Ultimate relaxation
We spent a very relaxing week at the Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real to celebrate a 50th birthday. The airport transfers both ways were painless and efficient. From the moment we checked in the service was excellent. Our room was ready and we were shown to a beautiful, large one bedroom unit over looking the pool. It was so big easily 2 additional people could have stayed there.
Irvine was our "concierge" and he made our dinner reservations. He did a great job of getting us into a different restaurant each night. Our favorite restaurant was Rare-- the steak house. I had the best ribeye I've ever had. The only choices for breakfast were the buffets which had a plethora of options but a few times were pretty crowded. One of my favorite things was a leisurely breakfast at the larger buffet, sitting outside by the pool with a beautiful view of the ocean, beach and palm trees. We really enjoyed getting to know Fausto, our server at the buffet. All of the people were very friendly. Overall the food was very good. The drinks were top shelf and the bartenders were great at offering suggestions of new drinks to try. The fitness room at the Reserve was very nice with adequate equipment. We enjoyed a beautiful 10 minute walk from the Reserve to the beach but they had golf carts if you preferred a ride. The resort was very quiet, which we loved-- not a loud party atmosphere, but there was fun to be found. Overall, it was a luxurious, relaxing vacation and we hope to go back someday.
from the time we arrive we were treated like family - they actually remembered us from 2016 trip. everything is included and you know it from the word go - Folks are tripping over each other to service your every need. We enjoy going in the "rainy" season as it's a lot less people and so that much more attention just for us. We will be going back year after year.
My Two sisters & I visited The Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real in the Dominican Republic and had a wonderful time! Our lovely balcony room was equipped with an outside jacuzzi and breathtaking views. A welcome bottle of chilled wine and fruit trays added a very nice touch. Our hostess "Emma" was extremely courteous and ready to assist us in every possible way. The food was delicious and the servers went out of their way to make us feel quite at home. A special shout out to the manager-Jorge Castillo, as well as-Altagracia Ruth, Ferdinand, Alexander, Minerva, Alfonzo, George,Muyerling, and Manuel for their excellent customer services in the restaurant. Our trip coordinator Freddy Guzman did a terrific job setting up our tours. The Party Boat tour is highly recommended, we had a great time. All in all I highly recommend vacationing here. It was all inclusive, airfare & resort. We're already planning a return for next summer.
all in all, this is a great resort. the staff is wonderful-as well as their service. very clean and updated..there are a few minor things that could be better but i dont want to nit pick... its our second visit and will definitely be back again.

What are kid zone services for 3 year old?5 answers
I have seen comments on site that kid zone is for 5-12 year olds, but then see where they say 1-12 year olds are welcome there. Which is it? We have a 3 y.o. And an 8 y.o. And want to make sure the 3 y.o can go to kid zone .
Thanks

The Kids Zone kids' program offers supervised activities for ages 1-12. Daily 9am-7pm. Hours are subject to change.
The Kids Zone features walled gardens, an action adventure Jungle gym, a kids mini water park with slides and water features, an overnight camping experience, a surrpund sound cinema featuring kids' movies, a game room equipped with PS3, XBox 360 and Wii, a mini buffet and a mini shop. Activities will change depending on the ages of the children in the Kids Zone that day.
KateHCC
I saw babies there under 1 having a great time. There's a large baby pool with small slides and water features. The kids zone building is toys, tv's, computers, ice cream, snacks, etc. Maybe its the building they are saying is geared towards kids 3 and up?
sass827
The kidz zone has wide verity of activities appropriate for different ages - one of the best i have ever experienced! But there could be potty training requirement - i am not sure about this, please verify with the resort.
Benio
Anyone above the age of 1 is welcome and they will take care of them. Great service there.
Arsh
They have both! They have a section for babies and toddlers with a nap area and then they have a more sophisticated section with computers and Xbox.

What are the brands of whisky and vodka that you provide at the Reserve?3 answers
Black label? Gray Goose? is this for an additional charge? any other fine alcohol brands?
5 years, 72 months ago
Miami
This resort does offer Premium and International brands; however, the specific brands are subject to change. We recommend checking with the bartender when you arrive to see what they have stocked for the week.
LaurenCC
We had Grey Goose Vodka and Jack Daniels at no additional charge.
Kevin2
They have almost anything you want, but you need to ask for it. Otherwise, you get the "bottom shelf" quality.

Paradisus suite vs. one bedroom suite2 answers
What is the difference between the one bedroom suite and the standard paradisus suite? Is the bedroom still in a separate room than the living room area in the standard?
2 years, 25 months ago
Jen
The Paradisus suite is about 800 sq ft vs the one bedroom suite which is 1076 sq ft. The one bedroom suite would have it's own separate room. If you have any further questions, you may contact the resort directly or call and speak to one of our Beachologists at 1-800-915-2322.

One bed room is a littler bigger both offer the same.

Do all the rooms at the Reverve have the butler service?1 answer
Not clear. At other properties you could upgrade to Royal Service with the butler but seems maybe all rooms at the Reserva come with the butler? not sure. They do mention "family conceierge rooms" as a choice but not just butler or royal service so I was guessing all rooms in the Reserva have the butler and access to VIP things. Is that correct? So then what is difference to book at the Reserva or just regular Punta Cana Real with Royal Service.

JRRD
The rooms do not come with butler service. If you have any further questions, you may contact the resort directly or call and speak to one of our Beachologists at 1-800-915-2322.
