Jul 15, 2025A Great Resort But Choose Your Hotel Carefully!
Atlantis is a beautiful resort. There is always something going on and there are many things to do. Overall, the restaurants are great - especially Fish, Claudio's and Paranza (Bimini Road being the exception - stay away). It's expensive but that's to be expected. The pools and waterslides are all amazing. Staff is friendly everywhere. In terms of accommodations, The Reef was where we stayed and I would absolutely not stay there again. It's nice enough, clean and great views but the room we booked had 2 Queen beds and we ended up with 1 King and a pull out couch. Apparently, it was simply requested and not guaranteed? Not a huge deal as my son slept fine on the pull out couch but a little disappointing. Another issue we noticed was that the hallways always smelled like fish. I mean, it reeked! Mostly at night. The room was also neglected 1 of the 4 nights which was upsetting as we wanted to come back to a cleaned up room. I'm nitpicking here but the lobby shop didn't sell any beer or spirits. Apparently, it is not owned by Atlantis and they do not want the third party taking away from the sales of the restaurants/food stands. Would've been nice to unwind with a drink in the room after a long day but no such luck. Other than that, the shuttle service was great for getting around and there was always something to do. I would go back, but I wouldn't stay at The Reef.

Glad to return again
Friendly service and prices post Covid arent outrageous for an island that probably imports nearly all the ingredients and food needed to make meals at all these restaurants. Entrees between $30-40 is reasonable for people from the big American cities. Weather has been fantastic and access to private beach and pools remain a good privilege. Try Ka Sa Wan and Perenza. Both very good!!

Great resort with something for kids of all ages and adults too!
We had the best time. There is something for everyone here. The rooms at the Reefs were comfortable and spacious, and the staff were all friendly. The food was great everywhere, albeit a little pricey. Also, be prepared for the VAT tax added on everything.
