Fantastic!

My husband and I stayed here five days/four nights and loved it. The rooms were big and beautiful. The service of the staff was best in class. I really think this resort has the best bartenders in the world. There was no waiting for a drink!! The food was good but I wish they had vegan options. (They had vegetarian, but no vegan.) I highly recommend but if it's your first time be firm about your time. They tend to want to "book meetings" with you right away. FT!! And about the beach, not their fault, but it was very murky and seaweedy and we got stung by jellyfish. But from what I understand, it's not like that all the time.

Amazing resort

This resort was 1st Class the entire time. Make sure you get a room with an ocean view. The service is great and the staff goes above and beyond to meet and exceed your expectations. Make sure you set your restaurant reservation as soon as you arrive because they book up fast. On the other hand the buffet is great too and 24 hr room. service. They made my birthday so special. I loved it

Paradise with a capitol P!

Booked the Iberostar Grand in Jamaica for our 5 year Anniversary trip, We were wowed by the elegant decor and beautiful views. Only to be topped by the attentive service staff. Food: Plenty of variety and fresh seafood, getting dinner reservations was not the easiest, especially for the gourmet restaurant. But the buffet or room service are a good plan b. Room: The room was spacious, the king bed was comfy, the pillow menu added luxury, great A/C, and our top floor balcony view was fantastic! The cleaning staff did a very good job. Beach & Pools: The beaches and pools had plenty of chairs/loungers and did not seem overly crowded but to ensure a prime spot you had to be an early bird. Overall: Great resort, awesome experience, we spoke with multiple couples that loved it so much, they were on their 6th, 7th, 8th visit to this resort.

Customer Service

I booked my vacation for 2 people a 4 night 5 day stay over 6 months ago for $3200.00 which included airfare. Yes Great price for 2 people. I would go on the CheapCaribbean from time to time to check on the price. Approx 2 months before my departure I noticed that price dropped close to $400.00. I contacted Cheap Caribbean spoke to customer service rep and was told that he would contact the Hotel and see what he could work out. Never got a return call and when I called and left a number of messages for the rep they would go unanswered. Poor Customer Service in keeping the Customer happy. As far as the hotel I was not impressed the 1st day there but left highly satisfied. Upon arrival and check in at Ibreostar Grand, I was told that they were totally sold out and that the King size room that I had reserved over 6 months ago was not available and that I was assigned a room with 2 double beds. Not a problem I said, then I requested a credit for the king sized room that I booked over six months ago and stated that 6 months ago you were not sold out, how could I not have the room I reserved over six month ago, what is the meaning of a reservation. I should of been told at the time of booking that the room was not available. I was then told that they would see what they can do and to check back later. I went back to the desk after lunch and problem resolved but room wasn't ready. Waited another hour for the room. I usually don't mind but after being up since 3:30am I just wanted to crash. We finally got the room which was beautiful but the refrigerator was empty no liquer, soda water or snacks... Now I order room service... Off to dinner with my group of 6 only to find out that reservations were screwed up and they only had us in there for 2 at 6pm rather than 6 at 6pm. Went to Concierge to straighten out reservations for the remainder of the trip... After a bad start and being annoyed and stressed the 1st day every day there after got better. Even though we had a rough start it turned out to be an awesome trip and Yes I am looking forward to a return trip in which I will contact the Hotel directly to make my room accomadations requesting the same room. Made plenty of friends with the hotel staff and they will be there for us when we return.
