An Excellent Choice!!

My wife and I chose this resort for our 10 year anniversary not knowing anything about it at all. We were incredibly happy with our choice! As soon as we arrived we were welcomed happily with champagne and the excellent customer service continued from there. Our room was spacious and always well cleaned. Room service is always available and was excellent. The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating even though my wife and I do not speak Spanish very well. Everyone we interacted with spoke English, but were open to speaking Spanish slowly if we would like to learn. The entertainment team on-site offered many options for games and activities, but they did not pressure you if you simply wanted to sit by the beach or the pool. The grounds of the resort were incredible. It was very spacious. We did not feel like there were very many people here, even though they were fully booked!! I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who is looking to get away for an all inclusive experience where you can relax without feeling like you are on top of a bunch of people. You won’t regret choosing the Grand Bavaro!!

Beautiful resort!!!

From the onset the grounds were beautiful and the service was amazing. We checked in and were welcomed with a cool towel and an extremely refreshing watermelon soda drink. Check in was fast. We were escorted to our room was on the 7th floor. Our butler, Vernese, (I hope I spelled that right) was amazing! She was knowledgeable, helpful and kind. As far as the food, all of the buffet food was amazing and fresh. In the mornings, the omelette bar guys were great and the juice bar lady was really sweet. Our servers throughout our time there no matter where we were on the complex were extremely pleasant. However, the food at the restaurants we tried was disgusting. We ate at the Japanese restaurant and the Italian restaurant. Both were nasty. My advice is for amazing food, eat at the buffets. We had drinks by the poolside, some tasted like straight alcohol such as the margarita and mojito-no sweetness whatsoever. But if you’re just trying to get drunk off of one drink, it’s good I guess. We also participated in the extracurriculars: yoga and dancing. Samantha the yogi, was amazing. Yocardi B, the dance instructor was amazing but I think we needed more than one hour for a lesson. There was a gym class that we were interested in but none of the workers seemed to know where it was held. It wasn’t until afterwards that we found out that it was held at another hotel. One day we were there the cleaning lady cleaned our room and forgot to provide washcloths. We called twice and no one ever brought them. The last two nights that we were there we were rudely awaked after 9pm by the cleaning crew trying to clean our room. It was really bizarre. Despite the gross restaurant food and the cleaning crew issues, overall, it was a good experience.

Anniversary trip

This was our 4th trip to an all inclusive in Punta Cana. This hotel was very beautiful and classy. Never felt busy, food was very good. The beach was much quieter than the next hotel down that was swarming with kids. Only complaints are their reservation system for dinner. We didnt get to try the 4th restaurant because there was no availability the whole time we were here. Never been to a place that required reservations at all the restaurants. And the room never got as cool as we would have liked despite knocking the temperature way down. Definitely would recommend, you wont be disappointed.
