Inspired by Jimmy Buffett's laid-back thirst for life, this resort sets the bar high for the ultimate beachcation. Flip-flops are a must and margaritas before noon are encouraged. But it's the charm of Grand Cayman that will warm your soul. Warm ocean breezes rule here, especially with year-round temps ranging from 77 - 85 degrees. The resort is on a private cove at the beginning of the Seven Mile Beach. Grab your flip-flops, it's the shoe of choice for this vacay, and plan on diggin' your toes in the sand and livin' on island time.

Resort for the calm.and retired
On my vacation i found 4 staff memebers to be the friendliest , iam in the age range of early 30's and this resort offers no turn up at all . American money loses value here . Its a nice hotel if youre not looking for much of a turn up . Hardly any entertainment and the help desk was uninthuised with assisting us with finding somewhere to have fun.. also house keeping leaves a card to let you know your bed will be changed every 2 days unless requested.
We chose this resort for a few reasons: we heard Grand Cayman was amazing, and the price could not be beat. For a honeymoon like this was for us, I highly recommend this resort and destination! Beautiful island, fantastic food, the friendliest of locals you'll ever meet, and a wonderful snorkeling/diving location! Please give this place a chance! You won't regret it!
Overall the resort was nice and I was able to relax and enjoy the beach but there was no mention prior to my arrival that their restaurants were closed due to remodeling which was disappointing.
I did try the 5 O'clock bar and grill twice. The first time was during the afternoon and the food was great but two days later I tried them again but this time it was in the evening. I tried their Calamari dish and it had zero flavor and it was very chewy...clearly it is not a dish they know how to prepare. My brother tried a chicken dish and he said it was tough and didn't taste good at all so eat there during the evening at your own risk.
Another thing to mention is that the bathrooms in the rooms, although nice, do not have locks on the door and are similar to shutters (not solid doors) so there is a big privacy issue.
The bars were very limited on beer and the staff kept using same excuse each day.....they had a large crowd days prior. You would think they would quickly restock as soon as possible considering they charge around $7.00US dollars each beer but no luck with that so I had to go to the liquor store nereby and buy my own beer which was in bottles, cold and cheaper.
Finally, each of the bars had multiple TV's but every one of them only played the resorts infamercials over and over again. This is NOT what you want to experience when on vacation.
So why would I recommend this resort?
the resort was clean, they took care of the grounds, the staff was friendly and helpful and the beach was private and very nice.
I am confident that once they finish with their remodleing of their restaraunts it will be a great place to revisit.
Before coming to this trip i was very excited. We stayed 4 nights 5 days.
here were the pros and cons:
Pros:
-amazing private beach in the back of the resort. we enjoyed laying out on the beach chairs. very calming.
- the pools were very nice as well. i loved the fact that there was a swim up bar.
-Janitorial Staff was amazing. We had Hazel and she was a sweetheart.
Cons:
-some of the staff here were very rude. i ordered a drink and the guy just looked at me without a smile. he was not very welcoming. this went on for the remaining days i was here.
-we spent a lot of money on dinner at Yara's and they "forgot to put in our order" an hour later..... they offered us complimentary drinks and only allowed 4 us to get a drink when we 5 people. She told the 5th person "not you" only them.. this was so rude. The worst part is that no matter how bad they were our bill included "a tip" 15%... They did not work for that tip. If it were up to me i would have preffered to remove the tip than receive a free drink. but that wasnt an option given. Personally i would not recommend this place to my friends.
Overall the caymans was amazing outside the resort. we swam with the stingray, held starfishs, and snorkled. we really enojyed that.

The stunning Seven Mile Beach is your backyard
StevieCC
It is open, and at the bottom of 7 mile beach. A short walk 5 min or less gets you great beach access. This resort has a small man made cove for swimming, great for kids.

resort is on Seven Mile beach and yes, it is on the beach. It appeared to be private to the resort and the neighboring condos.

Please contact the resort for pricing on food and drinks
StevieCC
Food is expensive, plus the currency conversion isn't favorable but dinner and a drink for two is about 50-70 dollars.
Try Brooklyn's restaurant in Camana Bay, the food is fantastic and cheaper than many other options.

Food is overall a bit expensive but try Brooklyn's restaurant in Camana Bay. A short walk (about 15 min) but the food is fantastic.

I did not see any water sport activities at our hotel. Down the beach, there is a Red Sail shop that rents several water sport things.
