Great Trip

My husband and I went for a late honeymoon and had an amazing experience. It was our first experience at an All-Inclusive and it was beyond anything we could image. We were warned by friends that All-Inclusives typically do not have great dining options but that was not our experience. We ate at two different restaurants at the resort (Don Pablo and A Brazilian Restaurant) we very much enjoyed the Brazilian Restaurant and the one night we ate at the buffet. Don Pablo was very formal and that doesn't match our personalities but the food was amazing. Our room was incredible with our own terrance and view of the ocean. We stayed in the main building with easy access to the buffet and lobby bar, which was very convenient. The beach was nice and they had a bar you could order drinks from or wait for beach service. The people working at this resort are all so friendly and accommodating. They work very hard all while keeping a smile on their face and an easy-going attitude. One day we asked for a coconut on the beach and the following day they brought 2 for us without us even having to ask, but because they remember that we LOVED it. The overall feeling of the resort is calm, relaxing, luxury. I wouldn't recommend this place if you were looking to party or go crazy. Its more of a spa-like tranquility all day, so if you want a chill relaxing vacation this is a great option.

Excellent vacation

This was a wonderful Resort. The island is beautiful and the service was phenomenal!! Unfortunately this is going from an adults only resort to family friendly I’m May. There are 4 reservation only restaurants and out of a 10 day stay we only ate at each one once, which I was disappointed with originally but the buffet was so excellent that it was fine. The choices are absolutely fantastic. You can have fresh fish or fresh cooked chicken or beef every night on top of the other choices. Breakfast is excellent as well. The beach is beautiful and the bar service at the beach is good. The animation team is fun. The non private part of the island is a nice place to get some souvenirs and Bacardi Beach is GORGEOUS. We ate an authentic Dominican lunch one afternoon and they was soooo good. Coming from the US it’s hard to fly into Samana so plan on a longer bus transport. If you go in January or February it’s humpback whale mating season and that is an incredible experience to see. The service and the beauty are incredible. We were in the main building in room 211 which all rooms on that side have a horrible view, that was the only unfortunate thing. Recommend being in a villa or one of the other buildings. Overall a 10 out of 10 vacations

Cayo Levantado

The resort was amazing. It is a beautiful Island, friendly and attentive staff and definitely worth a visit. They have a public and private beach, shows every night and a few excursions you can go on around the island. The pools are amazing. The trip to and from can be daunting, especially for Americans who have to fly into Santos Domingo. It’s a 2.5 hour cab ride. Worth the drive in my opinion.
