Go Elsewhere For a Better Deal

Honestly everything that could go wrong did. Our AC was broken the entire hotel felt like a sauna. The staff was EXTREMELY rude and sarcastic for no reason. Phones did not work whatsoever so you couldn’t even order room service. The beach and pool closed at 7....not even high rises do that. Food was okay. Be wary of the towel guys trying to rip you off and sell you an excursion. Honestly I would never return to this hotel for the best hotel in Cancun it was one of the worst experiences I had.

Best Service in the world!

I love this place, this was my second time here and I’ll go back and stay at this resort every-time. Felix at the front desk gave us one of the best rooms on the resort when he learned of our Anniversary, sent us champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Armando the waiter who worked in the Japanese restaurant gave us his full attention and talked with us and made us feel at home on a couple of occasions while on the resort in the restaurant and while seeing us around. The spa is amazing and the facials were amazing! Food was excellent and full of flavor, French, Mexican, Japanese , American, Steak and Seafood restaurants. I can’t rave enough about this place, worth every penny.

Wouldn’t recommend this Riu

I’ve stayed at another Riu in Cancun and loved my experience so much that I decided to travel back to Cancun and stay at the adults only Riu. Unfortunately, the experience was not the same. The staff didn’t make it a personalized experience like the other Riu. Instead there were a bunch of rules. You can’t walk around wet anywhere inside, you have to wear clothes to order anything outside of the pool/beach area, the pool bar closes at 6 pm and the latest pool is open until 7. The food was not doable- we ended up eating out or missing meals. I did voice my concerns to the hotel staff they offered a better room at a cost. After more thought they moved us to another room with a view of the beach/nearby street in the back of the building. The air conditioner and shower in the new room didn’t work. The whole room and our belongings were drenched in water. We had to use up all the towels in the room to avoid slipping. We did voice our complaints again and maintenance was up in the room fixing immediately. However, Once the shower was fixed I was never able to make the shower temperature mild. It was always really hot. Once the air conditioner was fixed we were still unable to open the balcony without it getting wet in the room. In both our rooms we had two full beds pushed together to make the bed seem bigger however it was uncomfortable since you’d keep falling in the middle hole.

What's to Love

Newly renovated in 2016, all-inclusive everything and no reservations needed at any of the restaurants.

You're a seashell's throw away from the Cancun Hotel Zone's awesome - shops, eats and clubs.

The massages at the Renova Spa. They squeeze every ounce of stress out of you.

The free scuba lesson in the pool. Dive in. It'll be a blast.

The Jacuzzi in one of the pools and the swim-up bar. Plenty of ways you can make a splash.

The resort feels like a huge Spanish castle, and this is perfect. Here, you're beach royalty.

At Los Arcos, you can get both Italian and Brazilian tapas. Delish.

What We'd Change

While the beach isn't large, there's still plenty of places to work on your tan and enjoy your own stretch of Cancun's finest beaches.

Why You Should Go

It's just 12.5 miles from the airport so get ready to get your vacay on. Soon.

You have access to Riu Caribe & Riu Cancun - kinda like you get three resorts in one.

Karaoke happens at night so rest your pipes and get ready to serenade your adoring fans.

Release your inner adventurer and go windsurfing, canoeing and snorkeling.

Mayan ruins are near - the pyramids of Kukulhan in Chechen Itza. Bring some sturdy shoes.

You can rent a scooter/moped and tour all the epic beachiness of Cancun that's around you.
