Excellent Service and Beautiful

This resort is great! I have only ever been to a Sandals so of course we were hoping for the same great service, and we got it! The service is impeccable! Our room was perfect and the hallway to the bed had a door so you did not hear anything out in the halls. The patio was huge with a swig and a beautiful view. I wish there were seats IN the pools, but if you got up early enough you could get a raft to float around on. Everything was really clean and the beach was beautiful. We ate at the French restaurant (yum), the Italian (get the Rigatoni not the Spaghetti), and the Japanese (yum). I will say, however, we preferred the buffet. There was a “steak bar” where they would cook whatever you want and a pasta bar. The buffet during lunch was super great too, especially the Asian themed one. There is a beach shack with snacks that was also really good! We will definitely go back to an Iberostar!

Overall good

My sister and I traveled for the first time to Jamaica. We had a wonderful time overall Please see below pros/cons: cons: 1. beach is a bit rocky, were advised better beaches in Negril..but overall very pretty 2. rooms and hotel is very pretty, but maintenance is not good. We had curtain come down in room, hooks that towels on come out of wall, and refrigerator in room not cooling. When we requested help on all, they were gracious to come fix, but were advised regarding refrigerator to just ask for ice. Overall, hotel is not maintained well 3. I do not recommend Luminous bay: very fun, but did not see very much light in the water..could have just been the night we went..but very fun anyway Pros: 1. staff at hotel are amazing. Everyone is extremely helpful, polite, and welcoming. The people in Jamaica overall made the vacation one of our best! 2. food was delicious... 3. Amstar travel was very helpful booking excursions and travel to and from airport. 4. Adrenaline Zipline was a ton of fun...Jamaican tour guides were amazing and so much fun. Must bring sneakers, no place to buy watershoes. Great vacation over all..i would go back in a heart beat, mainly because of the wonderful people we met.

A little piece of Heaven

WOW! OMG! Are the first words I must start with. This resort was 5 star witty from the moment we checked in. Sasha-Gay was the receptionist he ensured we had the perfect room! "Prim" as he called by his peers was the bellhop that took care of our bags while our room was cleaned. Wayland, Devron, and Kashon were our daily bartenders. They mase us feel like family. Everyday they would make me something nice and always knew what to serve my boyfriend. Our day and night butlers Keyshoun and Orneil made sure our turn down service was done and that something special was left nightly to help celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The pool activity and nightly entertainment was amazing. Initially, we thought we would do an excursion or two but there was absolutely NO NEED. We spent our entire time at the resort being treated like a King and Queen :-) The food was AMAZING. The only thing I hated was that we went during no lobster season! Every night we dined at a different restaurant. The servers were awesome! The only issue encountered was with the Japanese restaurant, but it was resolved. I CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN...THANKS IBEROSTAR GRAND

Poor Entertainment

The resort was not adequate in entertainment. There wasn't enough of a party atmosphere at the pools. The music that was played was not loud enough and staff was afraid to crank it up fearing she would get in trouble. I would recommend this resort for laid back travelers but not for true Jamaican atmosphere.
