    Book Elsewhere

As a Jamaican the people who were here. DO NOT represent Jamaican people. I have been outside of the resort. I had the warmest people I’ve ever had. Greet me and treat men like their own. You will not get true Jamaicans here. Just people who are either not paid enough to be there or who don’t love their jobs. The level of rudeness is so extreme it’s shocking. Day One: I arrived. And we went to check out the area. We were looking for a staff to direct us to a restaurant. There was staff of the beach so we went to them. She blocked her hand in my face- like much of the staff did to me that week. Then I proceeded to ask her wear a restaurant was. He was giving me the wrong directions… I explained to here it was the wrong direction then the other man decided to give me the correct directions. My kids were super excited and began to ask her questions l, she ignored them looked down on them then rolled her eyes at them and proceeded to kimbo off. Not looking at them. It’s one thing to be rude to an adult but an excited child? That’s insane…. I have read a lot of complaints about the rude staff. I really think we should be calling out the actions of the staff and saying what they are doing that’s rude. Remainder of the week is was one facty staff after another. You will feel like you’re back at work dealing with work drama from new hired youth than being on vacation. You’ll need a vacation from your vacation if you stay here. For the amount of money you pay. To be as disrespected as you are here. It’s not worth it to stay here.

Bahia Principe fit our large, active family perfectly

We have a family of 7 (5 boys 8-19) & the spaciousness/variety at Bahia Principe fit us perfectly. We snorkled, hit the pool, enjoyed the amazingly energetic entertainment staff at the pool. There were things to do every day & night. The food options were plentiful....It takes 2 or 3 days to really explore the whole resort. We enjoyed every meal together and never waited more than 5-10 mins to get seated. If you are looking for gourmet or are used JW Marriott or 4 Seasons, this won't work, but if a Hampton Inn/Embassy is your styke...it works perfect. We did go off resort to the Orginal Blue Hole which was $25 per person USD & totally worth it. (Note: I'd only recommend for strong swimmers, mobile people...there are life vests if you want, but you are climbing, jumping and moving).

    Bahia Principe Grand

The hotel was too big, rooms old fashioned, the mini bar ( small fridge) was rubbish, 2 small cans of beer, 3 small bottles of coke and 1 small bottle of Fanta, was only refilled on the day I arrived because I called reception, it wasn't refilled after that. I've never had to queue up for breakfast, lunch or dinner in the years I've booked All Inclusive. Reception staff too slow and not enough staff. Pool Bar closed too early and the Sports Bar upstairs ( too many steps to get up there ) and I'm a walker... it wasn't all that. Entertainment wasn't all that. Fabian Gordon who greets you when you arrive was lovely, chatty and very friendly and very much a people's person. Perfect person for the job he does. David Bailey in the gym was also friendly and informative. Other than that I definitely would not go again, it wasn't worth my 1400 for a week and definitely not 5*

    Good experience overall

Bahia Principe provided a wonderful family getaway experience. The resort was enjoyable overall; however, it would have been enhanced by the addition of a water park designed to cater to adults. One aspect that could be improved is the check-in and check-out process, which was not smooth. Additionally, offering a small token or souvenir to commemorate guests' stays would add a thoughtful touch to the experience.

Probably wouldn’t return to this resort

We went for our family Reunion the place was beautiful the customer service was terrible there was no want to serve unless there was an incentive they said they didn’t have certain foods when that wasn’t true they hide it in the back on top of that when it came to the drinks they said it was an extra cost but I never seen any signage saying imported drinks were a extra charge but the funny thing is I asked for Appleton which is manufactured on the island so that was confusing the childcare is very excellent. Also when they say they open at 11 they really mean 11:30 or 11:40 the island is beautiful but family is what made it a better experience.
