My wife and I went to Iberostar Rose Hall Suite from May 5, 2019 through May 10th, 2019. Based on my stay, I would like to discuss the pros and cons of our visit. PROS Pool/Lobby Bar Servers The guys at the pool bar and lobby bar were great!!! Shout out to Jules at the Pool Bar and G-Man at the Lobby Bar. They worked very hard to make their service great. Grounds/Building Hallways The grounds are well kept and clean. The building hallways were always clean. Room We had the oceanview junior suite. Very nice room which was kept very clean. Cleaned late morning and an early evening turndown. With an oceanview junior suite, you have access to the wet areas of the spa. Food Across the board, I felt the food was above average. A great variety! The buffet was great. The steakhouse was fantastic. Enjoyed the Japanese Restaurant at the Rose Hall Beach Hotel. The only issue we had with food was that the Mediterranean restaurant was out of multiple entrees. One of the chefs came out to discuss with us and even went next door to get me another steak from the steakhouse. Exchange Privileges If you are staying at the Rose Hall Suites, you have access to all the amenities at the adjacent Rose Hall Beach Hotel (except the rooms). CONS Check-In I was surprised when we entered the lobby and very little direction was given where to go. We located the check-in counter where multiple clerks were working. There were no specific areas to wait so we just lined up behind someone at the counter and waited our turn. Room Service Room service is 24 hours and they state to anticipate a wait from 30-45 minutes following order. The first night I ordered, I stayed up for 2-1/2 hours waiting until I eventually gave up and went to bed. There were no clues to indicate that it was ever delivered. The second time I ordered, it arrived in 48 minutes. The third and final time I ordered; it was over one hour. Servers I am not a chauvinist, but many people in my party and I agree that a significant amount of the servers and pool attendants who were women had poor attitudes. At times it felt like they couldn’t be bothered. The women at the towel hut (to replace wet towels) couldn’t even look up from her smart phone for a second the provide service. She would say to throw the towel(s) on the pile and she would hand out new ones, all while looking at her phone. Internet Internet in the main building was acceptable. Internet went in and out most of the time I was there. There were a couple of days in which the room internet was down completely. Lazy River The lazy river was shallow and barely functioned. There was nothing ‘pushing’ you around. You basically had to push and walk around. Volleyball Pool There is a volleyball pool separate from the main pool. In the time that we were there, there was not one game or activity at that pool. Dance Club Went to the dance club. No one on dance floor and DJ kept playing same type of music (apparently music he likes) which kept people off floor. Drinks/Alcohol The only beer they had was Red Strip (Jamaican beer). They had Coke products (no ginger ale). Though the resort is all-inclusive, top shelf alcohol had an additional charge per glass/bottle.

Great stay except for wake up call

We had a great time except for the 7:00 am wake up call which we did not request. After we did not answer the phone security started knocking on the door. After we ignored that for about 5 minutes he took it upon himself to open our door and enter our room without our permission , this is absolutely wrong! It was too ironic that this was the same day one of the resort workers was trying to get us to go off site for breakfast to discuss time share rental type stuff as we had talked to him 2 days prior to this and said we were not interested. If it wasn’t for this we had an excellent time otherwise but this was something no one should experience in the privacy of your own room. I have no doubt this wake up call was related to them wanting us to go listen to their presentation and get us to buy into something.

Great vacation!

Overall Iberostar Rose Hall Suites was amazing! Entertainment for all ages, excellent service, food was good & pools/beaches well maintained! Room could use a little maintenance on shower, tub & missing patio door handle, but overall still loved our time here. Everyone was very accommodating & entertainment staff/bartenders always on it!

True Heaven

This was an incredible overall relaxing vacation!! Everything was perfect from the staff to the food and to the variety of activities offered. The staff was so genuine and hospitable!! The resort was PRISTINE and the food couldn't have been more varied. There were so many different types of excursions to choose from at reasonable prices! I couldn't even begin to think of one negative point of the resort!! I would definitely return and vacation there!!
