Good value, Nice resort

The resort is about an hours drive away. The beach area in front of the resort was small and rocky but over by the kids pool area there was a great beach area with lots of seats and two bars which made getting drinks easy. The pool area was large and finding a seat was relatively easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was up graded by a very helpful front desk clerk named T-Kay when we told her it was our anniversary. Beware of the elevators as they smelled and sounded sketchy. One guest was stuck for about 10 minutes before we found her. The buffets were very good. One night was Gala night were they served Lobster, Shrimp, Sushi, Duck, rabbit and much more. The restaurants were always full except for 9:30 or later reservations there for we did not get a chance to eat at any of them. Maid service was good but seldom forgot to replace used items, room was clean but aged. Any problems we encountered were quickly fixed The night time entertainment was average with the staff performing shows. There was entertainment at the Lobby bar area which was very good. Over all I would say that we received what we expected for the price which was a very good deal.

Great winter getaway

The hotel, location. and staff were fantastic. From arrival on the island we were met by the team from Amstar who guided us directly to our transit to the resort. Special shout out to Troy( Amstar driver) who went well above and beyond to make all feel welcomed and relaxed after a long day of flights. Food, beach, resort and staff were fantastic. Entertainment could have been a bit more varied and at more locations. Quite repetitive and same venue for the week. The only change I will do next time is to fly direct and avoid Spirit Airlines. The schedule and layovers along with non service airline made the arrival and departure dates much more hectic than they should have been. Without doubt will return to the Grand Bahia, but on major direct airline to insure the entire 7 days are enjoyable.

Worst experience ever

This is not the resort that you are looking for. It is a luxury resort with poor services. You have to fight in that resort to get what you deserve. This is like a 2 star resort. The resort was empty, but they gave us the worst room that you ever imagine. After a lot of complaint they changed it next day and they ruined one day from our trip. THEIR ONLY EXCUSE WAS THAT WHY WE DIDN'T DEAL WITH THEM DIRECTLY AND WHY WE BOUGHT IT THROUGH CHEAP CARIBBEAN WEBSITE. All deficiencies was because of Cheap Caribbean. It wasn't just us, we went with 3 more families to this vacation and all of us had same experience. All families left a bad reviews for the resort and cheap caribbean. I never recommend either the resort or cheap caribbean

What's to Love

It's an all-inclusive beach bonanza for every member of your fam-bam.

The white, cabana-ish tents that hug the pool and provide shade while you chillax.

Being greeted by colorful, fresh bougainvillea on your massage table in the spa.

The two coolio, curvy pools that are a coconut's throw from the beach.

What We'd Change

The beach is a little pebbly, so make sure you bring your water shoes. The upside is that it makes for truly excellent snorkeling right off shore.

Why You Should Go

It's 75 minutes from Mobay airport. Don't fret. You'll be greeted with a welcome cocktail soon.

The beach is a bit pebbly, so bring your water shoes.

Before your flight home, hit Club Mobay at the airport for A/C, drinks and lots of spoiling.

Book your airport transfers with us before you arrive. You'll avoid a lot of headaches.

Hotel Description

Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica: All-Inclusive & All-Fam-tastic

When you enter the open-air lobby of this Victorian-style resort, you'll immediately feel the Jamaican breezes wash over you. Next, you'll encounter a sea of white, wicker chairs on the expansive porch (they're oh-so British), where you can sip a cocktail and soak in all the awesome of the lush grounds. Wander through the complex and you'll be wowed by the glistening pools and the cerulean waves of Runaway Bay. Grab a Red Stripe from the swim-up bar while your kids can descend into a splash frenzy at their own pool. Then you can all gather for some Jerk Chicken at the snack bar, where you can plot your next adventures: water sports, nightly shows, and more. When might we expect you?
