Girls Trip

I along with two other girls stayed at the resort during the month of December this year, we stayed on the Lady Hamilton side. The resort is about a 45-55 min drive from MBJ airport which gives you a chance to see how beautiful the island is. The resort itself is hugggggggeeeeeeee and so pretty. When you arrive, the front the desk of course goes over the resort and the villas along with the activities and the restaurants. You get a welcome cocktail (if you’re legal), the bellhops take you in one of the carts to your villa and from there it’s time to enjoy your vacation. I was lucky enough to get a room to myself (yessss!!!!!!!), the room was very nice and it actually did look like the pictures posted online. I will say that my couch was a little sketchy (it had some odd stains), and my bed sheets had a couple hairs on them that were not mine. I am a little ocd with hotel rooms but for the most part the room and bathroom were clean. I was on the first floor so I was able to enjoy a nice walk out patio for my room also. The WiFi and phone connection is awful, I don't know if it was just the hotel location or if it’s Jamaica, but lots of dropped calls. The hotel staff was super friendly, and ladies get ready for the guys to stroke your ego with plenty of compliments. We did get a chance to take advantage of the Spa , which was very nice but my massage did leave me pretty sore (I get massages regularly so no this wasn’t a new experience for me) so that was a little disappointing. The pool is amazing along with the secluded beach by the jerk hut (make sure you go to the jerk hut best food ever). The resort has about 7 different restaurants, the food was okay I was hoping for more but the drinks were great. My only complaint would be the hibachi restaurant. Please, please, please do not go to the hibachi restaurant we literally were served cooked raw rice, if that makes any sense. Some of the people at our table didn't even get food. It was just all wrong. The food had no flavor and the rice was over cooked. I will say the salmon was good though, everything else we had, awful. I would for sure go back to this resort because it was a nice place to stay and a good location, I wish they had more restaurants open later or more places to get afternoon snacks (a lot of stuff closed at 4pm and didn't open back until 6 or 7pm). I would give this place 3 out of 5 stars. It’s both family friendly and good for a getaway with your friends or significant other.

Overall our trip was good! Started off with a few issues starting with check in. We arrived a little late do to some delays in the airport and really bad traffic to the resort. The room that they tried giving us was not what we paid for or requested. We refused to be downgraded and after a little bit of arguments and speaking to a few supervisors we were able to get the room we requested. This was our second trip to Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort so that should let you know that this is a great resort with top quality food and the rooms are above average. Unfortunately we got hit with some bad weather. Rained 6 out of our 7 days and we cloudy the whole time. That's not the resorts fault at all. I will give the credit cause they tried there best to keep everyone happy with the bad weather. One thing I wish I knew is that they were doing a lot of construction on the property. Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort is a wonderful resort and high recommend it. It's a large resort so if you don't like to walk this is not your place. Room service is great and make sure you take advantage of it.

Hotel fine cheap caribean not

The flight information was horrible. Cheap Caribbean set our seats up as economy...which means seats assigned at the gate. We had a party of 5 and were not seated together. this should have been made clear BEFORE purchase. Very unhappy.

Loved it here!

I thought our stay was wonderful. The staff was extremely nice, the buildings and grounds were very clean, and there was really a lot of different things you could do. I loved the selection of pools and beaches, so you could explore new areas every day. Some of the pools and outdoor areas could use some maintenance. The restaurants were hit or miss, some had great food, and some were just okay. The spa was very nice. We had an issue with the air conditioning in our room, which never really got fixed despite multiple calls and maintenance looking at it and telling us everything was fine. Highly recommend an ocean view room, you won't be disappointed!

What's to Love

It's all-inclusive, all-beautiful and all you'd ever want in a beach vacay. Swoon.

The 86,000 sq. ft. infinity pool with four Jacuzzis. You could hang here the entire time & be just fine.

Reservations are not required at any of the restaurants.

Modeled after Roman baths, the epic spa's stress-busting massages, Turkish baths & more.

Teeing off at the renowned Tryall Country Club that's just 10 minutes away. Schwing.

Swooning over the panoramic view of the pool and teal ocean from the Blue Lagoon restaurant.

What We'd Change

The resort is built in rugged country, so the man-made beaches are rocky. Even so, the area is beautiful, and with five pools, finding a place to swim is no problem.

Why You Should Go

It's about 40 minutes from the airport - blink and you'll have a chilly drink in your hand.

You can hop on catamarans, kayaks, pedal boats, snorkeling & windsurfing 100% FREE.

Volleyball, tennis & aerobics are available for calorie burning. (Dip into the ocean to cool off.)

Dunn's River Falls is not too far away and is a must-splash. Jump in.

Since these are villa-style, three-story buildings, there are no elevators. Better than a stair-climber.
