Not good

Beach was dirty from Alger every day and could bare enjoy the water. Service was horrible everywhere. They charge extra for the room safe when you get there. Could not get a reservation at any of the restaurants even a week in advance, everything was booked all the time. Very crowded everywhere you went. By 1 pm you couldn't get a clean dry towel, they kept running out. If something finished for the day at the pools, or bars, it would not get replenished. Let me say again, service was horrible!!!!!

Worst choice ever

This resort is poorly managed, employees are here to have fun and be on their phones instead of working and helping out. You can't ask anyone for help. There was not many English speaking associates. This place is Latino based and you are treated differently and with no respect if you don't speak Spanish. I understand Spanish and don't speak much and was very upset when the receptionist made fun of me at the front desk with a guest who spoke Spanish. They were speaking about me in front of me in Spanish. Very disrespectful. They lack in cleaning, there is dust everywhere in the rooms, restrooms including the beach and pool restroom. Sheets have stains, plates are dirty they have food stuck on them. Food option are limited, you can only reserve three restaurants for dinner per week. Not many drink options if you want premium you have to pay for it. They only have one type of beer. Children's playground and jumping zone is not included. You have to pay extra. We choose turquze because of our children. It wasn't the best experience. We definitely want be back.

Worst Purchase Ever

Many things went south during my stay at Grand Bahia Principe Turquesa. A time that is meant to disconnect from your daily hustle, was actually spent in pure frustration and constant disappointments. My reservation was a party of 4 people (3 Adults Day 1: **Requested a double bed room in our reservation, when we made it to our room, the room only had a king size bed and a personal sofa bed. **Finally got our room changed to what we had originally requested, only to find out that we had not been given a TV remote control, and we had only been provided with two bath towels. After several phone calls to the lobby, they brought us the exact amount of towels per person and a Remote control which was not programmed to our TV. **They specified that the room had a Jacuzzi tub, but apparently no one took the time to realize that the plug section of the tub was broken. In which the Jacuzzi was never to retain water to bathe in. Day 2: **Las Olas Breakfast Buffet - got assigned the side room every morning in which the room's AC was apparently broken/ Fans were not on and the room temperature must have been in the mid 80s if not higher. (By the third day of getting sat in the same hot room we had to complain and were assigned to sit in a cooler area of the buffet restaurant.) **Pool Towels were always scarce, had to literally wait for 4 hours to get a clean set of pool towels. (kept being told to return to the towel stand in 30 minutes.) Day 3: **A La Carte meat/ seafood restaurant- reservation was for 8:30PM, when we arrived for our reservation, there was no meat or seafood left. we ended up eating rice, with fruit and deserts. Day 3: **Provided the lobby with our input of the previous day's restaurant reservation and the lack of meat/ seafood. Lobby provided us with a reservation to a Mexican restaurant at 6:30PM. we made it to the restaurant and the AC was not working, temperature was very uncomfortable and the floor was very slippery to where if we were not careful we would have definitely slipped. **Prior to the dinner reservation when we made it back to the room from being at the pool, we found out that we were only provided with 2 bath towels and missing two more. **The only positive note I have is the pool Bartender Marianna: she was definitely quite the individual. Excellent customer service on her part. She was the highlight of our stay** All else, was sadly, very disappointing.

What's to Love

It's all-inclusive, family-friendly beach blast. No unhappy beachers here.

Dropping the youngsters at the kids' spa while you indulge in a much-needed hot stone massage.

Being handed a welcome cocktail when you arrive - throw it back and have another.

Hittin' the waves via kayak, catamaran or paddle surfing. Beach time is the best time.

What We'd Change

The grounds hosting the multiple Grand Bahia resorts can be noisy, but Turquesa is the smallest of them and offers some relative quiet.

Why You Should Go

It's 25 minutes from the airport - a brisk trip to your tropical nirvana.

In the Bahia complex (which you have access to), Turquesa is the calmest during the day.

There's an ahh-some children's water park. Your squirts will be tickled pink.

The Family Master Suite has two interconnected rooms. Relax, you can trust the kiddos.
