Great Vacation

My family and i were at the RIU for 5 days and 4 nights. We all really enjoyed our stay at the resort. All of the workers there were awesome.....all of them. They were extremely helpful when we had questions on anything. I have stayed at 4 or 5 all inclusives and I usually get tired of the food by the 3rd day but this food was was excellent. You would be extremely satisfied with the buffett each day.....great food quality and variety for all. We went to the steak house one night. The food was great but it took a bit long for our food to get to us....but it was worth it. The beach was great. There were some locals trying to get you to buy things but I thought it was fun watching them do their thing and they were fun about it as well. The swim up pool overlooking the ocean is beautiful. The evening entertainment was OK.....not spectacular but it was entertaining.... and the DJ later on does a nice job with the music. I have been to Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Cayman Islands, and the Bahamas.....and by far have felt the safest going off the resort at the RIU in Nassau. My family and i walked around and felt as safe as we do in our home town. The local people are very friendly and were a blast to talk with...... and if you get a chance to go to Senor Frogs,,,,go. It is a party all day and all night. I would highly recommend the RIU resort in Nassau to anyone. I would go back there for sure.

Bahamas Girlstrip

My Girls and I had a Blast. Was worried about the flight, check-in, and amenities because of the third party business, but this was more than I could’ve expected. The resort had everything we needed. And everyone was so helpful. Everything was wonderful, service, flight, and all amenities promised and extra that were unexpected. Thanks and I would use your service again.

Good Value, Relaxing Trip

I came in mid June with a friend for a girls getaway and was pretty put off by a lot of the recent reviews and a little hesitant before our trip that it was going to be a bust.. a lot of the reviews are accurate to a point, but it's all about what your expectations are. It's not a 5 star resort - so you can't really expect everything to be 5 stars, which we didn't, and we had a great time. It's a small resort but convenient and had everything we needed. The comments are true about the restaurants - it sucks that they don't have reservations, and groups of more than 4 that we met basically found it impossible to get into the restaurants unless they split up their parties. We got into the restaurants 4 out of 5 nights we were there (went down around 7-8pm) - they give you a buzzer and as long as you stay on the grounds you can grab a drink and sit outside while you wait. We waited anywhere from 20-60 minutes. The food in the restaurants was good and they keep your wine and drinks flowing. We ate at every one but the steakhouse - which was so hard to get into, but heard it was horrible - so I'd probably skip it, and wasn't that bummed we couldn't get in. If you have a couple of people, put your name at 2 restaurants, get 2 buzzers, and then give your other buzzer to a sad looking crew who is turned away to make their night. It's annoying but not that big of a deal. Jerk chicken station was bomb - ate it every day for lunch, it's super fresh. The buffet we only had for breakfast and it had every option you could imagine, but wasn't as good for lunch or dinner. If I would have had to eat the buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner the whole trip I would have starved. I'd recommend only eating things that look like they are just put out as a lot of stuff sits under the heat lamps and some people do tend to grab things with their hands - gross. The comments about the beach vendors are also true but that's literally at almost every beach at a tourist destination - just tell them no, or ignore them - and they will eventually leave you alone. The beach is beautiful and the water is crystal clear, and calm enough to take floats into. You want chairs in a good spot - go down at 8 am and grab them yourself or ask one of the workers to help you and give them a few bucks. Our room was mopped and cleaned daily - only complaint is that it was hard to get anything aside from beer (which we don't drink) like champagne or wine in the room, and they didn't really have bottled water at the resort outside of the rooms (although filtered). Room service food was not good but it's basically cheap bar food that we ate after a ton of drinks so it didn't matter much! Calypso bar is fun, get the espresso martinis! Infinity pool was a lot of fun and had great in-water loungers - a couple of days they do have really loud music which was super obnoxious, but they would turn it down if people asked. Service at pool bars was good - bring your own cups and they will fill them, and order a dirty banana frozen drink! Overall I'd totally go to this resort again. It was a good value and as long as your expectations aren't 5 star everything - you will be fine.

What's to Love

No reservations needed at any of the restaurants.

Primo beachfront locale - three miles of satiny sand hugged by luscious, aquamarine water.

The Renova Spa - the massages squeeze the stress right out of your bod.

The rockin' theme nights twice a week - get ready to kick it. Put on your party pants.

Krystal Fusion Restaurant - it's a journey into the unexplored terrain of epic new sensations.

The unfailing, beachtastic service & attention. You'll feel like the beach royalty that you are.

Did we mention this resort has the only infinity pool in all of Nassau/Paradise Island?

What We'd Change

You may not find as many on-site activities like the other mega resorts, but the prime beachfront property makes up for it.

Why You Should Go

There's a hoppin', Vegas-style casino next door - grab sweet Lady Luck and try your hand.

The water sports (jet skis, water skiing & more) will blow you out of the water. Hang on!

You can dive into aahh-mazing excursions like swimming with the dolphins.

Atlantis next door has a great nightclub when you want to get your dance on.

The inventive entertainment staff is off-the-charts creative. They won't disappoint.

You're close to downtown Nassau - see the old quarter, museums, zoo and botanical gardens.
