Unspoiled secluded resort

My husband and I celebrated our 23 rd wedding anniversary here Nov 10 - 15 ,2017. The resort seemed new, very spread out and we had a first floor with a walk out pool.loved our location Room 8111. Kinda secluded and away from any noice there. Great food, service and very lush as it was the end of rainy season, we saw a lot of howler Monkeys, parrots, raccoons, skunks, iguanas, and an abundance of Birds....Across the street is a nature trail......This Resort is about 45 mins. From any town so if u want to do an excursion be prepared for it to take 7:30 am to 10 at night or 8- 3:30 depending on which one u take ...the beach does have some venders....we decided to just take a taxi and hired one to take us to LaCruz a town in the mountains, breathtaking views from there. The driver didn’t speak any English though and we don’t speak Spanish.sooo....ask for and make sure if u want an English speaking driver. The children have their on pool and the pools go on forever if u want to be with adults only. We loved it and would definitely go back. I’m not sure if it is a 5 star rated resort but if not it should be.

Great Resort, Amazing Pool & Views

We had a room close to the beach with a swimout pool and it was amazing. The rooms were always cleaned and restocked immediately. We were in the 1 building so it was a bit of a walk to the restaurants but you could also call for a golf cart if needed. The pools were amazing and huge - probably the best part. The beach was a bit small and wasn't owned by the resort so there were people trying to sell you things but the views of the mountains were breathtaking and the water was so warm! The food at the restaurants were good. A few drawbacks: breakfast didn't open until 7am (they have a separate coffee shop that opened before but if you are an early bird beware) Also, the swim-up bar didn't open until 10/10:30am. Since it was off season when we went there wasn't a lot of people there which was wonderful but I'm not sure if that was the reasoning of the times. The drive from the airport was about an hour (I think 95 kilometers)

Best vacation ever

This hotel is breath taking! The view is beautiful! They greet you with champagne when you arrive!Everyone is so helpful! The beach is close so all you have to wear is your suit! My favorite restaurant is Portofino! I want to come back here again next year! We booked a shared transportation from the airport! It's about an hour away and it's not close to San Jose! But Liberia has so much to offer! You can even do a day trip to Nicaragua!
