Fun trip, but could be better!

I enjoyed my stay at Breezes, but do believe that some things could be better. There was a distinct odor of sewage while sitting at a table near the pool bar that was awful! Beer was not really very cold at any of the service bars and each got warm very quickly once served. I didn't have an ice bucket or any cups in my room and that should be a staple item for sure! The shuttle was supposed to run every 15 minutes, but one night I waited 30 minutes and it never came. I had even spoken with a security person and had asked him to call someone, but he was busy talking with a friend. Shuttle never came before I left to go up to my room for the night. Overall, the staff was very attentive and service was good!

Not Bad

Food/ restaurant options were limited, and really light on the seafood. The pools were somewhat small, no sundry service and you had to pay an extra $10 per day for a fridge. But overall the service was good, adults only guests, the ocean view from our room was gorgeous, and the beach was right next to the resort.

Worst resort for a disabled person.

Looks nice on the outside. We got checked in, went to our handicap room, which was not handicap accessible at all. The wheelchair would not fit between the beds. There was no safety bars around the toilet, which sits very low. It did have a roll in shower with a very wobbly shower chair, which was VERY unsafe. The room was dirty. It took me 2 phone calls to the front desk and asking 2 cleaning ladies for towels, which we had none in the room, I was finally able to get 2 towels and 1 wash cloth. The ramps are very steep and small and very limited. If you are in a wheelchair your dining options are limited to the buffet and the swimming pool eating hut. The swimming pool needs to be refaced. The ceramic tiles are broken with big chunks of the tile missing. The swim up bar needs to be cleaned. Handicap people have no access to the beach. We spent a lot of our time at the resort next to Breeze, the Baha Mar, which has a casino in it and is handicap accessible. I would go back to the Bahamas but I will NEVER go back to Breezes. However, the lady that helped us at Cheap Caribbean was awesome and I will definitely keep her number and use her for my next vacation.

Overall Good Experience

Overall I had a great experience. As soon as you arrive to the hotel a bellboy is ready to handle your luggage. I appreciated that they were not expecting any tip. Then as we were waiting to check in, a staff greeted us with a delicious welcome drink. The check in process took about 20 mins. The receptionist explained all resort and hotel details. She even recommended outside resort activities. The resort and rooms were basic. It needed much renovations. The resort and rooms look exactly like what is advertised. No false representation. What I did not like was the TV. As I was watching it the cable kept disconnecting showing no signal. Also the remote was not working properly. Instead of using the channel button to navigate up or down, I had to change the channel by entering in the actual channel number individually. And when it was time to clean the rooms, house keeping came while we were not in the room and removed all the towels without replacing them. They also did not even clean the room. The dinning service was great. The staff will wait on you hand and foot. They were so polite and frequently checked if you needed a refill or something to drink. I would say the food was not the best. It looked great but everything was tasteless and unseasoned. I would recommend to only eat breakfast and from the grill outside by the pool. The beach and pool area were great. The only thing I would suggest is for the resort to provide more umbrellas or shading to protect guests from the sun.

Hotel Description

Breezes Bahamas: Cable Beach, Circus Fun and Climbing Wall

If Caribbean breezes are calling your name, answer them at Breezes Bahamas, a resort with Bahamian charm, three pools, a famous beach and an awesome circus trapeze that brings a touch of the unexpected to paradise.

This Breezes resort in the Bahamas is a Nassau gem thanks to Cable Beach, where the sugar-white sand and calm, azure waters satisfy your inner beach bum. Pull up a chaise lounge, take a deep breath and let the waves erase your cares. When you need a break from tanning, slip into one of three beautiful pools or a bubbling Jacuzzi. Between the main area, misting pool and "Sip and Dip" pool, there's one that suits your style.

Dinner keeps your taste buds partying when you choose the outside tables at Garden of Eden. Dig into an Adam's Rib or Eve's Secret to find a bit of themed culinary heaven. For lighter fare, the Main Dining Room features a casual buffet while the Pool Grill offers snacks under the palms.

Looking for high octane activity? Sign up for free windsurfing lessons or test your skills on the 30-foot climbing tower. There's also kayaking, sailing, tennis and basketball. For three-ring fun, take advantage of the free lessons at the resort's circus trapeze. Or, if activity after dark sounds fun, keep on swinging at the resort. Order a martini at the Piano Bar, or head to Hurricane Disco, where on Wednesdays the smell of roast pig and the beat of steel drums lure you to an unplugged evening of Caribbean fun. On Tuesdays, make sure you bring your best jammies, because the disco features a rockin' Pajama Party.

Breezes Bahamas makes a great base for exploring Nassau. Start with a close-up look at sharks and manta rays at The Atlantis Aquarium. Or go for a hike at the Queens Staircase, where the lush gardens and limestone stairs take you back to the 18th century. For the treasure hunter, Nassau's duty-free shops offer one-of-a-kind cultural crafts.
