  Nive place to visit, clean and well maintained. Not very helpful staff in some cases

  The overall experience was good but was let down due to what should have been a minor administration issue with an incorrect name of the second traveller. For what should have been a simple name correction turned out to be a complete nightmare resulting in having to pay a second booking for my partner at full cost. The food in general was nice, but trying to book any of the speciality restaurants was impossible. They had to be booked through an app which was overloaded at 9am when bookings opened with all the guests trying to book a seat at the same time. A better system needs to be implemented to make these additional bookings fairer for all guests instead of whoever manages to get on the app on a first come first served basis. something like a limitation on each room number for booking the restaurants would have been better as some guests would book multiple time slots in multiple restaurants to guarantee a place and when you are a couple completing against families of 4 or more it is difficult. The buffet food was ok but was always lukewarm regardless of what time you ate. The staff at the restaurants and bars were very warm and friendly and would greet us warmly once they got to know us, especially a gentleman by the name of Andres who made us feel like we were visiting family. The room was very spacious and clean though we did need to ask for certain items to be restocked on some occasions, like toiletries or drinks. There was also a slight issue with the shower drain backing up occasionally, but this could be due to the times we showered being popular times so a lot of rooms may have also been showering putting a bit of strain on the plumbing. The bathrooms are tiled and cleaning up overspill wasn't that big of an issue. The grounds keepers and general staff were all working hard to ensure the hotel grounds were kept clean and tidy, pools were well maintained and cleaned every morning, the paths were washed and swept regularly and the overall landscaping was kept in a beautiful condition. Other than the issues that we had with the name change and booking restaurants the holiday was very relaxing and enjoyable.

  There are better options!!

  I tried to give this hotel the benefit of the doubt. But all the complaints and negative reviews were true. I've been traveling to Punta Cana for years. This hotel is not worth the 4.1 star on trip advisor- at most maybe 3. The service was very slow- it took forever to get a drink, or even glass of water. The check in process was very disorganized and also long. Our room did not have hot water- we had to call daily to get someone to fix it. One night it rained and the ceiling was leaking. Our door did not even fully close and the walls were paper thin you could hear every little noise in the hallways. It was a nightmare. Restaurant bookings were very hard to make, we were lucky enough to make 2 reservations on the app. The bar drinks were poor. There are definitely better beaches in Punta Cana. Pools were nice and Buffet food was good with many options. One of the positives of this hotel was the entertainment- they always had something going on. Unless you are in the sun club I would not recommend going. There are definitely better options.

  RUN, do not stsy

  Absolutely disgusting hotel. United cancelled our flight and put us there. First room smelled like someone smoked a ton in it. Toilet had stains as did the shower and floor. Room was depressing, outdated, unclean and overall gross. Doors didn’t lock properly unless slammed. Furniture was falling apart and in disrepair. The food was disgusting.

  American Airlines passengers should not accept this accommodation, if offered.

  If American Airlines wants to put you here due to a flight cancelation, run somewhere else quickly. Our room stunk of mold and mildew, was in bad repair, sliding door would not lock and staff are hostile. Our room made us very sick, for days.

  I would still vacation there. Was definitely worth the money. just needs more help in training the staff

  Most of the experience was not Bad thanks to people like Marcos rep from UVC working there who was amazing. But the first room i received was full of mosquitoes and was dirty. The food if not being prepared for you right there and than at the buffet was cold if you didnt go to kaleidoscope to go eat. To book a reservation at the side restaurants is horrible. The cleaning lady for 3106 was horrible and never supplied the room with liquid soap or shampoo. The mosquitoes were only in the room in that first room when moved because of all the inconvenience lucky there was availability. The stay was much better. The buffet could get better with service. The fresh food was good. But to get drinks is occasionally hard.
