Exelent

The hotel is not a 5 star hotel but the rooms are really big and nice . You dont have to make a reservation in the other 2 restaurants because the buffet was awesome every night different and a lot of food . The service was good the only thing that we didn't like was that there are not enough umbrellas on the beach and you might get sun burned :) the entertainment was awesome 24/7 party and different fun games . I think that was the best part of our vacation :) i recomend this hotel to everyone who dont have HUGE expetations

Never again

First time to n the DR, and if I base it on this one experience, I would not go back. The pictures shown online are very nice, but when you get to the resort it is not what is pictured. You only get the nice room shown if you join the condo group. Our first room was run down , and our mattress was about 4 inches thin, and it tacod in the middle. We were right above a very noisy bar that kept us up all night. The a/c was crap, meaning it stopped working. I spoke to the front desk to have them move us, and they said to check tomorrow as they were full for the night. We did this and on the 3rd day of my 7 day vacation we were moved. We were then taken to our new room which appeared better but as we were there it started smelling like a sewer!!! Oh my, then our shower broke, the toilet broke, which my husband fixed on his own . The a/c started leaking water from the ceiling, as well as the clothes washer. This resort is horrible about communication and do not do what they say they will do for you. The wait staff at the restaurant and bar, and our bellman and our friend with Amstar were the only things that kept us from not flying home early. I have actually contacted cheap Caribbean to ask for a partial refund of my hotel, hopefully this gets resolved, but I will never go back to this hotel.

Poor food options

The best part about this resort is the beach hands down! It’s beautiful clear water and soft sand! Besides the people trying to sell you things every shop you pass taking a walk down the beach it’s great just tell them no thanks and be on your way! As for food quality and options, i dont recommend this resort there were certains points you couldn’t even get food only “VIP” could. They try to rope you into their time share for hours you’ll sit there!, all together was a good vacation it’s all what you make it i would Go back to Punta Cana but not this resort!

Highly disappointing- Small, Dirty, Food subpar.

After being told be Cheap Caribbean representative Eric Guidi that Presidential Suites Punta Cana was the new and upcoming resort and a great option to stay at, we were highly disappointed in the resort. We had a bad feeling as soon as we pulled into the entrance and saw how small it was. Eric put in his notes when booking that we wanted two room next to each other (two couple traveling together) and when checking in, the worker told us we were in completely different buildings. After explaining that this was not what we requested, they shifted stuff around and got us rooms across from each other. The rooms weren’t ready at arrival so they suggested we walk down to the beach buffet and have lunch. The buffet was near the end so nothing was filled and we were not happy with our lunch. At this time, we also realized how small the resort was. We started getting nervous. Our rooms were ready and as soon as we walked in we found more disappointment. Our room smelt like sewer as soon as we walked in, and our friends room smelt like someone had been smoking in there all day. We continued to walk thru the room to find extremely rusty fixtures, especially in the bathroom ( faucets and shower-head) and the rooms were very dirty. We had gross stains on the curtains and our friends had stains on there bed. The chairs on the balcony had cigarette burns. At this time we changed and walked down to the bar on the beach. I contacted Eric to ask if we could change hotels or if he could do anything for us and his only response was to call customer service. While trying to figure out where the bars and restaurants listed on the website were, we were dissatisfied to find out that we could not get into or eat at half the places listed, since we were not VIP, and the list was small to begin with. Only the timeshare owners were VIP. This meant instead of 3 restaurants to eat at beside the buffet, there were only two, and many of the bars were VIP as well. Food- The food in the buffet was under par. There was not a lot of flavor. Often times when things ran out l, it stayed empty for awhile. The female waitstaff for breakfast and lunch was not very personable. It would often take forever just to get water. The food in the Italian and Japanese restaurants were a little better. They only did two seating for these restaurants (6:30 and 8:30 pm) and they wouldn’t even change the stained tablecloths in between seatings. You need reservations to eat at these restaurants, but you could only make them in the lobby with one person between 9 am and 2 pm, so if you were gone all day on an excursion, or if the one person was at lunch, you could not get a reservation. It took awhile for the meals to come out, and the Japanese place wasn’t even near a bar, so the poor server had to keep running to the bar in the buffet in the pouring rain to get beers. Rooms and room service- as stated earlier the rooms were older and dirty. We didn’t have hot water for showers in our room for the first day and a half. After getting the rooms cleaned for the first time, we realized dirty towels were just getting rehung or not changed. Same with the stained bed spread and sheets that we found when getting to the room. The fridge was supposed to be restocked everyday, but it never was unless I complained. After complaining, someone would finally show up about 4 hours later. Also, the person next to us had a dog that barked all day and night when hearing us in the hall. It also would bark all night while we were trying to fall asleep. We later found out the person in the room next door actually lives there. The resort was condos that they are converting, and people still live in some. The beds we not comfortable, and the thickness of them was about half the size of the mattresses they show in the pictures. Pools- Out of the two pools, the bottom of one was torn up in multiple spots and cutting other guests’ feet. The poolside servers would have to walk by multiple bars and down to the beach bar to get us drinks because we weren’t VIP, so it would take a long time for them to come back. I have never been to a resort where I saw so many people sitting around. I wouldn’t care if service was excellent, but it was not. We did have a couple workers make the vacation better. We had an awesome bartender Jiselle at the beach bar, a server at dinner, Elbie and an amazing beach side server, William, that definitely helped make the experience better. They were nice and fun and funny and could not do enough for us. The entertainment crew were also great. They had exercising, games and volleyball on the beach during the day and were always involved in the nighttime entertainment such as putting on shows or hosting karaoke. I would never go back this resort or recommend it to anyone I know. They make you feel like crap if you’re not VIP. The dirtiness was such a turn off. They also have pictures and billboards all over the resort from their other resort in Puerta Plata, which we hear is 20x better than this one. We would look at the pictures and wonder where the stuff was in the photos, and wish we were at the other resort. We were extremely disappointed with the response from the Cheap Caribbean workers. We felt as though they didn’t care at all that we were unhappy. I will not be booking anymore trips with them.

The 8 multi-story buildings are complemented by 2 free-form pools that casually wind among the buildings and balconies. The modern-looking pools are incredible even at night, when you can kick up your feet and enjoy one of the specialty drinks like the Banana Mama. Also, the hotel shares watersport facilities with the neighboring Vista Sol hotel. There are regular aerobics, water games and other beach activities to join, while the little ones can amuse themselves at the kids' club.

Two a la carte restaurants are staffed with friendly service. Choices include Japanese Teppanyaki, Italian or a buffet filled with various flavors and styles. There are 3 bars to choose from, too. The 2 beach bars, Utopia and Spirits, make relaxing on the beautiful beach an experience you just cannot miss. Nirvana Beach is private access, and you can relax on the comfy beach beds while enjoying beachside service.

There isn't a party atmosphere to avoid for some quiet time like you would find at the bigger all-inclusive resorts. However, there are still some daily and nightly entertainment options on select nights to get your groove on without getting too out of hand. Events include participation shows, karaoke, live singers and more. But if you are looking for a beach-party extravaganza or a romp in a casino, there are plenty of options in the area.
