Don’t waste your money

We were offered amenities no longer available due to the hurricane 2 years ago thy all other resorts have come back from. There is no swim up bar, room smelled like mold we had to keep a dehumidifier running, all the games were damaged. Resort was packed from cruise lines then when the cruise lines left at 4 pm it was my husband and I and maybe 4 other couples. No entertainment after 5pm. Staff was extremely rude minus 3 people ( thank you lily B and Kyle!!). The only nice thing I have to say is the beach was nice. We were told that the resort was bought out by the cruise lines so likely they will not be repairing anything. Save yourself the hassle.

Nice place

Nice place, could use many updates. Beach was awsome! Bars, not so much. Food and drink service was just ok. Place is nice but run down. Room was excellent though! Clean and super comfortable. Food was pretty good. Even though it's all inclusive you had to sign receipts for everything! From meals to beer or cokes etc. Shopping at marketplace was close and safe. Main resort (grand lucayan) next door has been closed down since a hurricane, and it's like a ghost town. It was a nice time, but I wouldn't go there again.

Nice place

Cannot wait for the Resort to Fully Open

Let me preface this review by saying that I will go and stay again.....Now, seeing 1/3 of the resort abandoned was sad. I stayed at what was eventually "Memories" in 1997 and stayed at the Grand Lucayan (big hotel) in 2015. The non all-inclusive package when the larger part of the resort was up and running and had a lot of action. The staff at Lighthouse Pointe was better/nicer and much more accommodating than that at the Grand Lucayan. Our initial room had odors from the new carpet being installed, a dead battery in the safe and a broken chair on the balcony.....we asked for a different room and were upgraded right away. There were no staff renting "non-motorized" water sports while we were there, but it was also very windy during our stay. The food at the resort left a lot to be desired, but it is quite a deal as part of the all inclusive package. If you're looking for a nice quiet, relaxing few days on the beach - this is the place for you.....It was breezy and a bit chilly, for a bit we were the only people on the beach, but the staff made sure we had a drink in our hands and access to grilled snacks no matter what. Please go and support the locals in Freeport, both in the resort and in the area. Such a friendly place to be and every time I've visited I always feel safe!!!

Terrible! Worst vacation ever!

Our recent trip to Lighthouse Pointe was a huge disappointment. There were so many negatives that i cant list them all but i will list the big ones. It started with our first room. When we walked in the room smelled strongly of mold and there was a dehumidifier going. The mold smell was so strong we couldn't even stay in there and had to ask for another room. The 2nd room also had a dehumidifier going leading me to believe they are in all or most rooms, concerning. I've had a massive sinus infection since getting home and i suspect it is related. Moving on to the food. We were all inclusive so food was part of the package. They have 1 buffet, a beach grill and a small restaurant. It was not great, and there was very little variety per meal at the buffet and the restaurant had the same menu our whole stay with a choice of 3 apps 3 main courses 2 deserts (one which they were out of the 2 times i asked) and a couple of Pizza's. The pizza was the best thing there. Drinks were also included in the package at the 2 bars and the restaurants. My husband and i decided to have a few drinks at the lobby bar one night and found the bartender very rude. He had basketball on both of the TV's and we asked him to change the channel on one, he simply said No and walked away from us... Most of the staff was that way. Rude, exasperated like we were putting them out asking for something. One of the biggest issues with the food and drink package was the signing... for everything. Every drink or snack you have to sign a slip. Not sure if they have a theft issue but its annoying. Last lets talk about the hotel itself. Its not in great shape. One of the elevators was broken the whole time we were there, the hot tub was busted our whole stay and the only pool that was heated was the lap pool which was a mess and unattended. I'm really disappointing by this trip. The pics of the hotel make it look much bigger and nicer then it really is. I recommend you choose another place.
