Very nice place and we had fun except for the following: - the slider door does not have a handle on the outside. So if you close it fully, to make sure the AC's on, it's very difficult to get back in the room. My wife was stuck outside during the hottest part of the day. She called out to people to help her but end up having to wait until I showed up to let her back in the room. - the Butler service was good but also not worth the price you pay. - The website says bottle service every night you're there. But it's only one bottle for your entire stay. You have to pay extra for the next bottle

I went to the resort with family and from the point of arrival up until we left customer service was very poor! We booked a swim out room at the adults only side of the resort but when we got there we were at a different area. Instead of the check-in person apologizing for the mix up they were only interested in getting money. The private butler we had was nonexistent we saw him when we arrived and that’s the last time we saw him. We had no wash cloths in our room and had to get some from my daughter’s room because none was ever brought to our room. The food was not the best, there was little to no Dominican food there and the food that was there was very lightly seasoned. I will say the resort itself was very nice other than that I wouldn’t recommend it.

Good, not phenomenal.
The service is great! The food is regular for this type of hotel, but it is completely impossible to get a reservation in one of the specialty restaurants. You're supposed to reserve through an app, but the reservations open at random times, and get occupied in seconds. I think they all go to the guests with the butter service, since they are notified when the reservations are opened. So, you'll only be able to eat at the buffet. Also, there are not nearly enough beach chairs in the pool area. They all get taken in the morning.

Resort experience great, food experience not so much…
This was our second time at Hideaway and the contrast is stark. Most of the people that work there are beyond outstanding. Juan at the pool bar is just a great guy. Brandy and Yovanny at the beach bar really are wonderful and provide great service. The overall vibe of the employees is that they are very thankful you came. The resort is quite nice, beautiful rooms, comfortable bed, the place isn’t all spread out. Two thumbs up all the way around. Now, the bad…I’ve stayed at all kinds of different all exclusives and they are generally the same in the sense that you might not be able to eat at the exact restaurant you want that night but before you leave, you will. NOT HERE, we stayed seven nights and could not get a single reservation to anything, NOTHING! Thank heaven for Dorado (Hideaway exclusive) or we would have eaten every meal at the buffet. The problem with all of this is no one prepared us for this situation. The description of the resort states they have, I believe, 14 on site restaurants and our first trip we tried a great many of them. This time, you ask the staff about getting a reservation and we were told to use the app (useless), told by our concierge they would help and to come back at 5pm (could never find them when we needed them) or in couple of instances told that was just how it was and there was nothing they could do. We even had a lady who was trying to sell us on some kind of “program” through the hotel that the reason we couldn’t get a reservation was because of who we booked our stay with. In the end, I did not starve but I ate most meals at an average resort buffet. Not exactly the 5 star resort treatment I was expecting. To sum this all up, if you want a nice resort, good drinks, great people by all means this is your place. If you want any kind of dining experience, look elsewhere.

The resort was great. Everything was perfect. The beach was great. The staff was amazing. Our butler Dennis was the best service I’ve ever had. He helped with all our needs while he was very happy to help.
