Wait until you dip your sandy toes onto the breathtakingly beautiful Bavaro Beach. It is probably one of the prettiest stretches of white sands you'll ever sink body and soul into. This tranquil resort is sans-kids, so you can read your entire beach-read book. Visit the spa multiple times. Dine as early or as late as you want. Refresh your suntan peacefully. As the tennis shoe proclaims, just do it. Live it up, adult vacay style.

Our favorite resort
We purchased during the Black Friday sale and feel we got a great deal. We vacation with friends every winter. Our requirements are All Inclusive, Adults Only, 24hr Room Service & Top Shelf Liquor. TRS exceeded our expectations.
TRS is within the Palladium complex (this place is huge) and is the premium resort. We were definitely treated as the high rollers whenever we went to any of the other restaurants, spa etc. within the resort. The personal butler (King Kong & Amiris) were great for whatever we needed. I loved the shuttle service throughout the resorts. I had to visit the hospital during our vacation and they even called the hospital to check on me.
The food options are endless and when needed our butlers made & changed our reservations. The food was always fresh and quite good for resort food. There was live music nightly throughout TRS and a nightly part in the lobby of all the resorts. The nightly shows were fun and there were lots of activities during the day.
There are no real ocean view rooms at this resort (common in the DR)t. We considered upgrading our room for the ocean view. Very glad we did not as it wouldn't have been worth the expense.
We had a great time and would go back to this resort again.
It surpassed all expectations from the service, food, grounds and just overall satisfaction! We celebrated our honeymoon here and will definitely refer family and friends to this resort.
The resort was beautiful, rooms and pools, etc were very clean. The service was beyond awful. Aside from the handful of people that actually tried to make our stay more pleasant everyone was rude and not at all willing to help. King Kong, Jose R, Provincia - thank you to you guys!
So long story short cause i could go on and on.. we didn’t have air conditioning in our suite for the first 3 days of our week vacation. We talked to anyone possible and no one would actually HELP. They’d shrug it off and pretend to pass it onto the next person that was just as useless as the others. Very stressful and the last thing you want to be dealing with on vacation. Also, hot water was on and off the whole week we were there. Sometimes even no water at all. Awful! No one did anything to make our stay better- so it goes without saying I will never return to this resort! Such a shame- I stayed at this same resort in Mexico and I loved every minute of it.
Don’t waste your time coming here!
We came with friends after looking at all resorts around. We choose it because of adults only, and top shelf liquor, plus 24 hour room service
Ok our room was awesome, you have access to all the other resorts at palladium, and you are a VIP at this resort. The shuttle service is great but the walk around the resort is very easy to navigate. The private pool is terrific, and at each room area and you have your own butler to help you out as well ours was. Adris was so helpful and very nice! Restaurants are wonderful
And we loved our excursion
It was a wonderful experience!

Would my 18 year old son find this resort a good vacation?4 answers
What is there to do for an 18 year old at the Royal Suites Turquesa?
6 years, 82 months ago
Orange, TX
Royal Suites Turquesa by Palladium has as newly built entertainment complex which includes a disco for dancing 'til dawn, an amphitheater for the nightly live entertainment and an activities area for a variety of spontaneous outbursts. The resort is adults only, however, guests staying at Royal Suites Turquesa have use of the facilities at Grand Palladium Palace, Grand Palladium Punta Cana and Grand Palladium Bavaro.
MariaCC
There are activities like horseshoes, darts, and dance lessons everyday multiple times a day if he doesn't want to just sit by the beach and/or pool. There are also shows on the sister properties that are about a 5-10 minute walk away as well as 1 or 2 dance clubs at night.
honeymoontrip
There are actually 4 resorts side by side. So there are other options. If he makes friends easily he'll make many.
Khuzsek
This one is for an older crowd. There's not much for young people to do.

Does the Royal Suites Turquesa by Palladium have nightlife and entertainment on the adults-only portion of the resort or are those activities located on the sister properties? I'm finding that many resorts in Punta Cana advertising "adults only" have nightlife & entertainment on their sister properties that cater to families which totally defeats the purpose of an adults-only vacation. If you pay for an adults-only resort advertising nightlife & activities, you expect just that! Can you recommend some adults-only resorts that fit the bill?

They were on the sister properties (although there really was not a break between them - it has the feel of one giant resort). We went to the other end and really didn't have a huge issue with running screaming children. I believe the Disco is 18 and over but it is on the other end.
As for adults only - we really like El Dorado Royale however they only have shows.
BGandLNL
You are correct. Activities and nightlife are at the sister resorts.
Rette
You're absolutely right, the nightlife was on the sister hotels which were for families, which were theaters with variety type shows. There was a "club" and "casino" on this resort but you can hardly call it that. It was very small. Paradissus Reserve had better nightlife.

Money exchange and customer service??3 answers
I was wondering if there is currency exchange at the resort? Just curious, never traveled out of country before, and I thought I saw a review that someone said they had to actually leave the resort to exchange their money?? Do they use us dollar? Is it better to bring cash or travelers checks?
Also, does any one have a contact email for someone from guest services? I was wanting to request a honeymoon package and room; we tried calling almost 8 or 9 times and kept getting hung up on, transferred endlessly, or people who didn't understand english; I even had my spanish speaking mother make a call and the same thing happened; also had very bad phone connection. Need another way to get ahold of them, also to confirm my reservation. Thanks.

US currency is readily accepted for tipping and making purchases. Credit cards may be used for larger purchases such as spa services or excursions as well. Some hotels do have exchange services available but they may charge a fee for this service as well as cashing travelers checks.
The best way to contact this facilty via e-mail is through their website, www.fiestahotelgroup.com. There is an option to send an e-mail in the 'contact us' section of their site.
MellissaCC
Resort staff have informed us that guests can exchange currency at the resort. ATMs on site dispense money in Dominican pesos. And you'll be happy to know that US currency is gladly accepted as well.
A couple of other related items of note came up in our research. Travelers checks can be exchanged for pesos, not US currency. And you'll need ID (your passport should suffice) in order to conduct the exchange. Also, bear in mind that exchanging currency at the resort may not necessarily give you the most favorable exchange rate which is generally said to be had at exchange house (Cambio) and banks.
Lastly, it is recommended that you exchange into the smaller denominations of the bills. This will eliminate in large part occasions in which a merchant/vendor is unable to change a larger bill amount used for purchase possibly forcing you into situation of leaving owed change on the table.
With regards to guest services, our contact at the resort provided this number and said you should simply ask for the manager: 809-221-8149.
As always, please feel free to contact CheapCaribbean.com for any assistance regarding your reservation.
ChrisCC
The resort is able to convert currency, however, they may not be able to convert large bills. Additionally, US dollars are accepted as well, but keep in mind that change may be given in Dominican Pesos. The phone number for the resort is 809-221-0719. If you have an exisitng reservation with us, one of our exisitng reservations agents would be more than happy to put in any requests that you may have if you are having trouble contacting the resort directly.
KateHCC
pay with dollars, there are fees for exchange so its not worth it. a good advice we received was not to pay with credit card as not all establishments our honest where you use them.

I would call the 800 number they will really help you with your reservations.Ask them about the money. I always carry both but the resort stores liked American money.

I don't want my husband to struggle with viewing unwanted nudity while at the resort.

Topless sunbathing is allowed on the beaches is Punta Cana. The resorts do discourage topless sunbathing at the pool areas, but it is not always strictly enforced.
KateHCC
Although we are not sure if the adult only beach was supposed to be topless or not when we got there; many women were topless on a regular basis

This is an adults only resort so yes there were some topless women at the beach.

As the resort is an adults only property, they may allow topless bathing, however, it does not appear that the resort has an au natural section. We do suggest checking with the resort directly upon check in.

Topless is an option at the Royale beach and adult pool only. Total nudity is prohibited.

While we never inquired about it, we saw people sun-bathing topless without issue. I never saw total nudity though.

The Royal Junior Suite has a pool or ocean view as well as including a wine cellar for an additional charge, private butler service and a "pass-through" window for your 24 hours room service.

The Royal Junior Suite includes these amenities:
The Royal Junior Suites are large and luxuriously equipped with a furnished balcony or terrace, air conditioning, butler service, memory foam mattresses, living room with sofa bed, cable TV and complimentary Wi-Fi. With so many luxurious amenities, you are sure to feel like royalty.
The Royal Junior Suite Deluxe includes these amenities:
The Royal Junior Suite Deluxe is large and provides enough space for everyone. Room amenities include a furnished balcony or terrace with ocean or pool views, air conditioning, private butler service, complimentary Wi-Fi, cable TV, wine cellar for an additional charge, private butler service and a "pass-through" window for your 24 hours room service.

Deluxe is bigger better has 2 tvs one in living room and one in bedroom also a huge spa tub. Best room in my opinion other than the cabana suite which had 2 balconies.

No. I regretted not bringing more small bills.

I booked through cheapcaribbean.com and their agreement terms state that it was included. My stay seemed to verify this. While I didn't specifically ask, we never tipped and I never got the impression that the staff were looking for one. In the end, I tipped a couple, but it wasn't the common action among the guests on the resort.
EyassuTwo
Most of the all-inclusive vacation includes gratuities. But it has been my experience that I try to carry around tip money. Tips go a long way in countries like the Dominican Republic and I am not rich but I try to always give a little. I left a little tip every day for the maid and she was overwhelming grateful, I had fresh flowers on my bed and a souvenir doll to go home .

For the exact locations of the different resorts that you have access to and walkability please contact the resort directly. Their contact page is: https://www.palladiumhotelgroup.com/en/palladium/contactar/. Thank you!
LizCC
Yes, they are in walking distance but stay away from the casio. Please read the review I just posted.
LisaJ
You can walk but it's a long walk. If you are staying at the Royal Suites just call for a ride at the desk near your room. We never had to wait longer than a couple of minutes for a ride. Just keep a few dollars for tip money and all will be fine.
Rette
Some yes, some no. They provide golf carts and a train to take you where every you like. The complex is massive. The casino is semi central located but not worth even going in. Only like 10 slot machines and 3 tables. Yes, walking distance from Royal Suites.
vmms
The casino is within walking distance. There are 4 sister hotels on the same property. It is a huge complex and they have golf carts if you don't want to walk to everything but it wasn't a bad walk to all the amenities that the 5 resorts have to offer.

The ocean front rooms are an upgrade. We looked into them when we checked in and it wasn't a full ocean view. We opted not to upgrade and were happy with our choice. The entire resort is beautiful. Dominican Republic in general has very few Ocean View rooms.

I did not personal have a massage but the folks from the spa were all around. As I recall from what they said it was $60 but you could add special oils and aromas that were extra but only like $3 or so.

In the beginning and what was on the menu was quite expensive, but after some reluctance the sales person brought it down to $114 for a 80 minutes massage for one. So I guess the prices are negotiable and they do in fact work off of commission.

Swim up rooms are almost never connected to the main pool, or to a pool with a swim up bar. The swim up pools would be exclusive to just those with that room category, in that building block.

Swim up rooms do not have a swim up bar. Also, swim up rooms are the furthest rooms from the beach. Swim up bars are only at main pools.

The beds were pretty hard. Not to the point that we couldn't sleep on them. We didn't think to ask for mattress toppers but we did address this with the travelers club representative who said they will look into it.
Tiffnmarty
The beds were very hard. At least the one we had was. I like a firm bed, but I don't like waking up in the morning feeling like I slept on the floor. There were multiple pillow options, but I did not see an option for a bed topper.
aubs
They are extremely hard and inflexible. But I slept like a baby and my son said it helped his back
Beachlovingangel
Yes, Beds are somewhat hard but they do offer additional pillows and mattress top at no charge. Pillows are offered to your Like. Feathers, Memory and so on.

What is the smoking policy5 answers
Does the resort have smoking area and or sell cigarettes?
1 year, 20 months ago
Sophia
The resort will have designated smoking areas, smoking is generally not allowed in rooms, under covered areas, nor near the pools. As for cigarettes, they do usually sell them in the store, however this is subject to availability.
JeannieCC
They sell cigarettes and it is very smoker friendly
sunsandlove
You can smoke pretty much everywhere, I bought cigarettes at the airport Duty Free, not sure if they sell it on property.
IloveLucy629
There were plenty of people smoking outdoors. I do not know about the availability of smoking rooms, but they sell cigarettes in the supermarket in the resort.
LovinBeachLivin
There are smoking areas, no one really bothered anyone smoking. There are a couple stores imbetween the three resorts that sell just about anything you might need, including cigarettes.
