Simple to Book - Great Resort

I was skeptical with Cheap Caribbean at first, but everything came out super easy, from booking the flights to transport on the ground to the resort itself. So kudos to CC for being extremely efficient for my trip. The resort was gorgeous, and the sister resort came in handy for when we wanted to mix it up. The staff was really friendly for the most part and really helpful. The pool and pool area were awesome, with bars just a few feet away. Access to the beach was super easy. The all inclusive parts: drinks were great, a lot of variety if you wanted it, and fast. Food stations/snack stations were situated at a couple areas for ease of use, and were always stocked. Getting to "downtown" was super easy given the quantity of cheap buses, and if you want to wander out of the resort there's a lot to do. I would highly recommend you book the round trip transport to and from the resort. You can do it through CC and their affiliates, and will avoid "free rides" at the airport where all you have to do is sit for a long timeshare meeting or deal with sketchy taxi services. You can schedule both pickup and return, and there is a representative in the resort for you to ask any questions. We upgraded to an ocean view room, but end up getting stuck with a corner room, where the "view" was through a separate door to a private balcony. I would have liked the balcony connected to the room via the typical sliding glass doors, but it was still pretty cool to have a small personal balcony overlooking the ocean. The room itself was clean and had all the amenities, including a personal refrigerator stocked with snacks, water, and beer that the housecleaning staff kept stocked when they cleaned. Never had an issue with the room itself. Cons: The food. It was pretty bad, except for breakfast. Sure, you have variety with a few restaurants and the room service options, and you can get unlimited quantities, but the food quality itself was pretty bad. Also, the service in the lunch/dinner restaurant, Bogavante, was horrendous (as was the food). We felt like we were being singled out to be treated like we didn't exist on purpose or that somehow just by us being in the restaurant we had offended the entire staff. Also: The upselling. Apparently you can become a "member" at this resort, which seemed like something like buying into a timeshare situation. Whatever, if you want to go that route, more power to you. However, the "concierge" staff was EXTREMELY pushy about getting you to go to a "no strings attached" "quick hour or two breakfast" to get more information, where, they said, if you simply went you were rewarded with a bottle of booze and two massages or something. The concierge made it seem like you just had to check it out, but kept trying different ways to get us to go, and this was as soon as we stepped foot in the hotel itself after travelling. We declined, but heard from a different couple who had gone that they kept people there for 4 hours in the middle of the day. So be prepared to turn it down immediately if you're not interested in a timeshare and the pushy timeshare meeting selling tactics. Overall, it was a great experience for the price, and CC did a good job of streamlining the entire process.

best vacationever

We would like to say that is was one of our best vacations ever and we have been on many vacations in the past. The hotel and people were awesome. We celebrated our anniversary and they were all so good to us. They took good care of our room and the restaurants were awesome. Alex is our favorite waiter at Bogavante. Most beautiful beach ever.Only one issue we had was the first day we got there they were on us to look at timeshare thing, which took 1/2 of our first day. How can we be asked how we enjoy the place when we had not even seen the place yet. That was not fun and we were aggravated. When we decided we were not interested should have been the end of it but we were brought into another room for one last "push" at which point I told the guy I had enough and my patience was running out. Not the best start but were by the pool after lunch and all was good.Overall the facilities and staff were wonderful and very helpful.

Exceeded Everything I expected

First Time out of the country, let me start by saying I checked reviews of about every resort until my eyes bled. I ended up choosing this resort because I saw people had almost all positives to say about it. I enjoyed my stay here and my wife was delighted at the choice. You are honestly treated like family here and the staff does an excellent job waiting on you hand and foot. Would definitely choose gr caribe for my next trip to Cancun.

What's to Love

The hauntingly beautiful Mexican-Moroccan architecture that's soothing and graceful - it lulls you right into your Chill Zone.

Resort privileges at Royal Solaris Cancun - check out the mouthwatering pizzas served by the pool and the kids will love the waterpark.

The intimate plazas, or "Mexican squares", where you can spend some quiet time relaxing, enjoying a drink and embracing that, yes, you are actually on vacay.

The spa where you can melt into stress-smashing massages, the Jacuzzi, steam room, and more. Pampering Central.

Every Thursday, you can watch exotic belly dancers in the lobby whose sensual moves channel women from antiquity. (Think Salome, but nicer versions).

You can enjoy hours of doing nothing on their gorgeous terraces. (That's what getaways are for, right?)

Dining at the sublime Bogavante restaurant as you gaze at azure water lapping a few feet away.
