Meh but wonderful staff

good = very friendly, kind and helpful staff, room size and bed comfort, food quality bad = needs renovation; getting a little seedy. Elevators went out a few times, other shoddy maintenance. Lack of Caribbean vibe ... might as well have been anywhere. Music was contemporary; not island; other than a wonderful steel drum show (But without any Caribbean music!!!) and a heart-felt Jamaican history show, entertainment was poor and not very much of it. Beach was Ok but not wonderful. Staff tried their best to rake away the ever present seaweed.

Third year visit

This was my third trip to Iberstar in Montego Bay in the past 3 years, although my my first two years I stayed on the suite side. I wanted to try the beach side and will say overall I enjoyed it as much as the suites. The service was excellent, the pool clean, the property clean and well cared for, the food okay, and the entertainment opportunities and shows were great. Their entertainment staff have phenomenal energy and really work hard to make sure you enjoy your visit. While these things seem to be a trademark of Iberostar properties, I find that a vacation at a resort is what you make of it. Whether you want a quiet, relaxing time, a wild party, or a fun family vacation, Iberostar seems to equipped to meet your expectations. My only disappointment was that the beach side did not have a Jacuzzi, which is something I really enjoyed in the Spa at the suites. But the fitness area is the same for both sites and is very well equipped and accessible. The disco is also available for guests at the beach if you want to dance all night. Yes, I would return to the beach side in the future.

OUTSTANDING EVERYTHING WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!

All I can say is that this was the 5th time in Jamaica. Lets put the hype away about IS IT SAFE to go to Jamaica??? YES, YES, and YES!!!! The Jamaican's for the most part are in every way very hospitable and friendly folks that really do appreciate protecting their tourism and visitors. They are very thankful from what we saw at the Iberostar. No struggles, no heavy lifting, and no hassles. As for the resort, the hotel was amazing. settled and laid back and CLEAN!!!! The pool was amazing and the beaches were beautiful with the only exception that there is a light green turf building on the beaches about waist deep water that is a little annoying but still the beaches were great!!!! The Food was great, great and then great!!! The selections were many and the food was lively. The private restaurants were awesome, especially the Italian Cousine and Indian rest. The room was wonderful and clean and the bathroom in the room was spacious and one of the best I have experienced. The GYM at the Iberostar was the best I have seen at a resort in years. It ROCKED!!!! We will be back to this Iberostar resort as it offered everything and then some. We are picky people but we also know what we want and the Iberostar had it all!!!!!!!
