Worth It

So here’s the deal, we didn’t realize we went when a tropical storm was hitting and we couldn’t reschedule because it was for our honeymoon and was booked months in advance. HOWEVER, I did not knock them any points for it because they can’t control the weather. If you go when it’s raining, the pools will be closed and the outdoor snacks/bars will be closed (which only sucks because the restaurants/bars alternate open times so you might be stuck with room service), BUT the excursions and indoor restaurants will remain open! The food is decent, and the servers are always super kind and accommodating. There is a charge for the room-service (about $11US) each time for the service provided, doesn’t matter how much you order. There isn’t a whole lot of communication between staff there, and the mini-room-bar is only restocked every 3 days. There are a lot of things that went wrong on this trip, but the resort was beautiful, the front desk is very helpful and the drinks were delicious. The pictures truly don’t do this place justice, it’s stunning! However, you get what you paid for so if you’re looking for a fine-dining, 5-Star experience I would try one of the more expensive resorts. (Also, there’s a TON of seaweed) 4/5 “palms” but very worth the money and gorg.

Beautiful resort

Overall we were very pleased with the value of this resort! The staff was always friendly! Our bed was so comfortable, our second room lacked a ceiling fan and was a bit hot, room was very quiet. (We were in the Sian Ka’an part) the facility itself was beautiful and well kept. Beach had tons of seaweed and not really usable. Luckily we had snorkeling gear we brought with us and went out far beyond the seaweed to enjoy the water. Food/restaurant choices were poor but I didn’t go for the food. Lines were long to get in but didn’t take a long amount of time to get seated (10-20 min). Looked like the pool for the kids was fun, we didn’t take anyone under 13. Our agent for our excursion company was rarely around but luckily the concierge was helpful and called the excursion companies directly. Definitely take dressier clothes to eat at the nicer restaurants. The part we were in was quiet, elegant and very nice. Take advantage of the rooftop area that overlooks the beach! (Adults only) It’s quiet, relaxing and felt so peaceful.

Family Vacation

+ beach ( clean, beautiful, small reef on site) + food ( everybody will always find something, taste, no issues) + pools ( for adults and kids, slides, bars, shapes) + nature ( animals, palms) - rooms ( outdated, low quality, broken, damaged a lot of things) - service ( only one person, our consierge, really understand english, terrible drinks) - hotel ( 2 restrooms for public total) Overall good for 3 stars ( good beach, pools and food). Rooms, hotel services, restrooms needs a lot of improvements.

What's to Love

Living large and chillaxing seaside where your feet melt into the soft, sugary sand .

Ogling at the vibrant, spectacular coral reef. Snorkeling gear is free, plus you can dip into the free snorkeling tour.

Stress-ousting, mind-melting spa services.

Trekking around Tulum and gazing at the view of hypnotic, crazy blue waves.

Hanging with the sea turtles at nearby Akumal. Splish splash.

Sending your little ones off to the Kids' Club for activities while you escape to Beach Chill Central.

What We'd Change

The resort is located about an hour away from the airport, but if you want to get away from it all, this is the place to be.

Why You Should Go

It's 60 miles from the airport - it's a drive, but when arrive, you'll be far away from the real world.

You can improve your game on two tennis courts. Love-Love.

There's yoga, pilates, water aerobics plus a gym/fitness center to keep your beach bod beachtastic.

For experienced divers, there's scuba on-site. If that's not your thang, there's fishing. Both for a fee.

Hotel Description

Grand Oasis Tulum: All-Inclusive, All-Amazing Gem Nestled in Eden

Off the beaten path. That's the phrase that most describes this crazy beautiful gem that's nestled away in luscious natural beauty. The delicious beach has an exquisite unusual shape that you'll love, and when you want to explore, you can check out the amazing coral reef. After that (or before, makes no difference), head to the pool for some serious relaxation. There's a Kids' Club where your little ones will squeal with excitement while you de-stress at the spa. Want more? The breath-stealing views alone are hypnotizing. You could sit in front of the dreamy water and crazy blue sky with a drink for hours and not even notice the time.
