Average in almost every way
The biggest and best attraction of this resort is its beach. Even though it is filled with rocks in certain areas(bring water shoes) It is certainly beautiful. The room was small, but I never spend much time there anyway. There were some issues with the hot water on the first night, not sure if it just resolved itself or if that call to the front desk made a difference. Either way checked 20 mins later and it was fine! On a positive note, the view from the balcony was breathtaking, some tree trimming could have made it better, but still was one of the best experiences.
The food was ok, by the 3rd day we noticed the lack of choices of food. The resort could use some variety, but the staff did an excellent job of working with what they had. The specialty restaurant was a joke, buffet food was better. They mentioned having 2 but the seafood restaurant was closed.
Overall the staff was great, the views made the entire experience worth it. But the resort needs to invest in some infrastructure updates(water issues, rooms) and adding variety to the menu.
Whatttt a beauty.... We went to Haiti for my best friends 30th bday and it was amazing... the resort is about an hour from the airport, the driver from the company Ronald was amazing he was a great driver and made the ride interesting, once we arrived it was breath taking beautiful beaches, the ground is well kept, the rooms were spacious, and the staff friendly, cons ( the staff is def on island time) slow to get requests to the room, but with all that sun and beach what’s the rush, the food was average, could use more variety, and the entertainment was “top notch” def want to go back
The resort is beautiful, but, you have to drive an hour and a half to get there. The ride is not pleasant, you have to pass through a lot of poverty (if you land in Port Au Prince). When you get to the gate you have to know your room number. The staff are amazing, they are so polite and helpful, but their English is very limited.
There are lizards everywhere at night. The doors in the room have a reasonable space on the ground so its easy for lizards to crawl into the room. The rooms are small, but clean. Food is amazing. Beaches are great and pool is awesome. If you are staying in your room and don't want cleaning services they will send someone to do "inventory".
It was my first time in Haiti and I have to admit I didn't know what to expect. As soon as we got to the resort all my worries disappeared. The facilities are impeccable, the staff is really friendly, the food is AMAZING and the beach is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen (and I was born and raised in an island). It's a long drive from the airport to the resort, and I recommend booking the airport transfer directly with them instead of taking a taxi or renting a car, unless you've drove in Haiti before. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer. I was only there for 3 nights and was not ready to leave.

Yes! We had all drinks (alcoholic or not), all meals, mini bar and room service included. The only money we spent was on tips, gifts and excursions.

Transport to resort from airport and back?3 answers
What transport is available from the airport to the resort and back? How much does it cost? and how do you arrange it? Is it reliable? Can you pay in US dollars?
3 years, 37 months ago
New England resident
We purchased the transportation to and from the airport through CheapCarribbean at the same time we booked our vacation (in US dollars) I don't remember how much it cost but it was much easier to have everything already paid for and taken care of before we actually got on vacation. Just call them up and ask to add the airport transportation onto your final total.
Grash
At this time, we do not have a contracted vendor for shuttle service in Haiti. You would have to arrange this directly with a vendor.
SalCC
You have to contact the resort directly to arrange your roundtrip transportation from the airport. The price is $75 per person (roundtrip), and yes it's reliable.

WANTING TO GO TO HAITI BUT WHEN I GO TO BOOK FOR 3/17 NOTHING IS AVAILABLE. IS IT BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS TAKEN OR IT TO FAR FROM NOW?

LITTLE ROCK,AR
It is not due to lack of availability but we are finalizing the contract with the resort for the new year. The 2017 rates should be loaded within a month or two.

IS THERE A TOUR TO THE HISTORICAL PLACES IN HAITI1 answer

marcelle
There should be some historical tours available, however as this is something we do not offer, you would need to inquire either with an excursion company or the resort directly.

How's the security at the resort? Trip to resort?2 answers

Kansas City, Mo
Please inquire with the resort directly about security at the resort. If you have any further questions, you may contact the resort directly or call and speak to one of our Beachologists at 1-800-915-2322.
TimCC
Security was tight, the resort has armed guards in the front and its a drive from the front gate the actual resort, once on the resort it’s private so the beaches are not loaded with random people trying to sell items like other places
