Great vacation

I was reallly pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. I did have a massage there arranged by guest services. Shante in guest services was a pleasure to work with! The hotel activities and entertainment staff were amazing. If you didn’t feel like sitting on the beach or pool they were there to play games teach dance tennis etc. I don’t remember all of their names. Oprah helped to Make our vacation memorable. We will definitely be back. It is an older property but it is well maintained in a beautiful setting. The beach is perfect! Their is entertainment every night. Great time

Its Worth IT! And I am critical

I hope many read this review and find it helpful! Before booking my trip and choosing Breezes, I read hundreds of reviews. Some were complaining the hotel is outdated, others complained the hotel/ pool was dirty, and others that the staff was rude. I am here to negate these opinions. I arrived at Breezes on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was helpful with my bags, and quick to check me in! They gave me the restaurant info and food times info immediately. There is a $100 deposit in case of room damages, that I forgot about, but not a problem, we paid in cash, and then later switched it to a card (I didnt plan on using my card, had to call bank). We (my bf and I) immediately went to the room, changed, and met our friends downstairs at the pool, at the swim up bar. They were already enjoying themselves thoroughly! The bartenders are the best, sweetest, and nicest people! They remember you, and are pretty engaging. Every staff member we came across greeted us pleasantly; front desk, bellman, janitors, engineers, etc. Our room was very clean. No issues! The TV quality was a bit fuzzy, but HEY, we arent there for TV. The only complaint I had about our room, was it never got cooler than probably 73-75 degrees Fahrenheit. I did talk to the front desk twice, and I know they tried to work on it, but it never worked properly, so sleeping was slightly uncomfortable. I could have asked for another room, but that did not occur to me until we had one day left, so I figured there was no point! Addressing the fact that this hotel is "outdated" , in my opinion this isnt the correct, the word to be used is AUTHENTIC. I felt like I was in a Bahamian Hotel. The colors are vivid! The Bahamas is a poor country, and though they do have lavish resorts/hotels, I am not coming to Vegas. I'm coming for a true experience. We did visit the Atlantis, wow. I would say very lavish and not all inclusive, but again, I could visit Vegas and have this kind of experience. If you want more, you have to pay more. Moving on, we drank every day. Drinks are stout and delicious. The outside food area has pretty good food! The Conch fritters were my favorite! Basically a hush-puppy with Conch meat, and a delicious sauce on top. They also had fish and chips which were really good and a crab salad with greek salad! The inside dining options varied in quality to me. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet! SO many options for anyone's liking. Ranges from your basic eggs and pancake with sausage and bacon breakfast or a more authentic Bahama breakfast with chicken and baked beans. But again, the options were bountiful!!!I will say, depending on what time you go to breakfast, the food may not be extremely hot, but thats at any buffet, they do have microwaves for use if I remember correctly. The lunch buffet was just OK in my opinion but it got the job done, and same goes for the dinner buffet. The restaurants are another story. Martino's, the Italian restaurant, was ok in my opinion. I make an authentic alfredo sauce at home, and mine is definitely better, but overall, I was satisfied, and the service again was great. The only issue I can see some having is the time slots. First sift of dinner is at 6. You can go down early and put your name on the list to reserve your spot. Just like any restaurant and reservation. I saw many complaints about this, and did not know why. You're an adult. Be at dinner on time if you're going to be hungry! The second slot is at 7:30 I think, and then last is at 9. My FAVORITE restaurant was the Garden of Eden. Yummmmmm all around, nothing negative at all to say! The other restaurant Munasan, I think it was, I was just not impressed. We were the first to be seated, but we were definitely neglected as a table, our server was nice, but I dont quite know what was going on there. The food, in my opinion, someone who eats Japanese a lot, I was just not impressed. The miso soup needed a generous helping of salt, the dumpling appetizer was not cooked all the way, so kinda of hard to eat. The noodles, (you would expect like lo mein or some sort of Asian spiced noodles) were not good. I eat like an animal, and I'm a woman, and the sauce with it tasted like marinara with a bad hot sauce, just not good. The "midnight snack" buffet, is of course, geared toward us who had been drinking all day. It was ok as well, when youre inebriated taste is usually a second to substance. We used Majestic Tours for our transport to and from the airport. They were outside the airport with names on the shuttles when we arrived, and the day before we left, I called early afternoon to schedule the time they needed to be at thee hotel the next morning, the bellman called them for me and handed me the phone, total time took about 2 minutes, super easy! The pool was always clean, and the beach was gorgeous. We had plenty of options to request an umbrella if needed for shade. There were usually always plenty of chairs on the beach and pool as long as you got out there shortly after 9. (we got out there around 8) My overall experience with the hotel and staff was 5 out of 5. The food overall would be a 3.5 out of 5. They had events and activities every day and night for your entertainment. I hope this helped some skeptical people. I am usually very critical when it comes to service, and I enjoyed myself!

Not worth it

The hot tub was broken and often dirty, we had to ask someone to clean it each time. When I arrived, not a single person was in the pool, and then I found out the pool heater was broken, the water was freezing, the entire time I was there.. The pool activities weren't even going on (pool volleyball) My television was broken, just wanted to watch an hour out of my trip. They had to come up twice to fix it. The food on the buffet line was always cold, the plates weren't even warm. Front desk was rude as well as the staff booking excursions. There is a towel card, that if you don't bring the towel back, they keep your card and you get charged. AND if you need a new bracelet, it's $250!! The rooms smelled unpleasant. Very dated all around Zero top shelf liquor at the bars. not even medium shelf Titos, skyy vodka, Malibu rum! The bartender didn't even know how to make a Malibu bay breeze, let alone have the ingredients. Not looking for Johnny Walker blue, but at least have absolut vodka. jeez. They have a couple restaurants on site that are randomly open, you have to check what day and time. Eden was good and filling. The staff in the restaurants were okay Super disappointed

Relaxing getaway

Great location if you’re looking for an inexpensive getaway. Very average food and service at best but it is what you would expect for the price. Beach is beautiful. Poolside entertainment was a touch loud so be sure to position yourself as far from them as possible if your goal is relaxation. If looking to do excursions do not wait until arrival as everything was booked for about a week out.

Hotel Description

Breezes Bahamas: Cable Beach, Circus Fun and Climbing Wall

If Caribbean breezes are calling your name, answer them at Breezes Bahamas, a resort with Bahamian charm, three pools, a famous beach and an awesome circus trapeze that brings a touch of the unexpected to paradise.

This Breezes resort in the Bahamas is a Nassau gem thanks to Cable Beach, where the sugar-white sand and calm, azure waters satisfy your inner beach bum. Pull up a chaise lounge, take a deep breath and let the waves erase your cares. When you need a break from tanning, slip into one of three beautiful pools or a bubbling Jacuzzi. Between the main area, misting pool and "Sip and Dip" pool, there's one that suits your style.

Dinner keeps your taste buds partying when you choose the outside tables at Garden of Eden. Dig into an Adam's Rib or Eve's Secret to find a bit of themed culinary heaven. For lighter fare, the Main Dining Room features a casual buffet while the Pool Grill offers snacks under the palms.

Looking for high octane activity? Sign up for free windsurfing lessons or test your skills on the 30-foot climbing tower. There's also kayaking, sailing, tennis and basketball. For three-ring fun, take advantage of the free lessons at the resort's circus trapeze. Or, if activity after dark sounds fun, keep on swinging at the resort. Order a martini at the Piano Bar, or head to Hurricane Disco, where on Wednesdays the smell of roast pig and the beat of steel drums lure you to an unplugged evening of Caribbean fun. On Tuesdays, make sure you bring your best jammies, because the disco features a rockin' Pajama Party.

Breezes Bahamas makes a great base for exploring Nassau. Start with a close-up look at sharks and manta rays at The Atlantis Aquarium. Or go for a hike at the Queens Staircase, where the lush gardens and limestone stairs take you back to the 18th century. For the treasure hunter, Nassau's duty-free shops offer one-of-a-kind cultural crafts.
