beautiful, the food was good. Lunch buffets need an upgraded options, breakfast buffets were good/yummy options. As for dinner, highly recommend the Japanese restaurant, Colonial, Mexican. Don’t dine at the Italian or the Mediterranean (unfortunately). The beach was beautiful, make sure you get there early to save a spot(bring extra beach towels to do so). The pool was fun and the swim up bar was great(again make sure to save a spot before going to breakfast). Room service was a great perk, the cleanliness was perfect, great housekeeping service. Overall, it was an amazing trip. Don’t forget to tip the service ppl, dinning and room. They’ll hook you up if you do! Have Fun and Be Safe!!!
