Do NOT Go To This Resort

Let me start with the good about this Resort. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. The beach was well maintained, and beach chairs were comfortable. The staff were always greeting people and friendly. Now the bad, and I have a few things. 1. If you choose to come to this Resort, know that at every turn you will be asked to purchase more things and spend more money before you even set foot on the beach. The first morning that I tried to go on to the beach, I was stopped by a Lifestyle Vacation Club representative. This representative told me that their guides were going to show me around the resort to let me know all the things that my stay included. However, after some time of waiting around, and not so subtle sales pitch small talk, it was clear that I was being approached to purchase a vacation club VIP timeshare like membership. I was annoyed about this because that's not why I was interested in coming to this Resort in the first place. I just wanted to go to the beach, yet I was spending about an hour telling people why I was not interested in getting a VIP membership to their vacation club. But, the asking to purchase more things did not stop there. While I was on the beach, there were people running around constantly asking the tourists to buy excursions. Now, the resort has a sign saying that those people, which they call "pirates" are not a part of the resort, and tourists would buy at our own risk. However, the fact that the pirates were constantly on the beach asking to buy more things was an annoyance. Also, the day of my spa treatment, the masseuse told me that I needed to get more massage therapy and that she could offer me a discount. I let her know that I didn't have the money for that. So, as I was preparing to go into the sauna and hot tub, she asked me how much I had paid for the initial massage and then continued to ask me to purchase another therapy session. I had to repeat myself again to let her know that I didn't have the money for that. I should not have had to deal with that after spending money already on one treatment to be constantly asked by the staff to spend more money. 2. The second issue. I purchased an early morning Excursion that was to last six hours in the city. The Excursion started before the resort restaurant opened. The representative who sold me the excursion told me that I should be able to get a to-go plate the day before in order to eat something before getting on the bus to go into the city. However, when I approached the manager of the restaurant I was told that I couldn't get a to-go plate because guests aren't allowed to take food to go. I explained to him that I just wanted to get a little bit of breakfast to have for the day of my Excursion so I wouldn't be hungry on the bus. The manager continued to tell me no, although a representative with the resort excursions said that this had been done before. This just made no sense to me. It wasn't like I was asking to take food out everyday. I asked for one to-go plate so that I wouldn't be hungry on my Excursion. I had to go to the manager of the resort, who in turn sent an email to the restaurant manager to tell him it was okay for me to get a to-go plate. I'm still flabbergasted that after paying so much money on this trip, I had to jump through hoops just to get one to go plate. 3. There is NO WIFI in your room. You have to leave your room, go to the lobby, restaurant, or beach areas to use the WiFi. This was ridiculous especially seeing that I had some work to do on this trip. I can get WiFi in a room in a motel that costs much less than what I paid for this trip. I spent over a $1000 on this trip, and I can't even get WiFi in my room. I had to purchase international service on my phone just to call my mom. 4. One night in the resort restaurant, they served fried chicken. When cut into the chicken, there was still blood inside. It had not been cooked well enough. I told one of the servers and his response was, "Oh, do you want me to take it back?" I told him, "Yes. You could kill someone like this with salmonella poisoning." The server took the plate away, and I returned to the buffet to check another piece of chicken, it also has blood in it and wasn't cooked well. Why, after a guest has told the staff that the chicken is raw, that the staff member would not inform the manager so that the chicken can be removed from the buffet? This makes no sense to me and is a health issue. 5. Check out for the hotel was at 11:30 a.m., but my flight back home was not until 7 at night. I asked the resort staff whether or not I could extend the amount of time in the room. The staff told me that I would have to pay $10 per hour in order to stay longer. However, one of the resort front desk representatives also told me that if no one had booked my room that day, I could stay longer for free. So, the day of my check out, I went down to the front desk to inquire about whether or not I could stay in the room a couple of extra hours seeing that my flight wasn't until later. Instead of checking to see whether or not someone had purchased the room, and I could stay a little longer for free, the front desk staff told me I had to pay the $10 an hour. So, it seems to me that the front desk staff decided what option was best based on how they felt. It just seems like they tell you one thing and they do another. There is a lot of misinformation at this hotel. Lastly, I would not choose this Resort again when coming to the Dominican Republic. This was a lesson in learning what I DON'T want in a vacation

Don't do it. from one human to another

My husband and I went to Punta Cana Presidential Suites for our honeymoon package. Our transportation wasnt there, the roof caved in, and fraud runs rampant. I would write more truth but the website wont allow an honest review.

Presidential Suites Punta Cana: A Boutique Experience on a Beautiful Beach

Joining the Lifestyle family of resorts is the Presidential Suites Punta Cana, an intimate getaway on gorgeous white sands. The hideaway benefits from the Caribbean atmosphere and rejuvenating climate, making for the quiet vacation you've been looking for. The spacious suites come fully equipped with the comforts of home such as a modern kitchen, a dining room, and ample living space. Coming here will be like hitting the slow-motion button on your life. The hotel is located on Cortecito Beach with shopping and local bars and restaurants right next door!

The 8 multi-story buildings are complemented by 2 free-form pools that casually wind among the buildings and balconies. The modern-looking pools are incredible even at night, when you can kick up your feet and enjoy one of the specialty drinks like the Banana Mama. Also, the hotel shares watersport facilities with the neighboring Vista Sol hotel. There are regular aerobics, water games and other beach activities to join, while the little ones can amuse themselves at the kids' club.

Two a la carte restaurants are staffed with friendly service. Choices include Japanese Teppanyaki, Italian or a buffet filled with various flavors and styles. There are 3 bars to choose from, too. The 2 beach bars, Utopia and Spirits, make relaxing on the beautiful beach an experience you just cannot miss. Nirvana Beach is private access, and you can relax on the comfy beach beds while enjoying beachside service.

There isn't a party atmosphere to avoid for some quiet time like you would find at the bigger all-inclusive resorts. However, there are still some daily and nightly entertainment options on select nights to get your groove on without getting too out of hand. Events include participation shows, karaoke, live singers and more. But if you are looking for a beach-party extravaganza or a romp in a casino, there are plenty of options in the area.
