Went back for second time, food in restaurants was poor, buffet was decent. Upgrade to "preferred" side was worthless.

Anniversary Trip

Our experience with cheap Caribbean was amazing. Everything was well put together for our trip. We chose an all inclusive option. Amazing choice. The resort was great. Food tasted wonderful; there were lots of options to chose from and open pretty much all day. The staff consisted of some of the nicest people I have ever met and I have literally travelled the world. Our hot water wasn’t working so we told the staff, they came to fix it right away. Anything we needed, they found for us. We stayed as preferred guests, having our own pools, bars and restaurants was nice because it offered more options. There were lots of activities on the resort as well as one that could be purchased and visited outside the resort. We did a little of everything. Try a massage on the beach while listening to the oven waves or go parasailing under the sun. There is something for everyone! Although tipping is not required, we did because the service was just that great!! Bring American cash, it’s the preferred money. (Small bills are best for shopping). We would certainly invite anyone interested in coming to PC to visit this resort! Super kid friendly (although we went out of season so there weren’t many kids). We are truly ready to come back!!!

OK resort

We had been to 3 Dreams and 1 Breathless. Dreams Palm Beach was old and the worst. We went there in the beginning of March and the weather was excellent and sunshine daily. The best thing of this vacation was the excellent services and friendly/excellent helpers in this Dreams Palm Beach. There is 1 very pleasant, friendly, smiley, knowledgeable, and helpful helper at the VIP desk in the lobby that we like to thank him, ELIEZER. He made us feel very, very welcome. THANK YOU Eliezer!! He was friendly and incredible since the 1st day we met him. He was not the pushy type of sales person. Since then, he treated us like the VIP and old friends everyday. When you get there, please ask for ELIEZER and he will take care of you in his friendly and pleasant way. The best restaurant was the Hibachi in Japanese Restaurant. The Hibachi food was good and atmosphere was fun. 2nd, the French restaurant with excellent service and good food. 3rd, the Italian Restaurant were good in service and food. Food and service of Mexican restaurant were not good. Buffet was just OK food with not many choices, and almost the same daily. We liked the best was the Fish and seafood station with 4 different fresh fish and fresh mussels, Yummy. The Beach was OK with some seaweed and was comfortably walkable. The sand was white with tiny, tiny grains, and comfortable/soft enough to walk on compared to the big grainy rough sand in Cancun. The evening shows were hit or miss. It is a short walk to the shopping area in this area outside the resort's gate.

I'm definitely going back!

The Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana is absolutely beautiful. The staff is wonderful and the food was delicious. The one VERY BIG issue I had was with the Italian restaurant, Portofino. I ordered the penne vodka which came with salmon. I specifically asked the waiter to substitute the salmon with chicken. When I finally got my dinner and started to eat---I realized it was both chicken and salmon! When I pointed this out to the waiter, he was very confrontational and insist that it was chicken. I asked him to taste, "the so call chicken" and he of course did not. When I asked my sister and girlfriend to taste it as well, they both agreed it was chicken and salmon combined. I ended up going to the World cafe afterwards. I absolutely plan to revisit The Dreams resort but by no means will I eat in Portofina restaurant. The waiter was truly not very nice and for what could've easily made my night painfully uncomfortable, had I eaten the salmon. The waiter was very indifferent and was more concern about being right. I was visible very upset and very unnerved about the whole situation. But again thank god for the World's cafe.
