The staff at the hotel, with one exception, were all pleasant and helpful. Housekeeping staff was exceptional. They went out of their way to make sure the room was always stocked with towels and neat. Room service and restocking of the minibar however was nonexistent. The beach and ocean was perfect! Amenities were overstated such as room service and the 24 hour availability of snacks and drinks.
We went with another couple to this resort in February 2020. We had an absolute BLAST!! The staff at this resort is indescribably NICE. They are ALWAYS smiling and pleasant. You will not see tip jars anywhere, nor will you see hands out in expectation of tips. They just make you feel welcome. The food was better than we expected. We ate at every restaurant and actually went back to the Italian place THREE times! Do yourself a favor and make sure you try the fish and seafood place down the beach. The Japanese restaurant didn't disappoint either. The Steakhouse surprised us with a quite delicious meal. I honestly don't have one bad comment to make. Some may think the hotel rooms are not "luxurious", but we weren't there for that...we came to relax and relax we did. The rooms are spacious and clean. We didn't spend much time in the room, honestly. On the beach, we never had trouble finding beach chairs. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment and the laid back atmosphere. It's a family friendly resort, but the swim up pool bar is for adults only...a nice touch. The free shuttle to downtown Wilemstaad is also a nice touch. We enjoyed spending an afternoon shopping and sightseeing. I definitely recommend this resort - we would go back!!
The resort is not as new as many but still comfortable size. The room was comfortable except that the shower leaked and flooded the bathroom after evey use and the resort did not address it despite 2 requests. Showers were also not very hot and ran out of hot water fast.
Liquor selection was very poor. Only allowing you to do their drinks.
Casino was lacking in customer care and some preferred games like craps.
The staff was very friendly at the restaurants and bars. The events crew were awesome. The live music was awesome as well.
The hot tub was not hot.
Food: standard buffet for breakfast with some diversity and good quality. Lunch seemed to be more restricted. The dinner options were much better at the other options but the grill took a very very long time to get in and get food. Need more than one cook.
Room service was prompt most of the time but couldn’t do something as simple as replace coffee cups even when asked 2-3 times.
Taxi’s are very expensive and the shuttle times were full 1-2 days in advance and only 2 options for trips to downtown.
Beach was nice, but not enough lounge chairs unless you got there early.
Limited to 1 hour for snorkel rentals per person per day, which can be enough but for others not long enough and they charge more for longer.
This property was absolutely gorgeous! The restaurants were pretty great other than not getting a chance to eat at the japanese restaurant due to not making the reservations days in advance. Steak house was delicious. Drink cups were small so it's a good idea to bring your own Zak or Yeti cup. The rooms needed an update but were comfortable and very clean. Again the this Sunscape's property including the beach and pool areas is absolutely gorgeous and well worth it.

Is Shuttle Service to Willemstad and transfers to the hotel / airport included?9 answers
Hi - I am a bit confused due to the written description of amenities and services that are included: Traveling during the Christmas / New Year week of 2013, are transfers from / to the airport included in the price, or not? What about shuttles to the town of Willemstad - are they included in the price, or an additional charge? There is conflicting information in the amenities description section. Please clarify.

Northern New Jersey
We do offer round trip airport transfers at an additional cost, this price is not included in the package price. Please contact us at 1-800-915-2322 for pricing.
We had transfers included with our all-inclusive. The hotel offers free shuttles --one in the morning and one in the afternoon -- which can be combined for an all day experience.
Hi, airport shuttle included, run by tropical tours.
Although we emailed the hotel to confirm they would be there to pick us up, they were. Worth using the free service as the travel from the airport is ~ 30 mins so would be expensive in a taxi.
Free shuttle to Willemstad twice a day 9.30am - return 1pm and 2pm - return 5pm, Although we used a tax it's only $4 per person each way, so not bad for the luxury fo travelling at a time that suits you better.
Our shuttle was free but I believe after October there is a fee. The shuttle downtown is free.
Yes. This resort uses a co. Called tropical tours and they have free shuttles to and from airport. They also have an excursion desk in the lobby.
Yes, it is included, but make sure you send an e-mail to them prior to your trip. Shuttle bus to downtown can be arranged a day before, sign up at the front. Twice a day to town, 9AM and 2PM. Otherwise, take a bus, $1.50/pp, it is as easy and at anytime you want.
The hotel has complimentary shuttle to and from the airport, as well as into town. Email them about a week ahead of time and give them your flight information. They also have 2 daily shuttles into town. You have to sign up for those a day ahead of time.
the shuttle to & from the airport are not included but recommend pay the extra price because it will cost more for a taxi & they do offer free shuttle to town.
We just picked up a taxi at the airport. There are public "buses" that charge $2.00 to go downtown. Well worth it. Very clean
Is there a discotech or nightlife that's open late?7 answers
6 years, 84 months ago
This resort does not have a disco on property.
The sign on the building that said disco said that it was open from 11 PM to 3 AM however I never saw anyone there. Not in the 6 nights I was there. In general very very few people danced. If you're single looking to meet someone, it probably won't happen here, at least not through dancing.
late bar & music 'Desires club' open until 2am for adults only... quite a small place with pool table, seats & pac man machine!
Open during the day until 11pm for 13 years+ to play pool etc.
Disco/night club only 10 mins walk up the street - turn right outside the hotel
No they have a very small disco place. nothing that is to rave for
Yes. There's a club called Desires that's open every night. They also have music until about 2:00 AM every night and sometimes have beach parties
There isn't a disco or a lot of night life, but there may have been a bar I missed. Twenty or so years ago... I would have been able to answer that question, but I don't seek out the discos anymore. :-)

What are the pool hours?9 answers
6 years, 83 months ago
Please check with the resort directly for the most up-to-date information: email@example.com
pool open until 18:00 each day, not sure what time they open ~ 7am
Pool hours run from morning til around 6pm. Evening becomes a dinner atmosphere and generally the swim suits turn into dinner attire.
They open at 10:00 AM and if I remember correctly close around 8:00 PM.
The pool was open pretty much all day until about 8pm. I think the hours were technically 8am-6pm, but they never kicked anyone out of the pool until around 8 or 9
The pools are open until 6pm. At 6pm, they prepare the area for dining. Most of the restaurants are around the pool area.
Thinked they closed at 6:00 P.M.
10am - 7 pm
Is there any sort of night life? Live music? Dancefloor?9 answers
6 years, 82 months ago
Please contact one of our beach experts at 1-800-915-2322 for more information.
Entertainment team has something planned each night. Live music...DJ... You can dance anywhere and everywhere....pool deck...beach...
Something going on at the resort every night. Dancing in the sand, no dance floor. DJ, Kareoke, dance competitions, etc. The Casino is another option.
Yes, there is live music every night but no dance floor.
I wouldn't say nightlife in the sense of clubs, but there are activities nightly on the resort until about 10pm.
Yes there is always music, live performances, theme nights, bars always serving.
Yes, they have entertainment.
There is no venue other than by the pool. Each night we were there there was music and dancing - good music I thought. Also they brought in folk dancers that were just beautiful. Loved seeing their various native dances. There is a party on the beach once or twice a week - with dancing and live music, too.
There is live music every night & free entertainment. Yes there is room to dance.
What is the cost to rent snorkel gear?7 answers
6 years, 79 months ago
For specific questions regarding pricing for additional amenities at the resort, we do suggest contacting the resort directly as they would be best to assist you. The email address found directly on the resort's website (www.sunscaperesorts.com/curacao/) is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Free, but 1 hour at a time!! We bought our own in town. $50 us gets u snorkel set with flippers
the rental gear was free. get there early, as it's rented out QUICK! they tell you to keep it for only an hour or they'll start calling your room to request it back (why that helps if you're on the beach, i'm unsure...). people keep it all day to ensure they can go when they want, not just in the morning.
They provide the snorkeling gear for free, you do not have to rent it. I suggest bringing your own so you can snorkel as often as you like. You can only use their snorkeling gear an hour at a time.
Free, if staying at the Sunscape
Do not believe there is a charge to rent snorkel gear - however, depends on availability and believe you are limited on the time you can use it. My advice would be to purchase cheap mask and snorkel - fins not required. Don't think the stuff is very expensive and I like to know who was using my equipment before I put it on!
the snorkel gear is for free for one hour, thank's.
What is the email address we use to request transfer from airport to hotel?3 answers
6 years, 78 months ago
You would need to call and speak to an agent who could add the transfers for you. The phone number is 1-800-915-2322
You do not have to notify them in order to receive the airport shuttle to the hotel, the hotel knows the airline arrival times and the shuttle will be waiting at the airport for you. You will need to locate the Sunscape representative and she will check your name off the list at the airport. If you need the hotel email address you can visit their main website it is available there, we emailed several times before arrival and they never respond to emails so it doesn't help.
Cheap Caribbean handled the transfer communications --- Sunscape had the list of travelers at the airport when we arrived... You have to schedule your departure transport with the Sunscape concierge 2 days in advance.
I contacted Mr. K. Klaber via e-mail and he responded within 24 hours:
Transfer van was right on time and not difficult to find - they have your name.
The hotel doesn't provided taxi service. I used www.tiotaxi.com but there are a lot of services you just have to google or you can find one at the airport

All of the restaurants are included & all of them have very good food.
ALL ARE INCLUDED-ALL INCLUSIVE!
All of the on property restaurants were included. They were very nice and very good food. They don't seat very many so you must be early to get a seat though.
All are included, but only the Italian and seafood are good restaurants
all 5 of them are included.
All restaurants are included in this all inclusive resort.
Short answer is "None". But for special "romantic" dinner on the beach with lobster and champagne you have to pay extra, something around $ 100. You have to request this kind of dinner.

does the hotel still offer complimentary shuttle from the airport?5 answers

This resort no longer offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport, however, when booking through CheapCaribbean.com we can arrange transfers for you for $45.00 pp.
No free shuttle. You have to pay for it now. We found out the hard way :(
No, but highly recommend paying for it. We didn't and the taxi service is scary.
as of quite a while ago, no. CheapCaribbean offers this as an add-on-would def. suggest taking advantage. No finding cabs or transport that might be sketchy, no worries about return transport. Arranged for us and they returned to pick up with plenty of time for check-in. Only comment is that service vehicles are old and air cond. doesn't work in most---very warm and humid!

Best Diving Shop or Diving Resort in Curacao4 answers
6 years, 73 months ago
Upon searching the internet, the Curacao Tourism Board's website (https://www.curacao.com/Attractions-and-Restaurants/Diving-Snorkeling/Dive-Operators) included information regarding Dive Operators.
The Sunscape Resort has snorkeling equipment available at no cost. The tour desk can set you up with a Dive Shop/Dive Tour activity.
The dive shop at the Sunscape is run by Ocean Encounters which is a first rate dive operation. They serve the Sunscape and two other resorts - The Lions Dive and Santa Barbara. If I was going just for diving, I might prefer the Santa Barbara because the boat rides are shorter - last pick up and first drop off - you will save 45 minutes of dead time on the dive boat.
Best dive shop we have used. The people are great.
Do men have to wear long pants at dinner10 answers
5 years, 72 months ago
Many of the restaurants have a dress code of "casual elegance" and long pants would be required for men.
They have it in their codes but never saw it enforced. I wore shorts to one of the restaurants that said long pants were needed, but no one said anything to me either. We were there 4/5-4/13/2014.
No, cargo shorts are fine.
We just got back from Sunscape on 6-6-2014. I wore dress shorts every night to dinner along with a collared shirt. We saw men there in more casual clothes as well as dressier clothes. They say there is a dress code but we didn't see anything enforced. I packed two pair of long slacks but never wore them.
Hope this helps.
never required at any of the restraunts, more casual than the sites lead you to believe. saw shorts/tshirts at all restrs.
It is advertised that men wear long pants and closed toes shoes to both upscaled restaurants ( italian and japanese ). I dressed according to their requirements which is not comfortable in 90 degree humid weather and multiple other men dressed in shorts, tee shirts and flip flops. Very few people follow the guideline and I did not see anyone enforcing the requirement.
No. I made my family pack one pants and they only wore them once. They do have a dress code but its not enforced.
The rules "say" you should, but many of the men wore shorts to dinner at all the restaurants, so the rule was not enforced
No need to wear long pants. Dress code is resort casual
Is sunscape currently under renovations? If so for how long?5 answers
5 years, 71 months ago
I did not see any renovations currently active, I was there 4/5-4/13/2014. However, they need to get started as some of the rooms are much older.
I did not notice any renovations occurring when I was there from April 10th-14th 2014.
Yes just few rooms on the West side of the resort but nothing that interrupts the activities or prohibits the use of the restaurants, pools, beach areas, bars, & other activities that are available at the resort.
while we were there, May 12-18, there were renovations ongoing in some of the rooms, but these were not near or inhabited by guests. general property- no renovations going on.
We just came home last night and saw no renovations other than the planting of more palm trees.

and $22.50 per child. This includes roundtrip transport from the airport to the resort and back.
If you have any further questions, please call us at 1.800.915.2322.
No, there used to be but now you have to pay $40 for a one way taxi. If your return the airport is before 8:00am the taxi drivers states they require $50. They also have a shared shuttle but you have to sign up for that in advance.
No. You all need to book a shuttle at extra cost
No. $90. Don't expect customer service. We did not experience any sort of customer service. Just lots of silly rules.

Yes and yes but it takes a long time to arrive, so don't call hungry.

Yes, but the response time is very slow.
Yes. But food overall is sketchy
Room service is included in the price
No room service.
Room service exists and is included in the price, but it is very sub-par. I called my first night and they don't even have a menu. They list the options for you: hamburger, cheese burger, fruit salad, french fries.
The hamburger was very overdone and the french fries were hardened and cold by the time they were brought to my room.
I never did room service again the rest of the time I was there.
The room service was great got breakfast twice which was much better then the buffet, warm. We just tipped our server real good. Yes it is included in the price. Worth it

adults friendly?9 answers
We are thinking of going on as an adult couple. We don't mind kids but would prefer not to go to a hotel overrun with kids. Is there an adult only pool or places where just adults go?
5 years, 67 months ago
I just got back and as someone who traveled with my friends and really does not like kids, I found that they were there in abundance and not ever kept out of the adults-only areas. There is a pool and pool bar labeled adults only but there were definitely children splashing pool water in my pina colada :( Depending on the staff there, they may or may not get the kids to leave when different activities are happening (volleyball, karaoke, etc).
This would not be the resort to go to if you are looking for an adults-only experience. We suggest contacting one of our Beach Experts at 1.800.915.2322 for assistance in finding the perfect resort for your needs.
I just got back from Sunscape. This resort is VERY kid friendly. The adults only policy is not enforced at the resort. And the pool bar was never open. I would not go if you are looking for an adults only environment. You will not find it here.
The resort is not over run with kids, but there are no adult only areas except the casino.
We vacationed as a couple, and didn't find the children a distraction. While the resort is kid-friendly, most of the guests were couples rather than families. We vacationed in October, so I'm not sure if there would be more children/families in the summer months.
There were a good amount of kids at the resort, however they have a kids club for the kids with activities to keep them busy throughout the day. There is the option of Preferred Club rooms, which all rooms are in the last building. The Preferred Club rooms have their own pool, keeping all other hotel guests out of the pool and beach chairs and canopies. However, kids staying with parents in the Preferred Club get to swim in that pool.
The week went there were a lot of kids mostly in the main pool. You can upgrade to the sun club but it is not adults only, there were two or three families with children in the upgraded pool.
The hotel is not overrun with kids. Never had any problems with the children at the resort
No adults only, however the have a kids club; so not many kids

Are reservations required at the restuarants?5 answers
4 years, 60 months ago
Sunscape does not require reservations in advance for restaurants.
No reservations, but it's first come first serve so you could wait a long time for a table. Hibachi is the best!! Get there early!
No not really only at the hibachi restaurant do you need a they reservation because the have set times. At the grill at night when busy did they have a waiting list. Most of the restaurant thought out the day though have no reservations.
No reservations accepted at any of the restaurants. They do have the beepers so you can check in and then go get a drink while you wait.
The only restaurant that needed reservations was the Japenese restaurant. All others were first come first served
I can not eat any food with Gluten so will there be a variety of food for me to eat at each meal5 answers
4 years, 59 months ago
Yes, the resort does offer gluten free items at most restaurants. You can also speak with the concierge upon arrival to go over any dietary needs.
We noted some food choices marked gluten free. Also noted the fish was a 'vegetarian' option. So for strict gluten free diet I would double check.
don't like GLUTEN FREE food
Yes,lots of fruit, vegetables and meat options.
You will be disappointed by the gf bread options. There are your standard options, but the food is not great, even for those who can have gluten. They don’t really accommodate. The menu says things are gf that are not, like crab cakes. When I asked how they make them they said they used wheat flour. Uh, that’s not gf & shouldn’t have the symbol by it. They don’t even know what gluten is. I was told I couldn’t have one entree because it had rice. I can’t recommend this resort to a celiac or a friend!
Are there rooms that can accommodate 2 Adults and 2 teenage children?5 answers
My husband and I are planning a trip with our teenage daughters, ages 14 and 15. Due to their ages they are not considered children as far as hotel rooms but they are not adults either....How can we find a room that will allow us all to be together. They are not old enough to have their own room. How are families with teens accommodated ?
4 years, 59 months ago
Unfortunately, this resort would not be able to accommodate your family in 1 room, and 2 rooms would be required. We would be happy to assist you in planning your vacation. Please contact one of our Beach Experts at 800-915-2322.
One room with 2 double beds. Will get a little crowed but how long are you in the room?
hello, you can ask for connection room :-)
you can ask for connection room,or they can sleep with parents in one room too.
Our room had 2 beds and 2 teens can sleep together. If you are wanting privacy and want your own room you could book 2 rooms and have your husband be on one room with one teen and you on the other so you can reserve 2 rooms. We did this when we booked our rooms. we booked one room under our 21 yo name and but 2 teens with her and the other under my name and had the other teen with us (3 per room), but had all 4 kids (15-21) stay in one room and the parents had their own room. Hope this helps.

Is there a map of the resort?5 answers
Some of the rooms are only available in certain buildings (such as Royal Tower, Seagull and Pelican wings), but it's impossible to tell where in the resort these rooms/buildings are.
4 years, 55 months ago
Cheapcaribbean does not have resort maps. Google search for "Sunscape Curacao resort map" and then select "images" as search function.
Yes, in the hotel website. The map makes the resort look huge but it is very small with all buildings squished together.
hello,you don't need map,it's small resort,you can find everything right away :-)
yes and it is very well mapped out
No they would just tell you where to go but if I were u would stay on the tower site is close to the lobby bars and restaurants
Is the beach decent? As in, are there seaweed, should I wear water shoes, is it rocky?10 answers
4 years, 53 months ago
The beach at Grand Oasis Cancun was crystal clear. Some seaweed because of the rain but not too crazy.
The seaweed is daily, some days less than others. There are rocks in the water so be careful if you go in. We would have liked to go kayaking. If there is still seaweed, take a trip to the Mayan ruins, definitely worth it. Beach area is small.
You will want water shoes if you are going to be in the beach. Seaweed and rocks out there.
Yes, there was a lot of seaweed. I can't truly answer if the water was rocky because I wouldn't go into the seaweed infested waters, however, when I walked on the sand and peered into the water, it did seem like it was rocky.
no seaweed - there is a "rock wall" that separates the open see from the beach - it also benefits the swimming area from reduced waves and currents making it a perfect "swimming pool" almost with all of the benefits of the pure ocean :)
Beach is very nice. Wear water shoes because it's a bit rocky. No seaweed.
The beach is a little rocky when you first go in, but then you hit sand. Water shoes would be helpful, but you an manage without them. No seaweed. There is a bit of a drop off, but the beach is protected against waves by a rock wall. It is fantastic for snorkeling, so bring your underwater camera!
the beach is little rocky, the water in the ocean is crystal clear-dream for snorkeling straight from the beach chair :-)
The left side of the beach is not rocky, the right side has a lot of coral chunks; shoes needed
Definitely need water shoes/rough in places
The beach was wonderful. Water was very clear and there was no seaweed. There are a few rocky areas, but there were also spots that had no rocks. We didn’t take water shoes and saw very few guests wearing them.
Is there a scuba shop on site? Are there group rates? Scuba packages?5 answers
4 years, 51 months ago
The resort does offer Scuba diving for an additional amount. As the rates are offered at the resort and may change at any time, please check with the resort directly for the most up to date information regarding Scuba diving. Their international phone number is: 599 9 736 7888.
yes. Excellent dive company. My wife did a wreck dive and wall dive .There was a group of about 60 divers staying at the resort from .world wide organization. They have night dives and a photography company that is available...
yes, yes and yes!
Yes, there is a scuba shop on site. I am unsure of the prices. But it's right next to the Core Zone/Sports Bar. Snorkeling, Kayaking and Paddle Boarding were free for an hour daily.
Yes to all 3 questions.
The dive crew are all great. They go out of their way to make sure your experience is a great one.
Are there any room that would accommodate a family of 5?5 answers
3 years, 47 months ago
The most is 4 with 2 adults and 2 children. If you have any further questions or need help booking, please call and speak to one of our Beachologists at 1-800-915-2322.
The older building I think its building #2, has bigger room layouts, enough to add a cot if needed even with double beds
We had 2 queen beads & they can put another bed in the room. They also have adjoining rooms.
From what I’ve seen, yes but they tend to be more pricey
Many of the rooms are quipped with two queen beds, and there would be adequate room to add a roll-out bed for the 5th person.

If we buy all-inclusive does this hotel provide airport transfers?5 answers
If there is airport transfers how would we set that up?
3 years, 37 months ago
All-Inclusive pertains to the food and beverage portion, transfers are available for an additional cost and can be added at the time of booking or up until 48 hours prior to departure on an existing reservation
you can book the transfers through cheap Caribbean, if you already booked and paid for you trip you can give them a call and add on the transfers and pay for it and they will send you an updated confirmation email which provides the transfers and directions to confirm the returning transfer from the hotel to the airport.
There is no provided transportation by the resort. There is a company "Scooby Tours" that you can arrange for airport transportation with, which will cost you about $50 p/p...or there are plenty of cabs outside of the airport that you can catch for $40. We found the cab to be easier, because with Scooby Tours, they put you all with people from your flight, but other people are staying at other resorts, so you have to stop to drop them off...From what I heard from other people who used them, there were 2 stops before Sunscape.
Set it up through Cheap Caribbean and their local partners will provide.
Complimentary shuttle bus5 answers
Is there a complimentary shuttle bus from and to the airport
2 years, 35 months ago
Unfortunately transportation is not include, however this can be added for an additional cost either at the time of booking or up until 48 hours prior to travel on an existing reservation.
Yes, the bus goes into town twice a day. But there's also a public bus stop directly in front of the building, providing a very inexpensive alternative allowing for a greater degree of flexibility. The resort staff are friendly and can help explain your options.
No but you can get a taxi to and from the airport
No, they don't. I didn't check in advance so i took a cab from the airport to the hotel ($40 for 2) but i was hoping there was one available through the hotel for my departure. They don't have one but there are taxis at the front that they can request for you. We met with another couple that was also going to the airport so we discussed the price before leaving and we paid a total of $40 for 4 adults.
Rooms occupans5 answers
Do you have ocean view rooms for 2 adults. All your rooms advertised whether is be ocean view, or garden view all say 3 to 4 adults. Where are the rooms for 2 adults and what is the cost?
2 years, 35 months ago
What your are seeing is the maximum occupancy for the room category. Two adults can go into any room category. Please contact a sales agent at 1-800-915-2322 for pricing.
In building 8, the rooms directly facing the ocean are 8101, 8201 and 8301. Many of the rooms in this building have ocean views.
If you want for 2 adults request a king size bed same room same price
Hello, they do have ocean view rooms. I stayed in the Flamingo building room 8318 and it has a great ocean view (king size bed).
They do accommodate only two with king size bed options which must be selected during your booking and there is normally an increased cost
Sun Club Upgrade5 answers
Does the Sun Club Upgrade get you complimentary WiFi and can the concierge secure seating in the a la carte restaurants?
2 years, 34 months ago
It does not. For the seating, please check with the resort. If you have any further questions, you may contact the resort directly or call and speak to one of our Beachologists at 1-800-915-2322.
Sun Club will get you fairly ok wifi on most of the resort. It is a per device code though so make sure to ask for multiple if you have more than one device. The wifi is around the two bar mark most of the time and doesn't cover everywhere but it's s vacation for a reason. The concierge can get you reservations at the a la carte places but for hibachi you need to go to the regular concierge and go early.
SunClub does include WiFI but it was still slow- 1 password per device and only allowed 2 devices. Not sure about securing seats at A la carte restaurants but was never an issue.
Able to add included honeymoon package option? Or have to do it through resort directly?3 answers
booking through the resort website directly it gives the opportunity to add an included honeymoon package as long as the minimum room requirements are met. I don't see any options for that when booking through cheap Caribbean. Is there a way to add this on this site?
2 years, 34 months ago
Cheapcaribbean can only send a request to resort mentioning you are celebrating honeymoon. The resort offers these amenities complimentary for honeymoon/wedding anniversaries:
Plate of tropical fruit
Bottle of champagne
Romantic dinner in an a la carte restaurant
When bookings on CheapCaribbean you can call to book and let the booking agent know that you would like a package or inform them as to what you may be celebrating and they will inform the hotel as well as provide you with additional booking options.
Don’t even think about spending such an important time at this place. You may leave divorced! You won’t even be able to enjoy a meal or a drink.
Do not go there! Look elsewhere. Mexico perhaps. They understand customer service.
You can call the site and they help as much as thy can. When you arrive there is a sun club that help you with that also
Will we need to bring voltage adapters for the rooms ?5 answers
2 years, 32 months ago
Yes. They had a couple of plugs that worked for US electronics and hairdryers, but they were located in weird places. There was not a US style outlet in the bathroom, so I had to dry my hair next to the closet.
The Sunscape has American outlets and European outlets. I bring a power strip with me and use it to charge our devices.
If you have the European plug you will.
We recommend bringing an adapter as not all of the outlets are standard US.
Hotel safety and security8 answers
We are in the process of picking a location for our destination wedding! Many of our family members are nervous about travelling to a foreign country with their children due to concerns about safety. How is this resort with security?
2 years, 29 months ago
I did not see a lot of security in this resort. There is a casino right at the resort and anyone can go into the casino, which connects to the resort. The night I went there was no security at the door leading to the resort, so anyone from the outside could've gone right into the resort. But Curacao in itself seemed to be a pretty safe place to be at.
We felt very safe and the staff always made sure we were the guest of the hotel.
We just returned from Curacao and we saw no security issues any where. There were lots of children. They loved the beach & pools at Sunscape.
There is security on site, and the kids are watched closely when they are with the explorers club/kids club. The island has an exceptionally low crime rate so I wasn't really concerned about safety
Excellent security at the hotel. The town is safe also. People are friendly, helpful, and are happy. We use the bus system a lot ( they’re minivans). One of the safest islands and resort we’ve been to and will be going again.
Great security. No concerns or worries. We traveled with 2 small children. It is nice because you do not have to worry about drinking the water in Curacao. Great kids club....not the wrong choice at this resort.
Ok. There were some taking place while we were there. It's very hot and humid during the day but usually cooled off at night!
We saw several security employees on the premises. The entrance to the resort has a guard house. We felt very safe during our stay. We even walked about a mile to a super market. We never felt unsafe or apprehensive.

What We'd Change
The shore is close to the hotel, so you won't take long walks through the sand to get to the ocean. But if taking long walks on the beach is your thing, you can always walk along the shoreline.
Why You Should Go
It's just 10 miles away from the airport. Woot!

The island is outside of the hurricane belt, so it's good to visit year-round.
It's two miles away from Willemstad, where you can enjoy world-class shopping along with historic sightseeing (if you're into that kind of thing).
Golf is available at the nearby Blue Bay Golf Course and there are two lit tennis courts.
