Meliá Cozumel Golf

I just got back from a week at Meliá Cozumel Golf. It was a nice affordable vacation. I thought the room was fine, but the air conditioner is extremely noisy. I had to turn it off to sleep and open the balcony doors. The food at the buffets was just average, but the dinners that you had to make revervations for were very good. The beach was nice. The workers raked up the seaweed every morning. The pool was also very nice. I like to snorkel, so I walked down to the next resort towards town, and the water was a bit clearer. The service at the hotel was very good.

We booked the premium room, got put on the 9th floor, got a birthday banner on the the door of the person having a birthday, got chocolate strawberries in all three rooms, got fresh fruit on the second day, hotel staff was awesome from beginning to end, the staff is always wanting to know if they can help or if you need anything. They have a kids area pool where all the scheduled activities are listed, like stretching and yoga, archery, paint ball, basket ball, battling cages, tennis court and beach volleyball, kids pool is out of the way from the adult pool and if you didn`t go to that side you wouldn't even know they had two pool areas. Adult pool has a swim up room and an awesome bartender Willy he was a multitasking bartender that had to work both the pool and beach and was amazing. The room were clean and made up everyday. The beach is long and has powder like sand the water is not as clear as the resort next door but but is not bad just not clear and blue, Cozumeleno hotel next door has real clear water due to a concrete pier keeps the waves from bringing in things that could murk up the water. But for a less expensive type beach vacation it works for a good time and get away, the golf is included as well if you upgrade if that is something you are interested in as well. Hector our Cheap Caribbean on site rep helped us a rental car, pirate ship dinner cruise and a snorkel trip, the only issues we had was the snorkel trip was not a catamaran and not much of a party atmosphere but the snorkeling was good once we got in the water and they had to pick up three other places after they picked us up at the marina which takes a lot of you time that you could be snorkeling but it was a less expensive snorkel trip.

Great Hotel! Fun Perfect for families or couples

I went away my 2 teen children. 18 and 17. We had a great time. Always plenty of food to get. Not always what we expected, but good none the less. The water sports gear was available for rent for free for a limited time.but only once a day. A draw back for snorkeling for sure. Loved the free soda and water in the mini fridge. Had a great room on the 14th floor. Staff are exttemely nice. No free wifi in the rooms.only in lobby. If a Melia reward member than you get a free 24 hour wifu pass. But if cell phone provider works with your own data than that is not aeven an issue. The dive shop on the beach were awesome. Went on an amazing diving tour. Loved Xime and Engin They were the best! Helped us and answered all wuestions and concerns with a smile and true desire to make sure your trips with them are fun and safe. Would totally return.

Went here for a long weekend with my best friends from college. The trip was a blast. The food here was pretty solid, I think we all agreed the Mexican restaurant for dinner was our favorite, but they have Italian and international dinner spots as well. The beach was great, and a must on our list, since I know not all resorts in Cozumel have sandy beaches. We rented jet skis one day, and two of us got massages on the beach. The adult pool with the swim up bar is where we spent a large chunk of our time while we were there, and the staff were super helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.

What's to Love

Snorkeling is aahh-mazing - the coral reef here is world-renowned & more than epic.

A world-class golf course is just across the street, but there's mini golf if you wanna take it down a notch.

A great family vacay spot that offers the salvation of an adults-only pool when you need it.

The ridiculously relaxing massages you can get in the spa, by the pool or by the ocean.

The complimentary (read: FREE) scuba lesson that will ready you, or not, for the deep blue.

Hopping on a scooter or moped and checking out Mother Nature's awesomeness around you.

The shows in the evening are pretty darn amusing. The entertainment team has got skillz.

What We'd Change

This Melia hotel in Cozumel is a tad on the small side, but it offers a golf course across the street and scuba and snorkeling expeditions to the world's second largest coral reef.

Why You Should Go

The airport is just five minutes from the airport. Breathe and you'll be on the beach.

Buy your transfers (from us) to and from the airport. It'll be one less thing to worry about.

There are five snazzy, jazzy bars and lounges where you chill or get wild or toggle between the two.

You've got four nosheries with scrumptious cuisine and settings.

Dive into aqua aerobics for the exercise thing, or water polo for the competition thing.

In addition to snorkeling, there's parasailing, motor boating, or Hobie catting (is that a word?).

You can play shuffleboard and tennis, but if you want a smaller court, there's always ping pong.

There's volleyball to enjoy, but if you want near zero physical movement, there's Spanish lessons.

Hotel Description

Melia Cozumel Golf - All-Inclusive Golf, Grub & Beach Greatness

In addition to being All About Golf (which we love), this lovely escape-haven was seemingly designed for all you fair-skinned beach goers because there's nearly a palapa around every palm. A fab place for families, there's a super fun kids' club (Kid's Co), but also, an adults-only pool for those times when separating from your little darlings would be best for everyone. Here's a ginormous plus: the world's second largest coral reef is close by and where you can descend into the deep blue for unmatched electrically colorful fish and other sea life. Finally, the food, drinks, scenery and spa are more than delicious. Was that a "yes, please," we heard? Thought so.

At Melia, the memories begin when you arrive.

The grubberies at this beachy spot rock. There's a cafe with international gourmet dining that's built over a freshwater pond that promises live piano music, a sizzling steakhouse, a snack bar that's situated under a palapa in front of the beach and a crazy delish buffet where you can even dine al fresco. Beach appetit.

There are palapas and palms waiting to comfort your work-weary soul on soft, sandy Santa Pilar that's hugged by azure waves. When you've finished vegging here, hop on over to one of the two shimmering pools (each with sundecks), where you can dive into games and/or the adult beverage of your choice. Peace out, sun worshippers.
