Disappointed!!!

Customer service was terrible . Staff was not very accommodating and very rude. Some even demand tips. Housekeeping took tips but didn't clean room. Rooms were ok . We we're on the 7th floor and the elevators we're not working for half of our stay there. The food was terrible .not a lot to do on this resort no activities or entertainment past 9 pm. very disappointing from the very first day there .!!

wont book again at this resort

check in was awful we stood in line for about 1 hour when we got to our room the ac was broken we had to move to another room and carry our own luggage. we mainly ate in the buffet which was good the 2 restaurant options always had a 30min wait. the beach and resort is nice. pool was not maintained always dirty. no night life for adults we walked into the club they have on the resort and there was 2 people inside. the alcohol is my main reason for not going back here is awful! to the point that I went off the resort to the nearest liquor store to buy Liquor trust me its awful what the serve. waiting for service in the buffet was an issue we were always looking around for someone to serve us some coffee. I was there for 5 day and was never able to get a towel and when you asked for one they said about 1 hour. I spoke to many other guests and honestly just by walking around we always heard people complaining about the service and how they are so under staffed. okay place for kids but for adults looking to relax and enjoy themselves book at another resort ... TRUST ME!!

Worth the upgrade!

Just returned from Montego Bay after a great week weather wise and otherwise. The staff at Sunscape was awesome! After booking the trip through Cheap Caribbean, I had only one regret... To take the upgrade to the Cove and get an oceanfront view as well as access to some of the 'fancier' restaurants. When I got to the resort I asked the front desk if it was possible to upgrade to the Sun Club, which filled both concerns I just mentioned. Luckily I was able to do it which made my wife and I happy, as well as the couple we traveled with (our cousins). This also placed our rooms 2 doors apart and right on the beach (awesome)! After spending a few wonderful days (and nights) at the resort, we decided on seeing the Cove side and try the Jamaican Terrace and Da Mario restaurants (same manager). We were greeted by a delightful young man as our server (Odane) who was very attentive (he even remembered our preferred drink, the Jamaican mama (delicious). as well as offering honest suggestions for lunch/dinner. Needless to say, we requested him when he was on duty. We were able to enjoy the swim-up bar, glorious sunsets and nightly entertainment. Every night was something different and special, and the staff would encourage audience participation - fun for all. We met a lot of couples from the US and talked about some of the common stuff from back home. The buffets, dinners and lunches were all very well prepared, and the service was nothing short of top notch. We tried to tip generously, as most of the staff depends on tips as income, due to the poor standards in Jamaica. Again, I would heavily recommend the upgrade either up front, or at the hotel (if it's available). It was worth every penny!

Horrible Option

Hello. This hotel was by far the worse hotel I’ve ever had to stay at. The hotel in itself can use some more modern renovations. They can also use some friendly desk agents. The check in process was lengthy and when asked for a copy of the documents I was signing I was told I couldn’t have them because they are for internal use only by the agent. Whenever you asked questions they seemed to be aggravates. Calling the front desk and asking for asssitance was always a hassle. The sink in the bathroom was running and got water all on the bathroom floor. The only people that had good customer service were in the dining hall. There was a 24/7 little cafe that never had anything to offer. All other dining halls closed early. The beat part about the hotel was the beach and that was it. I personally wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody. The only upside to this hotel is that it’s kid friendly. I was also told that I couldn’t wear a certain dress because it wasn’t allowed in the Resturant. I had on a dress with a split. People are on vacation trying to enjoy nice weather and they’re grown why is there a dress code anyway. Bad bad bad bad choice. I wouldn’t ever go back there. The bellman also lost one of the people in the party luggage when it was time for us to go back to the states. When getting off our shuttle bus her bag was no where to be found when it was handed to the bellman right in front of the bus.
