Great Couples Getaway

Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa certainly lives up to the name as you pull up to the grand lobby. It's open airy and you can see the ocean and pools. Check in was quick and we were offered welcome drinks and whisked off to our room. Unfortunately, the rooms didn't have the same pizazz as the main areas (worn furniture, uncomfortable bed etc) however it was clean, and since we didn't come to Jamaica to stay in the room it wasn't a big deal. We did have an issue with our plumbing on day 4 but a talk with the manager (Jason) who changed our rooms, upgraded us to an ocean view room and sent us a lovely fruit tray the next day, resolved the issue and did not mar our trip. On to the fun stuff. The pools were amazing, especially the main pool and the beaches were lovely - water calm and warm. Beach/pool chairs were always available despite the number of people around. The bars were great and the bar staff (especially around the main pool) kept our drinks coming! The grounds were well kept and we enjoyed every single restaurant. We had breakfast and lunch at the buffet spots (Negril and Mobay) but we dined at the fancier restaurants. There is definitely something for everyone at this resort. We booked tours through Amstar when we arrived and felt we got better deals once in Jamaica rather than pre-booking. We did river tubing, Dunns River Falls and a beach stop at Bamboo Beach club complete with lunch and dance performance. Then we did the ATV tours, snorkeling and a booze cruise, all of which were fun. We did space these trips so we could also explore and enjoy the resort. I strongly recommend a day pass at the spa to enjoy their offerings. I thoroughly enjoyed the Turkish bath and hot tubs. This was my third time on the island and certainly wont be the last. My only gripe with this resort is the rooms need to be updated to match the "grand" feel of the resort. I was told the Jamaica side will be upgraded towards the end of the year (hope that is the case) because we certainly look forward to returning.

Nice Stay, sorta disappointing

Rooms were a little dated & very warm AC wasn't the best even in December, hard to get maid service they said they were short staffed & low on towels. Food was ok, needed a little more different options daily seemed like the exact same food every single day/night.

Awesome Resort

The resort was very nice, my only complaint was the humidity in the weather which they have no control over. We were only there for 4 nights so we were not able to enjoy all of restaurants but overall the food is pretty good. They have a very nice water park for the kids. They have a very big gym too. Loved the extra large jacuzzi bathtubs in the rooms. Loved how they have a lot of little coves to enjoy and relax. Another complaint was that I expected to hear more reggae music with us being in the Bahamas. If that is what you want download your own reggae music and bring your boombox/BT speaker. LOL You would think it would be blasting everywhere. Played a lot of American music. I would diffinately return.

What's to Love

It's all-inclusive, all-incredible and all-irie - you're in the earth-heaven known as Jamaica.

The dreamy 86,000 sq. ft. infinity pool with in-water loungers & Jacuzzis - the largest in Jamaica.

Vegging at the Zentropia spa - Turkish baths, Finnish sauna, the refreshing footbath & oceans more.

If you're vegetarian, they've got taste bud-slaying food choices, and no reservations required at any of the restaurants.

The ever-helpful & friendly staff - they're the crowning jewel of this awesome place.

The delish Jamaican coffee in the cafe. Perfect any time.

What We'd Change

The city of Lucea is pretty quiet, but you will not need outside nightlife when the bars, theater and nightclub at the resort are happening!

Why You Should Go

It's just a half hour from airport, but in Jamaica you'll feel the vacay vibe the second you arrive.

There are sister privileges next door at the Lady Hamilton.

The Kids Club for ages 4-12 is where kiddos can meet "Raggs," one of 5 musical friendly dogs.

There's no smoking in all public covered areas on the island as per the Jamaican Health Minister.

For a fee, you can enjoy sailing, scuba diving, the fitness center and more.

On land, there's tennis, archery, mini-golf & for bigger greens, tee off at the Tryall Golf Course.
