I will return!
The best part of this resort is the beautiful people that work there. I can't say a bad thing about any of them. The food was good, but the choices are very limited. You can go to three sister properties, but this resort only has a buffet and an a la carte with 4 choices for dinner. The room was nice--beds were very comfortable although not so much pillows. The biggest thing in the room that could use improvement is the shower--limited pressure and difficult to adjust the temperature of the water. However, it was very clean and nicely appointed. Loved the size of the resort and that so many watersports were included. I would definitely return....in fact, I didn't want to leave.
A beautiful place with an awesome beach (& pools). The staff was beyond friendly & helpful. The food was very appetizing, however only negative response is that there is no variety - only one restaurant for supper (that is al a carte), as the other was closed for repairs. Good food but we like a little more variety & not to have to make reservations each night. But the staff & the beautiful surroundings definitely make up for it! Also if you are looking for a resort that has entertainment & lots of activities, this is not the place - this is a nice relaxing resort with minimal entertainment/activities - it was fine for us as we just wanted to relax & enjoy the beach but if you want to be active, this isn’t the place.
First and foremost, the people who work there are incredible. From the moment we arrived, until we checked out. Even if the dining room was busy, they were running around like crazy, they still carried a smile on their face and very attentive. My husband got a little too much sun and was pretty warm while eating dinner, and she (Kathy) moved a mobile fan close to him and brought cool hand towels and placed one on his neck! That's service!
Our rooms were nice and very clean. Even the mattress was comfortable!
The dining area by the beach was down due to some issues, but in a day or two, they were under a tent serving what they could, which was delicious!
I think you will be very happy with your experience. If I had anything they could possibly add, would be additional dining, but then it just takes away from the cozy-ness of it all. :)
It is a smaller, quaint type place. We did go in off season (September) which I loved because there were literally no one on the beach. :)
We really enjoyed our time at Crystal Cove! The beaches and pools were wonderful! The resort is fairly small. However, the pools and beaches never felt overcrowded at all. The food was delicious and the cocktails were wonderful. The only complaint we had was that you had to really plan out your meals. In the morning, you had to decide where you wanted to make a dinner reservation and for what time. Sometimes, you would not be able to make a reservation until 9:00 PM. I was hoping that since it was an all inclusive, you would be able to eat at any time. The wait staff was great but the wait for food was quite long. We would often order food off of the daily menu and leave for an hour before returning to pick it up. Overall, it was a great trip!

where is the best place to stay for snorkling on beach in Barbados?2 answers
We (husband and I), are looking for a simple, clean place, right on a beach. It would be nice to have a reef right there. We don;t mind cooking our own food, prefer a view out of the room. Any suggestions?

I wanna go there
According to mydestination.com, Most of the diving takes place on the west and south coast barrier and fringing reefs: from Maycocks Bay on the north-west coast to South Winds fringe in the south-west. There is an incredible diversity of marine life on these healthy brightly coloured coral reefs.

The best place is along the west coast and the "Best" charter is by a young man who has a humble yet safe boat by the name of Roderick Clarke. His company is called: "CHOICES" and he operates a glass bottom boat. What makes his business the best is that Rod as he prefers to be called, takes the extra effort of carrying you along the calm waters of the western shore just off the parish of St. James. There he anchors off a shipwrecked boat and prepares you with snorkel, mask and life jacket for weak swimmers. Rody actually gets in the water and brings a package of shredded fish to feed the turtles and when they come to eat the fish treats, Rod takes pictures of you under water which become a lifetime of memories. Just look at my shoots and you'll agree he's the man for the job. My wife & I observed others charters and none of the others were as professional or as concerning. And we did not see any other charter get into the water or take pictures. If you went out with someone else and did not have a camera, you miss your opportunity and none of them get in the water with you.

Crystal Cove resort. We hardly got any suntan for we've been snorkeling most of the time, hehehe....right from the beach, didn't have to make a special boat trip.GREAT PLACE.

Is there a place to review the menus for the meals?2 answers
Meals are a big part of the graciousness of a vacation.. would like to see sample menus for the offerings in the restaurants.. (Is there more than one restaurant?) Where can I go to see these, and photos of the restaurant interiors? Thanks.

This resort has 2 restaurants, a buffet and a casual beach bar. For pictures, we have some one our website. Alternatively, you could go to the resort's website directly, or any of the many travel sites as well. As for the menus, as this is something that can change at any time, you would need to reach out to the resort directly for this.
JeannieCC
There are two restaurants on site. You can make reservations at the sister resorts. However, it is difficult to do. I am not sure if there is a place where you can look over the menus. What I can say is that the food is good but the service is slow. For breakfast, you will have the same options every day. For lunch, you can pick from two buffets. They do have a daily menu that you can order off of between breakfast and dinner. I would advise you to order it and leave for an hour to enjoy other activities. It can often take a while! You also have to make dinner reservations at breakfast and sometimes are stuck taking a 9:00 reservation. If it rains, they also close the open air restaurant and have a buffet in the main restaurant.

Hotel Description
Crystal Cove in Barbados: Discover Your Eden
Spanning multiple levels along Barbados' famed West Coast, this modern all-inclusive resort with its cascading pools appeals to all ages. With 88 rooms and suites in cottage-style units, this intimate resort
is more charming beachfront village than hotel. Even the three lagoon-style
pools that merge at a swim-up bar framed by a delightful waterfall add to the
magic.
Once you see the sea and beach, you'll be ready to play. Try your hand at mastering the wind and water, whether on a pair of waterskiis, a banana boat, a
kayak or a sailboat.
Feel like a casual dinner? Burgers, pasta and chicken at Drifters Beach Bar fill the bill. Prefer elegance and romance? Try roasted-vegetable
kabobs or sirloin steak on tarragon-mashed potatoes at Reflections. And if you
simply want something different, ask about the dine-around program. As a guest
of Crystal Cove Barbados, you can dine at any Elegant Hotels restaurant; so
board a water taxi that connects the resorts.
What would a Caribbean resort be without calypso music? The hotel often has
live entertainment with Caribbean rhythms, or island jazz. One perk here is the
personal hammock on select guest room balconies. On a moonlit night with a cool
sea breeze, you can spend the evening just chillin' in your hammock.
Welchman Hall Gully is one of the hidden treasures of the island. Hiking
into this unspoiled tropical forest gives you the chance to step back in time
300 years, seeing the island as it once was. Another treasure concealed in the
central uplands is Harrison's Cave. It seems as though you've entered a
different world in this natural wonder of crystallized limestone. And no visit
to the island is complete without a tour of the Mount Gay Rum distillery, a
cultural icon on Barbados and considered to be the world's first.
