The pyramid

This resort had A LOT to offer for food, activities, drinks, and beaches. The black band is the best option for the best stay. The only complaint I had was that our rooms water broke within an hour of being there. We had the best room on the first floor with a walk out patio. We ended up having to move rooms to the fifth floor which was so so. The bath tub didn’t drain, and the toilet barely flushed. Plus there is always a smell of sewage that radiates in the room from time to time. Otherwise this resort had a lot of cool things to offer with great customer service.

felt like i got what i paid for

had a nice view from our room of the ocean. room quality was poor.we were not expecting a top quality room so did not complain . patio doors are very poor shape and need attention. my wife could not even open them. on the good side side food choices and quality was great. The alcohol choices were cheap liqueur and very watered down. even with the black bracelet you do not get name brand liqueur . . bartenders were great but lines were long to get a drink at pools. Maid service was not very good being a couple days they did not even clean our room. the patio was never touched ,probably due to taking a strong person to open door.

Disappointed

Our room was supposed to have a lagoon view, it was a view of the roof and satellite dishes for the resort. There was no lagoon view. The bathroom was alright, the tub drain was rusted and needed replacement. The scatter rugs in the room were filthy. There was mold and mildrew in the hallway from an apparent leak. There are different levels of service based on your wristband. The breakfast buffet for the black bracelet was excellent. The restaurants requiring reservations; Black Hole and Benazuza were very unique dining experiences and would recommend. There really isnt anywhere to eat in the late afternoon and until dinner starts at 6:00. As for the beach, Cancun's water was too rough to go in. So, if you enjoy the beach and water this is not the place.

Good value

The place was very very lovely! Beautifully manicured and landscaped. I had an amazing massage at the spa, I highly recommend it. My only negatives would be that customer service at various areas can be improved greatly. Now, the people were very nice by nature and once we started speaking to them, they were very accommodating. But it doesn’t seem that it’s part of their training. Very nice restaurants but they close by 10pm. the drinks were horrendous, the ones at the restaurants as well as by the poolside. Disappointed! Luckily we found on our last day, that there’s a lounge at the lobby called Fontainebleau, and has the only real bartenders in the whole place! Roberto and Pedro, made the best martinis, mijitos, and margaritas! If you go there, hit the Fontainebleau lounge first, get your drinks on, tip them nicely, and they’ll take good care of you! Very nice, friendly and knowledgeable guys. Again, overall, nice experience.

Hotel Description

The Pyramid at Grand Cancun: All-Inclusive Vegas on the Beach

Self-identified as the "Grandmaster of Fun," you can feel the buzz when you step into the lobby of this luxurious, beachy resort. Along with the largest beachfront pool in Cancun, where you can chillax on a private beach club with Bali beds and food/drink service, you've also got endless entertainment, along with premium amenities and services. You'll revel in live concerts, music festivals & shows and themed parties, some of which turn up unexpectedly - dancers seemingly appear out of nowhere and cut a rug in the lobby or comedy skits materialize by the pool. At night, the sizzle continues with a burlesque cabaret show in the Kinky nightclub, along with the brand new multi-level Red Casino at Grand Cancun that's open 24/7. The rooms have an ocean or lagoon view so you know you'll be gazing at some sweet blue hues. Nosh at 17 epic international restaurants, which includes several of the top-ranked restaurants in all of Cancun. Bonus: Pyramid guests receive one free gourmet dinner at Benazuza. Throw down at 20 rockin' bars and then wind down at the spa with massages, facials and body wraps. Truth is, there's amazement around every palm.
