Still awesome

Stayed at Hotel Xcaret June 11-15 with husband and three children ages 11, 17, and 20. We had a great time despite the rain. The food was ok and the beach was pretty good. The property was amazing, just wish that there was a tour at some point to know what all was available. We did see some couples/families riding a golf cart getting tours but wasn’t sure how they set that up. The rooms were nice however we had two rooms and despite travel pans several months in advance, we were set up in the adult section and the kids were set up in another building. We compromised although we had paid for two ocean view rooms and got one regular ocean view and a garden view for the kids since the resort was full. We were given the option to come and check back during our stay see if there were other rooms available That was a little disappointing but we didn’t want to let on because we wanted the kids to have fun and the rooms and room service was wonderful. The food at the resort was good, not great although I don’t think that this takes from the resort. The food at Xel-ha was amazing as usual. We did visit Xel-ha, Xplor Fuego, and Xenotes which all were amazing. The only thing that I would change is the full day a Xel-ha. I would rather have had the option to return to the hotel instead of having to be there all day. The photo package was offered but we wanted to get this through the hotel so that we wouldn’t get charged at every park. Our son lost his phone on the travel bus and the driver, Daniel, found and remembered us at the pickup time and gave it to us by the grace of God! Speaking of which, everything was amazing regarding the service. We did run into 2 rude servers, which was still amazing considering the time that we were there and the many servers that we had. The beach was nice and clear. Now the photo package was the issue. We had two rooms so we had pictures spread out over those two rooms, but didn’t know that we should have limited the bracelets to one since you get charged more for two rooms even though there is only one family. The pictures were the best that the Xenotes and the hotel pictures were pretty good to but the upload was a big issue. I did lose my receipt and so we had to call to get the code and the hotel was wonderful in getting the code to us but we had multiple calls/emails back and forth trying to get ALL the pictures since even at the resort, we could only see some of them. I was a bit of a mess but I will say that Johanna N. was outstanding. She emailed from the beginning to the end and even through the photo package drama. Overall a great trip and would definitely go again.

So worth it !!!!!!

With a family of 8 on this trip, 2 rooms were needed. Ages ranging from 7 to 23. There is something for everyone. The fact that all the parks are included was a no brainer for me. Quite frankly I don't know how they are going to keep that perk for long as well as the shuttle to and from the airport. There is so much to do that 5 days 6 nights was not enough to get through half of what this Hotel has to offer. Drinks flowed well, and the staff as always in Mexico, are very nice and accommodating. The Cueva restaurant was closed do to some repairs, so the Buffet and the Chinese restaurant were the only options that were included in the all inclusive. You can however make reservations at Ha Restaurant. Adults only. We will definitely be back here, before the rest of the world finds out about this place , and all it has to offer for adults and children.
