Overall A Good Time

We were happy with this vacation overall. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was great and the All Inclusive made things easy and worry free. Having said this, we had 17 people in our group spread over 7 rooms. Two of our rooms had a strong musty/moldy smell to the air conditioning. ALL 5 of us, in the two rooms, came down with respiratory infections. My son missed a full day of our 6 day trip with a severe headache. We can only assume that, since none of the others were ever affected, that it had something to do with the rooms. Add to that.. our flights down were delayed and we weren't able to get to the resort until 1 1/2 days after our original estimated arrival. I spent about 7 hours on hold between United and Cheap Caribbean trying to arrange alternate flights. Plus we missed 1 1/2 days of the All Inclusive we paid for. Reached out to both hotel and CheapCaribbean to see if they would alter our days to take advantage of our money spent and got a blunt NO from both. Felt that there should have been at least a little effort to try to help us out. Not sure if we will be back.

Our families opinions. 11 of us went.

Pools are awesome! Check in was a breeze! Rooms are what to expect nothing crazy nothing nice! Food options are horrible though. Same breakfast daily and really bland. End up eating an omelette everyday. Which I didn’t mind but it got old. You sigh for literally everything a coffee, a can of soda it’s kind of excessive how many receipts we signed. ( way more then any other place we have been and that’s multiple). Service from Pedro was awesome at taco bar and the carbon grill! Poolside service is timely gotta chase em down. Smoking area is tiny and your not aloud to on balcony ( was halfway down with a smoke and security was in my room) I’m a grown man with my family lol. Pretty excessive I though. They try to sale you a timeshare as soon as you walk from check in desk to elevator. It was funny to see the scheme in action honestly. Most place wait a day or so to leave a note. The shows are cool! the food is average at the shows we went to three. Overall we wouldn’t go back to this hotel but would possibly try another of the villa group hotels!

Great stay

I stayed at Villa Del Palmar during spring break with my daughter and a friend We all had a great time. The location of the hotel is fabulous......it is situated on a beautiful beach with a spectacular view of the bay and close to downtown. We did the all inclusive package and thought the food was very good...the service was great too!!! We enjoyed or room with a view of the ocean.....it was comfortable and very clean. We did have a problem finding chairs with an umbrella....they were taken very early in the mornings. Overall had a great stay.

All-inclusive is dubious

We chose the all-inclusive package and were a bit disappointed. The view of Land's End rock formation from the resort is amazing. The staff were all very kind and the rooms were nice and always well-cleaned when we got back after a day out. My problem with the resort is if you say "all-inclusive" mean it! Only well liquor, some cheap wine and a handful of beer choices were free. If you wanted say a Grey Goose vodka you were charged but got a whopping 35% discount which still made the drinks expensive. They also did that with some food items. My recommendation is don't do the all-inclusive. We went to Sam's club and loaded up on high-end liquor, beer, champagne, water, snacks, etc. and that is the way to do it!

What's to Love

This resort is perfect for families. Kids in Paradise keeps children happy while their parents enjoy time alone for scuba diving, sport fishing and spa time.

The new farm-to-table restaurant, Tomatillos, is absolutely amazing!

What We'd Change

Since Villa del Palmar All Inclusive Beach Resort and Spa is so family-friendly, the noise at the pools can be overwhelming. For serenity, head to the Desert Spa.

Why You Should Go

The resort is a great base for families who love the fine sand of Medano Beach. But there's also golfing, whale-watching and a simply fabulous spa.

Hotel Description

Villa del Palmar All-Inclusive Beach Resort & Spa Cabo San Lucas: Enjoy All-Inclusive Family Fun

Is Los Cabos calling your name? Then head to Villa del Palmar All Inclusive Beach Resort & Spa Cabo San Lucas. This exciting hotel is the most family-friendly resort in Mexico, according to Travel Age West magazine. Professionally certified staff members keep your children smiling with pinata making, stone painting and other exhilarating activities. With amazing waterfalls, a gorgeous saltwater aquarium and seashell chandeliers in the nine-story atrium lobby, the hotel inspires wonder in kids of all ages. But that's not all. This escape haven is within walking distance of the numerous bars, shops and restaurants of Cabo San Lucas.

While your kids squeal down the whale slide, kick back and enjoy the gorgeous pool area with its new flagstone walkways and decks. Take a dip in the ocean to get a feel for the Pacific from this corner of Mexico. The Los Cabos area is known for rip tides and dangerous beaches, but the hotel sits along sparkling-white Medano Beach, widely considered the safest swimming beach in Cabo San Lucas. Attendants on the beach bring mai tais or rum punches whenever you're ready.

When it's time to leave the beach, Bella California is where to go! Gorgonzola cheese, red wine sauce and rosemary enrich your filet of beef. And don't worry about the kids; they'll be eager to dig into their wood-fired pizzas. If you want to enjoy a scrumptious sampling of dishes, enjoy the gourmet buffet and nightly entertainment at Las Tortugas.

Save time for an indulgence or two at the 10,000-sq-ft Desert Spa. This chic spa has a variety of services that we love, but the Noche Romantica is a must with your sweetie: massages, aromatherapy and candles followed by sparkling wine and strawberries! Don't just lounge around the resort. Get your heart racing with tennis, basketball or beach volleyball. Go for an adrenaline rush with water skiing or Jet skiing. For a change of pace, nurture your culinary talents learning to prepare salsa or guacamole. Or take a nap with the kids; you may never want to leave your Junior Suite with its balcony overlooking the ocean.

This hotel is All-Inclusive.

  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner
