Awesome experience

This was the best resort I have ever stayed at, and having the xplor parks already included was really cool. Best food I’ve had in Mexico, it wasn’t overly crowded. We only stayed for 5 days and had the time to visit 3 parks and actually chose to stay at the resort our last full day due to my wife being sore from climbing so many stairs from the zip lining. I will stay at least a full week. My only complaint was the bars at the resort played nothing but Spanish music. I have a hard time really cutting loose without good music. My wife is not much of a drinker so this didn’t bother us very much. The beach was really pretty but it pretty rocky as well.

I Went to Heaven, but was not Dead at Hotel Xcaret

We just returned from a wonderful week at Hotel Xcaret and loved everything about our stay. The staff was friendly and happy and genuinely seemed to like their work and this was the case in ALL of the restaurants, the spa and public spaces. The resort itself was gorgeous, there were many choices of pools; there was the large central pool near the ocean if you felt like being social and many smaller quiet pool areas if you wanted to read and relax and every pool and protected water area had a bar very close by. There were carts with clean towels that were always accessible and in the same carts you could deposit your used towel in trade and it was all so easy . The resort grounds were natural, beautiful and meticulously kept and the design and lighting of the space at night is spectacularly beautiful so we were never sad when the sun went down. The restaurants and food were truly the best we have ever had at a resort, the steak was masterfully cooked and the sauces were delectable, the buffets offered such a wonderful variety of chilled ceviches and wonderful hot dishes that were always fresh and tasty. The Cave restaurant was so cool to sit in and experience and the food was really fabulous - I had a hard time not gushing out compliments to the wonderful staff every time we sat down for a meal about everything that we had to eat. In addition to the wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner options there were coffee carts in the morning with piping hot coffee and pastries and in the afternoon there was fresh cut fruit and veggies to snack on in carts and later in the afternoon tamales, tacos and Esquites(corn in a cup with mayo, lime and spices) would be served from a cart by the pool by the most lovely woman every afternoon. There were many activities inside the resort like kayaking, paddle boarding, tennis, games and a beyond compare spa built into the earth like it was created by a higher power and not human hands. Then there is the access to Xcaret Park and Xenses(wow is all that I can say to sum that experience up as my review is on the brink of War and Peace). We purchased the snorkeling tour at Xcaret Park and we were not disappointed, our guides were lively, informative and fun and they all clearly had so much respect for the environment and the sea and sky life they were so happily introducing us all to. Our boat ride included a pelican with a lot of personality who figured out if he rode out on the boat with us, he would get a few fish that were leftover from the guides filling their bottles for the sting rays. Did I say sting rays?? We had the privilege of meeting two big beautiful sting rays who seemed to know our guide very well and a large turtle who stayed with us for most of the 40 minute tour around the reef. All in all this was the most fun that I have ever had in Mexico, I am not a big fan of amusement parks, but these parks were so tastefully planned and the people who work in them are so happy and passionate about what they do that it makes you feel like you want to come back again and again. Lastly, I never sleep well when I travel as the beds are never quite right, but the beds at Hotel Xcaret are like a clean white linen dream. The sheets and duvet covers are all white cotton that are crisp and clean yet soft, the pillows are perfectly medium firm and the mattress is supportive yet so very comfy, bottom line after all the fun, sun and good food I also slept like a baby and looked forward to the knock at our door every night around 9pm when a lovely little hand woven basket was delivered to us with handmade traditional Mexican candies inside. It just could not get any better than this.
