Best introduction to Jamaica

I went alone and I had the most amazing time. The staff was helpful and freindly I felt at home. The food was excellent. I went on two tours and had wonderful experiences on both. I am going back to Jamaica in a month to celebrate my birthday because I feel like i could have done so mi h more relaxing than I did. I was running around I wanted moee time on the beach. There was seaweed on the beach but the water was clean. I loved it at the hotel the drinks were great and I appreciated the time the staff took out to make me feel comfortable. It waa the best vacation I took alone. I felt safe and cared for. The only issue I had was the ATM. Make sure you have cash to buy things if you dont then be prepared to swipe. Other than that I had a great time. I got two of my friends going just because I raved so much about my experience there.

Anniversary

Trip was to celebrate 20th anniversary. Resort was not packed at the time which was nice for us, but not the staff. Food at the buffets was always plentiful and fresh. The specialty dinners were a little disappointing though. We never had a problem with the buffet though. The staff that worked at the resort were the highlight of the trip. From check in to departure, every person we came in contact with were so nice and friendly. We have been to several Iberostar resorts and this was by far the best group of workers we have ever encountered. Room was clean, food and drinks were served with a smile. Entertainment staff was very engaging but I felt bad more people didn't interact with the games and activities (including us!) they still remained positive and upbeat. The negatives were the guests. A large group of adults and children were at the resort for the majority of time of our stay. The parents were somewhat detached from the actions of the children which was disappointing. Running, screaming with no regard for other guests. The parents were oblivious and rarely corrected them. Also on previous stays Iberostar had acknowledged our return visits with something....not this time though. No big deal but there is no reward for loyalty to their brand I guess. The resort does need some updating though such as new mattress and box springs. The bed sounded like a bale of plastic bottles when you got into it. I am sure they are more focused on the other neighboring resorts which is a shame since this place is also nice. Next visit will be to the adults only side. Love kids just not their parents.....overall though great deal for the money and once again, the workers definitely made it a great vacation.

Not A Bad Vacation For The Price

This was our first time staying at this resort and wasn't disappointed. The staff was very nice and helpful. Our first room had a damp musty odor and we requested a room change, which they happily accommodated. The nightly entertainment was okay, very good singers and dancers, the show just didn't do it for us. It was tough getting reservations to some of the restaurants. Not expecting that considering the hotel wasn't that full. The buffets Jamaican selection was plentiful, however wasn't as authentic as i would have expected. We went to a local restaurant, directly across the street, and the food was excellent. We have often visited Sandals, so this was not at that level, but for the cost pretty good.

Family vacation

This was a family vacation of 15 people ages 6-80. The resort provided activities for all ages, and particularly had a "kids club" that the kids loved and freed the parents for part of the day. The few minor problems we had with the room were repaired in a timely fashion. Although our stay was during the busy February school vacation, we were able to secure lounges at the pool and beach without problem. The food was of excellent quality and variety and the restaurants were not crowded. The staff, especially the recreation staff, was excellent and provided a variety of activities during the day and evening for all ages. All in all, an excellent vacation!
