AMAZING

Read reviews before I booked at this resort and the resort was exactly if not better than the reviews. This place was beautiful, the entire staff (from check in, butlers, food staff, maintenance, etc) was AMAZING...Very attentive, extremely nice, always checked on me and my husband to make sure that everything was okay. The food was good and the buffet had so many options. Room was gorgeous and huge and I absolutely LOVED the balcony with the swing chair on it and perfect view of the blue ocean. The only complaint I have is the club on the resort was alright but could be better if the DJ knew how to correctly mix songs. He plays one song that had the crowd dancing but it seem like he completely stopped that song in order to play another song (but that song be something no one can dance to). Like how we go from partying to sitting down all within 1-2mins (because that's about how short he would play a song). Besides the club, I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone. We had such a great time and the resort is so AMAZING that we will be back next year.

Best vacation ever

We were greeted by a drink and friendly quick service. Our room was spectacular with a gorgeous bathroom, a lounge chair and a deck with a swing. We had a day & night butler who kept our fridge fully stocked. The staff, from the busboys to the grounds keepers to the entertainment was wonderful. The grounds were immaculate as were the pools. The beach was to die for. I have been using your services for four years and this vacation was the best. It was so wonderful that we will probably be returning next year as well.

Would have loved to stay longer

First time in Jamaica and based on our experience at Iberostar Grand we will definitely be back. The staff from the front desk, concierge, guest services, chefs, butlers, entertainment, etc. were all professional, welcoming, engaging and accomadating. They really made you feel at home. The resort itself really lives up to it's name with a grand entrance and a double staircase that leads to the pool and beach area. I liked the fact they had a pool for relaxing and a separate pool for the bar and activities and a variety of seating options. The food was good, I especially loved the grill by the beach. For the most part we ate from the grill and had the buffet for lunch and dinner. We did make reservations for 2 of their restaurants for dinner and the food was fairly decent. We opted for the Japanese and the gourmet restaurant. We had a swim up room which was nice when you want to get away from the other guests as our room was fairly secluded. It was also nice to be greeted with a bubble bath and heart shaped towel designs included in our turn down service. Although our stay was amazing there were some exceptions. The hallway leading to our room had poor lighting, I believe that may have been by design but it made the hallway look dated and spotlighted the carpet which was not always clean. The room was also a bit dated and needed some touching up especially in the bathroom. Also, as much as I enjoyed the food it became redundant, the buffet should have a more flexible menu. My final concern was there were cats that roamed the outside lounge and dining area. I am not particularly a cat person and I definitely don't want them roaming around my table while I'm trying to eat. No one else seemed to mind so I guess it's just me...All and all this was a great 1st impression of Jamaica.

Return to the Grand

Third visit to Jamaica Grand. No king bed on arrival. Felicia found our king W/ water front the next day. More sub bar/ inferior quality Spanish wines than before. Wait staff quick to suggest another wine for the up-charge which is signicantly overpriced. Carpets in corridors look worn, lock on patio door had to be replaced. Service is still friendly and professional in restaurant, bars, beach & coffee shop. Comfortable seating at beach w/ frequent service. Liked the beach restaurant that is open until 6pm. The addition on nachos at 4 pm is a nice touch. Entertainment has improved !! Dancing & singing from the STARS very nice. Aerobics in the ocean, Jamaican Bingo etc. lively & engaging. Pastry chef is producing excellent quality offerings!!
