Great resort

We've stayed in a few places in Punta Cana and this one is right up there. Food was good in that don't expect TGI Fidays or Mortons. The restaurants were great, for the DR, and always a good breakfast at any of the places we've stayed. For value, this was great. Stayed in more expensive places and this one competes. And a shout out to Cheap Caribbean. We originally booked at the Iberostar. They sent an email saying pool would be closed due to a leak. I found this resort and asked if we could change. This was about 2 weeks before we left. They arranged it for us, at no extra cost. Great ocean front room. Beach here was great. This is reason why we go to Punta Cana as beaches are beautiful. Drinks OK, and if you ask for a better say vodka, they did have so ask and you could get better booze. Pools were great. A more rowdy, pool with swim up bar. Or a quiet one if you want some peace and quiet. Overall, we liked it.

Occidental review

Very small and service was absolutely horrible. I always tip and didn’t seem to matter while workers just stood around. Rooms were ok in my opinion. Lots of theft there there they stole two of our towels and went up front to get a replacement card and said it would be $40. My friends had nightmares with there room. Overall I would not recommend this property and will not be back ever. Food was also ok same stuff every night. Casino was a joke like total of 25 ancient machines to pick from that just take your money. Save your money and go somewhere else. Hope this saves someone from going and making a mistake.

This place was amazing from start to finish. Service was excellent! Resort was very clean and I loved everything about it. The views are amazing! Restaurant food was great. Buffet food was pretty good lots of selection if your vegetarian. Beach was just minutes away. Recommend that you make reservations at the restaurant as soon as you arrive.

Bad food, bad drink.

If you’re headed on a vacation for some great food and good drinks, don’t bother with this place. Rooms are modern, but run down. Food is far from good. The best meal was Italian - in the Dominican. All liquor is bottom shelf, Dominican liquor. Only beer on the resort is El Presidente, with the exception of coors light in your room. Excellent beach, great view. Staff not very helpful - only a few were kind. We had a great vacation because of the people we had along, but will not be back to this resort.

What's to Love

It's all-inclusive and all-aahmazing. You'll want for nada.

Metamorphosis Spa. Aloe-vera body wraps & Shiatsu massages transform you. Body & soul.

An in-water jungle gym, water-spraying palm tree and ginormous frog for your beach babies.

Family fun like supervised trapeze training & a trampoline. Yes, you read that right.

Mediterranean-style architecture makes you feel all royal.

What We'd Change

Necessary items, such as sunscreen, can be pretty pricey at the resort's shops. Bring plenty with you, and you'll have no problem getting oodles of pictures of your well-protected bronzed bod.

Why You Should Go

It's just a 25 short minutes from the airport. Your sandsational vacay will begin pronto.

There's scuba & snorkeling. Water polo & water basketball. Get splashy.

Three tennis courts and a climbing wall offer fun on terra firma & for those who enjoy heights.

Golf is only 20 minutes away at an 18-hole, par-72 course designed by Juan Manuel Gordilla.

Eco-adventures tours are available for all the explorer types out there.
