Perfectly fine for the value

Nothing was spectacular, but understanding "Beach" is the lowest tier of the 3 Iberostars on this property, the value of this trip was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Pool is nice and sunny. Room was clean. Gym is great. Sightly annoying that you have to make reservations for dinner (and they don't allow you to make a reservation every night) and are forced to do the buffet for the nights you don't have a reservation. Just don't let them dupe you into touring the "Suites" for a free massage. It's not a tour - it's like a timeshare presentation where they try to get you to buy in to being an Iberostar "member". This is why my Service grade is low. But other than this, service was fantastic. Check the prices of "Suites" for your dates, and the buy up is probably worth it.

Fun trip at great price

The Iberostar Rose Hall Beach was the perfect place for our 4 night mother and daughters trip to Jamaica. A quick ride from the airport. It's not a large resort, easy to navigate. Beach was very nice, lots of loungers and trees if you wanted shade. The food, whether it was in a buffet, beach snack stand or a la carte restaurants was delicious. Pool was large and warm with plenty of loungers. The only negatives I can come up with are that the a la cartes were hard to get reservations for, but I had heard that already so wasn't surprised by it. Second negative was that our view from our 2nd floor double room wasn't great, but did we complain, no. We simply brushed it off and enjoyed our time on this most beautiful island in the sun. This resort to me is basic, not a lot of amenities, but perfect for a fun, budget friendly, no worries vacation! I would return.

Iberostar you've ruined a good thing

We have enjoyed Jamaica every January for 10 years. Initially we hopped around the island, different resorts, different areas. About 5 years ago we found Iberostar beach and felt we were home. The food was amazing...staff was long time employees and really did a great job. Now, the food is the same as any other mobay resorts. Dried out, poor choices. No live carving stations, no seafood that was not sauced or curried. The choices were so poor this year we would fill up on breakfast and pick at lunch and dinner. The only outstanding dish was the basa fish...but how much fish can you eat in 7 days? Long time employees have left, we only saw 2 we remembered. Dining staff would remove your place setting when you returned to buffet. No oversight in dining room. 1st full day a large junket from Buffalo wasat resort. They were mean people and security was all around until they left resort. They threatened me w physical altercation over a beach chair. Disgusting behavior was allowed to continue until i left area. Management did nothing to contain this group angering alot of regular January guests. Heard over and over regular guests not returning and we are also not returning after 5 January's. Iberostar youve gotten greedy and ruined a great place.
