The Perfect Vacation

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Breezes for a week in September and it was the perfect vacation! We are a young couple and traveling on a budget, so the Breezes all-inclusive option was perfect for us! The meals were amazing, Corn Fritters were to die for! The staff, especially the entertainment staff, were very friendly and made sure we were never bored. The beach was like nothing i had seen before. After being a frequent visitor to Cancun, Mexico, the beach and waters were much more calm in comparison. We also enjoyed being next to the Baha Mar Mega Hotel and Casino and being able to explore their beautiful amenities while staying budget friendly. We chose the Powerboat Adventure as our excursion and was totally worth the hour power boat ride to the private island! I highly recommend the Breezes for anyone looking for best budget-friendly value. It was a trip we will never forget.

LOVE Breezes Bahamas

Last month, my hubby and I (Bruce and Diane from Indiana) spent 8 wonderfully restful days at Breezes Bahamas on Cable Beach in Nassau. It was our 5th time there in 13 years. We go to Breezes to wrap ourselves in the warm embrace of the Bahamian staff-like-family there, and to totally take a break from the every-day, and bigger, stressors of our lives. This most recent visit did not disappoint! From the minute we got there, our Bahamian friends made sure we had everything we needed to totally enjoy ourselves and take a break from reality. Once checked in, we got reacquainted with the staff we hadn’t seen in a couple of years…. Kim in weddings, Rico (now in water sports and grounds), Larry and Jerry in entertainment, and the vacation began! One of our most favorite things to do at Breezes is to dance to Funky D and the Summer Breeze Band most nights, but they were on a (much deserved!) 2- week break, so we got to experience the variety of other quality bands and acts during David’s hiatus. We also got to thoroughly enjoy our old friends who play piano at the piano bar at night, Dwight, and especially the uber-talented, Holston! The crowd at the piano bar was rowdier than we had ever seen before, but the laughter and spirits were plentiful, and we all had a wonderful time! The biggest highlight of the trip this time was the way Chef Cedric and the kitchen staff took care of us food-wise! We are older folks and are on restricted diets, so one of the first stops when arriving at the resort was to check in with the head chefs in the kitchen and talk to them about our options. Every day and night, in every eating option (in one of 3 terrific restaurants or in the many buffets throughout the day and night), the kitchen staff created wonderfully delicious meals for us that were out of this world!! AND, for the first time in the all the times we’ve been to Breezes, there were even veggie burgers at the pool grill!!! What a treat! Hurricane Dorian struck two neighboring islands (100 miles away) the week before we got there, but luckily, Breezes only suffered wind and flooding during the storm. The resort had, however, taken in several hundred displaced Bahamians after the hurricane, and we were able to interact with some of them. We had also taken down with us some relief supplies (toiletries and such), which Breezes channeled to the proper local organizations for us. The staff at the resort must have been affected deeply by this natural disaster, which displaced ¼ of the country’s population we heard, but they made sure the resort guests still felt pampered and well taken care of. So, to our Bahamian family at Breezes Bahamas, THANK YOU for giving us just what we needed after a rough two years. We may just be 2 older folks in the thousands you serve yearly, but for US, you are our Bahamian family!! Hope to see you SOON! PS - THANKS to Doug Oppelt at Cheap Caribbean for helping us book the best deal and flights ever!

Great Getaway

We had a nice relaxing time while staying at Breezes last week. The resort is kept very clean and upkept. The decor/rooms are pretty standard-no extras, but again, kept very well. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We did not have to fight for chairs or spots at restaurants. Of course, we were there during hurricane season. The only downfall to our trip was the water was too choppy most of the time to snorkel or anything like that. But we still had a great time regardless and got plenty of sun!

First Time in Nassau

This is our first time in the Bahamas. We wanted to try out the capital which seemed to be the best choice at first. The resort is very conveniently located near the airport. I highly recommend taking a taxi and saving some money then booking a private transfer. Check in process was simple and easy. We arrived early and was allowed to check in prior to 3pm. The resort is smaller than many the we have traveled to but did have many amenities. It is to the right of Nassau’s Las Vegas style resort known as Baha mar. Although as a guest of the breezes resort you don’t have all inclusive rights shared but they allow the public to enter the casino, restaurants, and bar areas. The room we stayed in was a basic room no view but had a king size bed. The room was very clean, had decent water pressure, and a.c. was always cold. We didn’t have a coffee maker or mini fridge in our room which was a little frustrating because the resort did not provide bottled water. In order for you to get water make sure you bring a container of some sorts preferably insulated because there is no ice machines on any of the floors. The food at the resort was surprisingly good. We had breakfast and lunch at the buffet and there where plenty of items to choose from. We only had a chance to try one of the a la Carte restaurants which was the Asian style and it was great. A la carte restaurants are a first come first serve basis no reservation needed which was really cool. The drinks at the bars where normal. They have domestic beer, popular frozen drinks, and popular cocktails. Don’t expect the most premium liquor because the most they had was Jack, dewars, and Bacardi. I really like the resort because of how easy it was to travel into downtown Nassau for sightseeing and food. The famous fish fry area is only 7 min away and downtown is 12 min. Don’t be shy take their local bus transportation. It’s 1.25 per person and you pay when you exit. If your looking for activities there are plenty to do at the resort. They have a daily schedule that consist of a lot of fun activities poolside and around the resort. There is a small gym located near the main lobby. The game room is also located there with board games, pool tables, and ping pong. All of that included. They also have non motorized water sports near the main pool. If you want to jet ski it’s along the beach but not apart of the resort. It’s a bit pricey but the water is beautiful. Overall the resort could improve on certain things but for the price point you do get a lot for what you pay for. I recommend this resort to couples and those looking for a more chill vibe. It’s more geared towards the older crowd.

Hotel Description

Breezes Bahamas: Cable Beach, Circus Fun and Climbing Wall

If Caribbean breezes are calling your name, answer them at Breezes Bahamas, a resort with Bahamian charm, three pools, a famous beach and an awesome circus trapeze that brings a touch of the unexpected to paradise.

This Breezes resort in the Bahamas is a Nassau gem thanks to Cable Beach, where the sugar-white sand and calm, azure waters satisfy your inner beach bum. Pull up a chaise lounge, take a deep breath and let the waves erase your cares. When you need a break from tanning, slip into one of three beautiful pools or a bubbling Jacuzzi. Between the main area, misting pool and "Sip and Dip" pool, there's one that suits your style.

Dinner keeps your taste buds partying when you choose the outside tables at Garden of Eden. Dig into an Adam's Rib or Eve's Secret to find a bit of themed culinary heaven. For lighter fare, the Main Dining Room features a casual buffet while the Pool Grill offers snacks under the palms.

Looking for high octane activity? Sign up for free windsurfing lessons or test your skills on the 30-foot climbing tower. There's also kayaking, sailing, tennis and basketball. For three-ring fun, take advantage of the free lessons at the resort's circus trapeze. Or, if activity after dark sounds fun, keep on swinging at the resort. Order a martini at the Piano Bar, or head to Hurricane Disco, where on Wednesdays the smell of roast pig and the beat of steel drums lure you to an unplugged evening of Caribbean fun. On Tuesdays, make sure you bring your best jammies, because the disco features a rockin' Pajama Party.

Breezes Bahamas makes a great base for exploring Nassau. Start with a close-up look at sharks and manta rays at The Atlantis Aquarium. Or go for a hike at the Queens Staircase, where the lush gardens and limestone stairs take you back to the 18th century. For the treasure hunter, Nassau's duty-free shops offer one-of-a-kind cultural crafts.
