Return visit

Just returned from our second trip to this resort. We had an amazing time and loved every minute. We were invited to a special dinner for return guests. The resort manger had dinner with us and made it really special. The service is excellent in all aspects. We were made to feel like family. Will definitely go back and take friends!

Some Minor Issues

We had minor issues with the internet, there was none in the room though it stated that we would have it. According to other returning visitors that were there when we were, this was a recurring problem and they were told the same thing every time they went there. We were told that a fiber optic cable was cut and that it should be fixed within a few days, this never happened. Returning guests said that this is the standard excuse. We had no water for 1/2 a day, said was due to a broken water pipe. No phone in the room to call room service. Said they were switching out the phones. A woman in the next room was screaming "HELP, HELP" for over 20 minutes around 1 a.m. and yelling for someone to get out of her room and we had no phone to call for help! This would have been very important! We notified them by email and upon arrival and every day that is was out birthday's and anniversary and the people next door got a "happy birthday" banner but we got nothing. Would have been nice to be acknowledged! We were given the name of our "personal concierge" who we never laid eyes on, not once! Could not even tell you who she was. She never introduced herself to us. On a good note, the beach was better than excellent! Food was fantastic though only one restaurant and one buffet style restaurant. We could not get into the sit down restaurant. Pool was small but very clean and inviting. Room was always cleaned appropriately. The maid did keep opening up a window slat and letting all the air conditioning out and it took forever for the room to return to cool enough to sleep in. The grounds were immaculate and beautiful. Though the walk to the beach was across the street we never had an issues with it or had to wait to cross the road. There were no floats on the chairs so bring your own if you want one. Probably will not go back but other than a few minor issues we enjoyed our stay. We did speak to the general manager Sharon and she was very apologetic. Staff was so friendly and always had a nice word for everyone.

Birthday Trip

I absolutely LOVED this resort. It is now my favorite resort in Jamaica. It is unique in that the accomodations are not like any other resort I've EVER been to. If you are looking for a truly RELAXING vacation, this is the place. It's a smaller resort with themed nights for dining and nightly entertainment. The walk across the highway to the beach is miniscule and safety patrolmen assist the guests. The beach was worth the walk with shopping from local Jamaicans right there (no need to plan a separate shopping exursion). VIP arrival service (special promo) made this trip to Jamaica one of the BEST!
