mislead

We booked this trip at a Resort, Casino and Spa... The Casino portion of this is false. There is NO casino at this resort... We were mislead! We came here because it allegedly had a casino on property but it DOES NOT! Not pleased!

My family and I loved the place

I loved the fact that I went with my whole family, we had a great time and the hotel is one of the best in our opinion. The service is excellent and you can make friends easily. Everything was always clean. You have many options when it comes to the buffets and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody who wants to have a great time, a lot of options for food and a lot of bars.

Great resort and very clean rooms!

My wife and I went as a couple and couldn't be happier with our vacation. We stayed 8 days/7 nights. The resort is very well kept and our room was clean. The food was good. The breakfast buffet had many options. It had two omelet stations, a burrito station, a pancake/crepe station. Lots of pastries and fresh fruit! The lunch buffet was good with a cook to order chef making burgers, fish, and chicken. There were many options for lunch including salad, sandwiches, hot dishes, and desserts. The dinner was good as well. We ate at almost all the restaurants except the Italian because the wait was an hour and a half. The Steakhouse and Asian restaurant was our favorite. We also made a reservation for the Japanese hibachi and it was a great experience and a good meal. We also enjoyed room service many times. The room service was a really nice feature available from 11am to 11 pm. Many of the staff members we're nice and friendly but some we're grumpy and shouldn't be working in the industry. The beaches we're absolutely beautiful but we went during what we were told was "seaweed season" and the beaches we're absolutely packed with seaweed. We we're a bit disappointed but still spent time on the beach. The resort used heavy machines to clean up the seaweed but it still washed up constantly. The free sailboat rental was a nice feature. We sailed by ourselves twice. The resort is huge if you are not a walker they offer shuttles to various parts of the resorts including the restaurants. We took a 3 hour snorkeling tour from the resort, about $50 a person, and I highly recommend it! The water in the snorkeling area was so amazingly blue green. Now I want to mention a few negatives from our stay. The building we stayed in had many rooms that opened up to a courtyard area. The only issue with that is the doors slam every time someone opens the door and it is extremely loud. I would recommend ear plugs but it would be nice if they put a no slam feature on the hotel room doors. Another very frustrating part of the hotel is the fact that they try to sell you a time share. They are EXTREMELY pushy and don't take no for an answer. We had to get rude with them because we wouldn't go to the presentation. This is absolutely unacceptable! Another complaint was the hotel personnel trying to sell spa packages. We must have been asked over a hundred times by employees if we wanted to purchase a spa package. Also very unacceptable and annoying when we were trying to relax. The last negative is the people walking on the beach trying to sell things. They are relentless as well. Watch out when you leave the resort and go to the shopping area next door. The people in the shops are extremely pushy and almost physically make you go in their store. They are so obnoxious. The only pool we swam in was the adult pool and I feel it could have been cleaner. The water was cloudy and there was debris and hair all in the pool. I think they should clean it better. But honestly it was a great experience overall.

Family Reunion 2018

Stayed that the Grand Palladium Palace Resort Spa and Casino for a family reunion in August 2018. The hotel lay-out was great but was not happy with the overall facilities. The gym at the hotel was great.....spacious and clean. The rooms need an upgrade.....the a/c was not working and water was leaking from the shower into the room. The beach was covered with algae and it took the hotel several days to clear it. Very difficult to get dinner reservations for a large group of 17. The restaurants had very slow service. Also, the casino was under renovations. Overall, we were not very happy with the hotel.
