Personal service makes this an outstanding resort

The resort has been refurbished. The rooms are small but comfortable. The entertainment at night was ok and featured local bands. The group "Champaign" was excellent. What separates this resort from many in the Caribbean is the service. Although having only two restaurants, the staff in the kitchen prepared dinner dishes to order. The menus at the two restaurants were different every evening which is a different model than having the same food served up from a number of restaurants locations that all tastes the same. The food was outstanding, probably the best that we have had. The beach was ok, but again the service made it special. Waiters would bring drinks out without having to ask, another waitress served ice pops. Another special feature was the offering of boat rides, sail boat rides, water taxi rides to other resorts, all at no additional cost. Swimming areas are roped-off for snorkeling, but the coral is dead. We did see a large sea turtle looking for dinner late in the afternoon. All in all a great resort that was worth the money and probably worth 4.5 Palms.

Had an amazing time!

First I want to say the staff at Crystal Cove is wonderful and was the best thing about our stay at the resort. The resort itself has a beautiful beach along with up kept scenery and great views of the ocean. I recommend getting an oceanfront view for your stay. You have 2 dining options at the resort and even though you have the option to dine at the other all inclusive resorts you have to get a reservation which proved to be very hard to do. I recommend getting a reservation for other dining options first thing in the morning or a day before to assure you will reserve a spot since there is a limit of 6 people per day to eat at another resort. Overall it was a great experience and me and my friends plan on returning.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and great location. Food is good enough and nicely presented and completely worth it since Barbados is pretty expensive. Highly recommended!

Nice !

The hotel was nice ... all inclusive. Very relaxing. Rooms were modern. Staff not too friendly. The food was good just wish there were more options. Breakfast was the same everyday. Dinner had different selections but nothing that made you feel like you were in Barbados. The food did not cater to the island. I wanted to try some of the native foods. I had to leave the resort and go to "town" so that I could try food. The sports included was well worth it. The hotel was very laid back. Definitely not the party environment. Recommended for couples and people looking for a quiet getaway! The view was beautiful. The hotel was clean and the sister hotels were also nice. Definitely would recommend it to friends. The swim up tiki bar was great !!! There were no shows during our stay.

What's to Love

The multi-tiered, lagoon-style swimming pools at the Crystal Cove Hotel are awesome and unique. The three pools meet at the swim-up bar, which you enter through a waterfall.

What We'd Change

The noise of so many people enjoying the pools can distract you if your goal is a peaceful stay. To be sure you have a relaxing time, just request a room away from the pool.

Why You Should Go

The beach is excellent and the resort offers a great selection of watersports! Try your hand at windsurfing, kayaking, sailing, waterskiing and more!

Hotel Description

Crystal Cove in Barbados: Discover Your Eden

Spanning multiple levels along Barbados' famed West Coast, this modern all-inclusive resort with its cascading pools appeals to all ages. With 88 rooms and suites in cottage-style units, this intimate resort is more charming beachfront village than hotel. Even the three lagoon-style pools that merge at a swim-up bar framed by a delightful waterfall add to the magic.

Once you see the sea and beach, you'll be ready to play. Try your hand at mastering the wind and water, whether on a pair of waterskiis, a banana boat, a kayak or a sailboat.

Feel like a casual dinner? Burgers, pasta and chicken at Drifters Beach Bar fill the bill. Prefer elegance and romance? Try roasted-vegetable kabobs or sirloin steak on tarragon-mashed potatoes at Reflections. And if you simply want something different, ask about the dine-around program. As a guest of Crystal Cove Barbados, you can dine at any Elegant Hotels restaurant; so board a water taxi that connects the resorts.

What would a Caribbean resort be without calypso music? The hotel often has live entertainment with Caribbean rhythms, or island jazz. One perk here is the personal hammock on select guest room balconies. On a moonlit night with a cool sea breeze, you can spend the evening just chillin' in your hammock.

Welchman Hall Gully is one of the hidden treasures of the island. Hiking into this unspoiled tropical forest gives you the chance to step back in time 300 years, seeing the island as it once was. Another treasure concealed in the central uplands is Harrison's Cave. It seems as though you've entered a different world in this natural wonder of crystallized limestone. And no visit to the island is complete without a tour of the Mount Gay Rum distillery, a cultural icon on Barbados and considered to be the world's first.

This hotel is All-Inclusive.
Features include:

  • Luxury accommodations
  • All meals, snacks and most drinks
  • Kids Club
  • Non-motorized watersports
  • Taxes and gratuities
