Breezes April 2018

This is my first review ever and felt like you should know exactly what you are getting for your money. 1. The location is great. 2. Beach is awesome. 3. Pool area is dated but a 7 on a 1-10 scale 4. Rooms are updated and nice. 5. Nightly shows in lobby are cute. They don't last but about 30 mins. 6. Safe environment. Those are the things you can get at all hotels without paying additional for all inclusive. I would consider this a hotel that includes all inclusive instead of a resort. Now for what you get for all inclusive: 1. The booze - ONLY 2 brands of beer served in entire hotel and ONLY draft served. Both are local beers, Kalik and Sands Light. The Kalik is heavier than our light beers in US and I would compare it to Miller High Life. The Sands Light is better and compares more to Corona. HOWEVER, they ran out of Sands Light at every bar everyday early. Only 1 beer that I liked and they ran out by 2 pm each day and don't replace the kegs. 2. Crazy, but they ran out of limes everyday too about mid afternoon. So, if you like beer with a lime, vodka tonic, gin and tonics, etc... you will only get a lemon, not a lime much of the time. 3. The service at every bar, especially the pool bar is terrible. They are slow, the frozen drinks are watery and not totally frozen from the slushy machine. The bartenders are non sociable and sometimes rude. Don't expect fun conversation from them. They act like you are bugging them. 4. The only call brand they have is Bacardi Rum Silver. No other call brands. No Absolute, No Tanqueray, No Jim or Jack. Mainly Barton and Montezuma brands from the well. So if you are looking for name brand booze, you will be sorely disappointed. This place is CHEAP on the beer and liquor. 5. The Food - Just ok. I'd give it a 6 on a 1-10 scale. There are a few items that made it to a 7 or 8, but don't expect great meals like you would at other all inclusives. Very small portions from the restaurants. The buffet has a good salad selection and fresh fruit daily. The hot food bar is minimal and just ok. 6. Maid service - Terrible. They didn't leave us wash clothes 2 days or a top sheet on bed 1 day. The floors were sandy upon our return 1 day like they weren't swept. Our stay was 5 days, 4 nights. They were not overcrowded, so they cant use that as an excuse. It was an ok stay. If you end up paying more than $250 a night all inclusive, you may be disappointed in the food and alcohol choices. Overall, it's a 6.5 or 7, but could be an 8 if they improved the service, food and booze.

Do Not Recommend Breezes

Was very disappointed with the Breezes hotel in Nassau. The hotel is titled as an all inclusive resort but was far from such. The hotel did not provide water in the rooms and you had to purchase bottled water from the store in the lobby. The staff was very unfriendly and did little to make you feel welcome. The hotel does not provide room service so if you miss the scheduled dining times you are out of luck on food. The pool was disgusting as it was always dirty and half off it was closed off. The alcohol was advertised as top shelf but I had never heard of the brands provided and all of the liquor was in plastic bottles. The bar in the lobby smelled like a sewer and it was awful to just order a drink from the bar. The staff was very rude and made it clear that you were not welcome nor cared if you needed assistance. The rooms were basic and no fridge, coffee, or tea maker was provided. The rooms also do not include alcohol which is very different from most all-inclusive resorts. If you wanted alcohol you had to walk down to the bars and bring back to your room. I do not recommend this hotel as the negativity surrounding the hotel placed a damper on the trip. Very old, outdated and unclean hotel with poor staff and management.

Great Beach...not much else

There are some great deals on this site but this is not one of them. The room, furnishings, linens, telephone, etc are like 30-40 years old and musty. The staff are mostly nice but I have never been in a hotel where no one picks up the phone (literally called the front desk 5 times in 2 hours, called wakeup service, called housekeeping, all NO answer and that's the norm) and many things are done half as$ It does have a large beach but for what I paid for 5 nights I should be $300-$400 less but still wouldn't go there. I wish I had read an honest review before booking. I would not go back. And ocean view means a side ocean view a foot from sliding door. When you come in the room initially, it's dead grass view in front of you. Oh and no upgrades on liquor even if you want to pay.

Hotel Description

Breezes Bahamas: Cable Beach, Circus Fun and Climbing Wall

If Caribbean breezes are calling your name, answer them at Breezes Bahamas, a resort with Bahamian charm, three pools, a famous beach and an awesome circus trapeze that brings a touch of the unexpected to paradise.

This Breezes resort in the Bahamas is a Nassau gem thanks to Cable Beach, where the sugar-white sand and calm, azure waters satisfy your inner beach bum. Pull up a chaise lounge, take a deep breath and let the waves erase your cares. When you need a break from tanning, slip into one of three beautiful pools or a bubbling Jacuzzi. Between the main area, misting pool and "Sip and Dip" pool, there's one that suits your style.

Dinner keeps your taste buds partying when you choose the outside tables at Garden of Eden. Dig into an Adam's Rib or Eve's Secret to find a bit of themed culinary heaven. For lighter fare, the Main Dining Room features a casual buffet while the Pool Grill offers snacks under the palms.

Looking for high octane activity? Sign up for free windsurfing lessons or test your skills on the 30-foot climbing tower. There's also kayaking, sailing, tennis and basketball. For three-ring fun, take advantage of the free lessons at the resort's circus trapeze. Or, if activity after dark sounds fun, keep on swinging at the resort. Order a martini at the Piano Bar, or head to Hurricane Disco, where on Wednesdays the smell of roast pig and the beat of steel drums lure you to an unplugged evening of Caribbean fun. On Tuesdays, make sure you bring your best jammies, because the disco features a rockin' Pajama Party.

Breezes Bahamas makes a great base for exploring Nassau. Start with a close-up look at sharks and manta rays at The Atlantis Aquarium. Or go for a hike at the Queens Staircase, where the lush gardens and limestone stairs take you back to the 18th century. For the treasure hunter, Nassau's duty-free shops offer one-of-a-kind cultural crafts.

This hotel is All-Inclusive.
Features include:

  • Accommodations as selected
