Our room was great we got a “free upgrade”. If you’re plannninng to spend most of your time in Cabo San Lucas I wouldn’t recommend staying here the cabs are pricey. Also the adult oool was disgusting every single day I was there. I was not able to swim at all. The beach isn’t swimmable and the food gave my friend food poisoning. There was no entertainment. I wouldn’t stay here again because I’m more into entertainment swimming eating and the night life and they did not offer or have good options in this.

Krystal Cabo

Loved the resort for relaxing. However, I did find that Spanish speaking people were catered to first. Hard to get a drink person to come around at the end of the pool. They seem to stay by the bar and food area. Until we were pulling out large tips for drinks or being waited on in the restaurants. The front desk people were nice and accommodating. Resort was really slow and we were told to not make reservations for the eating establishments as we could walk right up and get in. We seem to get right in except for the Mexican Restaurant. The gal working the reservation desk would by pass us and seat Spanish speaking people. (she was more friendly toward them) and had a bias against us that did not. Little did she know I knew enough to know she was speaking rude about us two white older women. she purposely sat us way in the back by in the worst table/spot. I told her No I didn't accept this since there were so many other open spots up at the front. Standing my ground she finally moved us. But didn't say kind things about us behind our backs. This hotel could use hospitality lessons for some of their employees. Had an aloe vera treatment in the spa since I got sunburned and the gal doing it kept sniffling and blowing her nose. In the long run I came down with her cold and spent 3 days in bed sick. Not a great vacation. Please send your sick employees HOME and not to work on paying patrons. Found the bed was nice and comfortable to be sick in. Just an FYI- Don't leave your balcony doors open if your in the closest building to the ocean. We got covered with sand flee bites that showed up on the 3 day. Over all the guacamole was very yummy and the ice cream also -(if you could catch when the machine was on, usually at lunch time only). Hotel was really nice but I wont be going back as there are too many other options in Cabo to try. And the Krystal was way further North than we wanted - cost was $40 per one way by taxi to go directly in town to shop.

Great stay! Beautiful Resort

Pros: My sister and I did a little getaway after our college graduations to the Krystal Grand (all inclusive). It is a beautiful resort- the grounds are very well kept and the staff are super friendly and polite. You can tell they make a big effort to serve guests (always hustling). Our room was clean and if we needed more water or towels, hotel staff was great about sending someone up very quickly. Resort has 4 restaurants to choose from for dining options-- food was really good and fresh (the Mexican restaurant was our favorite). Servers at all the restaurants and pool were SUPER on top of it. Cons: Krystal Grand apparently underwent remodeling after a hurricane last year destroyed much of the resort. While we were there (June 2018), a storm brought lots of rain towards the end of our stay and parts of the hotel were leaking quite a bit. Trash cans (several of them) were put under the leaks to catch the water. Cheap Caribbean did not seem to have our information when we landed and were trying to find our shuttle to the resort. Not sure how that happened, but I had to show Amstar agents the email from Cheap Car. to show we did indeed have a confirmation # and booked thru Cheap Car.

More bang for your buck Getaway

A suite with a view of the pools and the ocean. Great service with a smile. I cannot say anything negative about my time at Krystal Grand. Such a relaxing time spent poolside. 30 minutes away from Cabo San Lucas via public tranportation, which stopped right in front of the resort. We tried three of the four restaurants in the resort. Food was very good just wished the menus had more options. Buffet was great for breakfast and lunch. If your looking for a relaxing time in the pool and drinking tequila, this is the place. We did a city tour which took us to San Jose and Cabo San Lucas visiting a local restaurant, glass blowing company and a boat ride to see the arch. My wife and I are already planning our next trip next year. Looking forward to it.
