Our best vacation ever

We both loved the resort it was very nice and clean . The food was good but one thing they can change is in the Buffett to have more healthy options because a lot of things were fried food and very fatty otherwise was good. Also the steak restaurant is NOT included and you have to pay for that one. Also the Mexican restaurant which i believe was called lime something the food there was not that great. Only the nachos were god and the salsa. The meat my boyfriend ordered was hard to chew very rubberish. The margaritas were good though . The best place was the Italian one and the Asian restaurant which had a hibachi . Sushi was great too. If you’re a cat lover the you’ll be happy to see the stray cats at night they are so cute . They come around outside to say hello. Also there’s a lot of construction going to but that didn’t stop us from having fun and every room is facing the ocean so you wake up with a great view! Worth the price and stay . For what we paid this resort probably cost a lot more . The service was also great and everyone takes care of you. Don’t need to tip everyone it is included for the waitress but it’s nice to tip bar tenders or the shuttles . Also there is a guy who’s sells coconuts down the beach key an eye for him. It’s 15$ per coconut and he hooks you up with strong rum . Be aware of the vendors on the beach on resort they are very pushy. They are not part of resort so they tend to try to make business with tourist . I say book excursions inside your resort there is a excursion person to book any adventures. Loved the food and the place, definitely would go back! We were there second week of October and it was nice . Highly recommend .

Very relaxing & Overall Awesome

Me and my boyfriend stayed here and really enjoyed ourselves! The all inclusive package is the best way to go, the drinks were amazing and strong!! The food was good/decent but we got tired of the same thing for a week but all he restaurants were good! I loved the Asian place and their sushi was amazing, we ate there 2 of the 7 nights we were there! The beach was clean and pretty, we took the glass bottom boat tour and snorkeled and it was super fun and cool! Overall we liked this place and would recommend it!

First Time All Inclusive Vacationer

This was our very first time at an all inclusive resort. The hotel was nice but could use a little updating/refreshing. Food was good at the restaurants. The Market Place was really good. The service was excellent. Overall it was a good experience.

A decent all inclusive for families on a budget

Melia is a good all inclusive option for families in an expensive country such as The Bahamas. It's only about 15 mins from the airport, there are nice little local shops immediately across the street if you want to do some tourist shopping, the city busy stops just outside of the hotel if you want to explore Nassau downtown to eat at the Fish Fry, and the beach is beautiful white sands with clear blue water. We saw many, many families with young children and several pregnant couples on a babymoon. The young children didn't really bother us, and we always found a chair by the pool or beach (note: October is their off season, so I cannot say if this would be the same during a peak tourist month). That being said, there are some things I wish we'd known more about beforehand such as: The food options are not great. Each menu had 4-5 very basic and bland items that were part of the all inclusive package, and then a list of more local cuisine and more complex dishes that were not included (and pretty expensive). We actually liked the beach grill food better than any of the restaurants or buffet. Try the conch salad ceviche! Top shelf liquor not included in the package was pretty much any known brand you can think of (Jose Cuervo, Jim Beam, Belvedere, Captain Morgan's, Jack Daniels). What's included is a bunch of generic rum, vodka, whiskey, and tequila that I'd never heard of. The only beer they have is a local Bahamian beer called Kalik, which is a pilsner and pretty good. This is an older hotel (built in the 1970s), and they are currently undergoing renovations. For our stay (Oct 2018), this meant one of the three pools was closed completely. There was banging/hammering and construction noise each day, but this was not at night when you'd be sleeping. The spa was completely closed due to the renovations. If you like to get a massage when on vacation, you can catch the free shuttle to the very expensive Baha Mar Hotel's Espa (ex: $260USD for a 60 min massage).

What We'd Change
