Starfish jolly resort Antigua

Not real impressed with this resort I'm afraid! The beach was amazing and I could take the small room also but the rudeness of the woman servers there was very hard to handle! So much attitude ! The swim up bar was just dull and most of the time closed! We've been to so many resorts that we've had a blast at in the pool area and the bars but not this resort!! Even when we tipped big it made no difference ! Donot expect good service because it's not going to happen! No communication at all! Your on your own! We will never return!

5 star staff, 3 star resort

The staff was amazing! They are so sweet, fun, helpful, and full of that amazing Island energy!! The beach was also amazing. The island itself is truly one of the most beautiful islands we’ve gone too. We’re not pool people so no comment on that but they did look rusted and slacking people in it. The food sucked. My boyfriend is not a picky eater and he didn’t like almost all of it. Lydia’s restaurant had a good brunch on Sunday but besides that it was awful. I actually got sick one night, which is rare for me. The room is basic, which is fine and expected but I found almost 10 red spiders in the bathroom! We expected bugs but that seemed like a gross amount to us! We were in room 1008. However, the view and location were perfect! We were away from the pools and entertainment area so it was quiet and 30 second walk from what I feel is the best part of the beach!

Wonderful Experience

Just like any resort, this place has it's ups and downs but plenty more ups. Pros: -best beach I have ever seen (and I been to a fair amount in the Caribbean). If you want a wide, long stretch of white sand and crystal blue waters this is the place to go to. It almost looked fake it was so nice. -everyone there genuinely wants you to have a good time. Of course there are some that aren't as talkative and friendly but I would say 95% are. The night entertainment is great -food is pretty decent for a "3 star" -a lot of cabanas on the beach Cons: -The dinner reservation setup is a little funky. To eat at an A la carte restaurant, you have to set the reservation the day before or you cant eat there. Reservations start at 4pm and you are usually enjoying your time at the beach so its somewhat inconvenient. If you miss out then you have to eat at the buffet (which isn't bad either). Once you figure out the system though it's not a big deal. -rooms are little outdated but with this said it did not bother my fiance or I at all. We only came there to sleep and clean up. Anyways, if you are here to enjoy an amazing beach and drink and eat good food around a fun environment, this place is for you. If you are the type to play on your phone/computer all day and want to watch Netflix in a fancy hotel room, this isn't for you. Get out the room and enjoy what a vacation is supposed to be like!

Third Year

The people is what makes it all. The resort is old but clean, water in the shower will lack pressure at times, but if you don't sweat the small stuff you will have a great time. You can take the local bus to anywhere on the Island and fell safe. This is our third year and will be there next year to see our friends at the resort.
